    I am using MPMoviePlayerController for playing the media . I want to set the image at the background of the player.The image is set accordingly but when i set the bounds for the image then the image is not set according to bounds . Well I've looked up several methods to fix this in my Windows Phone 7 app but I can't seem to find anything that works. What confuses me is that I've done something just like this before with no problem, so I'm not sure why it's not working. The code causing me the problem is this: if (appSettings.Contains("image")) { myImage.Source = (string)appSettings["image"]; } else { myImage.Source = "default.jpg"; } The error I get is this "Cannot implicitly convert type 'string' to 'System.Windows.Media.ImageSource". The reason this confuses me is because I did this Twitter app tutorial: http://weblogs.asp.net/scottgu/archive/2010/03/18/building-a-windows-phone-7-twitter-application-using-silverlight.aspx , in which you bind the image source directly to a string. So what can I do to remedy this?

  • Image overlapping in widget

    I am trying to create a widget in android in which when I click over image the image gets changed with a new one -- kind of toggle image. But when I click over it, the image overwrites over the old one rather then replacing the new one. I don't know whether this is the way the widget works or am I doing something wrong. My images are semi-transparent so in case one overrides another one can see the image which is being overlapped.   • Redirecting specific traffic to amazon AWS

    My server has recieved sudden increase in the (read) web traffic, requesting many map image tiles, and apache cannot handle it. Apache cannot even handle the redirections! The average load I get in my CentOS machine is more then 200.. Is there some software out there that can redirect SOME of the traffic, such as only the traffic from specific directory (such as http://example.com/maptiles/abc.png) to a different address (sucha as http://s3.amazonaws.com/mytiles/abc.png) ? can this be done by HAProxy?

  • UIImageView Centering Problem.

    To understand my problem let's follow this steps. Open - XCode - New Project - View based application. Open View Controller.xib file. Drag an image-view into viewController's view. Place that image view on center of viewController's view. Apply size of 125x125 to image-view. Take any image with dimension of 320 width & 460 height. Drag that image into your application resources directory. Now, Again back to .xib File & select image-view Set image (which is in your resources) to image-view Set Image-view Mode to - Center Ok. Let me explain the situation now. after performing all above steps - image-view has an image which is larger than image-view's size. However, Image-view places that image on center & in View controller image-view is looking proper ( not scaled ). But When you run your application, image-view will be displayed in size of 320x460. ( but it is not actually scaled. ) Now, I can't find the reason, why interface builder is displaying something else & simulator/iphone is displaying something else ? My Query. I want the image's center portion within image-view no matter what image size is. Thanks in advance for sharing your knowledge. Sagar.

  • PHP Resize image down and crop using imagemagick

    I'm trying to downsize image uploaded by users at the time of upload. This is no problem but I want to get specific with sizes now. I'm looking for some advice on an algorithm im struggling to produce that will take any shape image - square or rectangle of any widths/heights and downsize it. This image needs to be downsized to a target box size (this changes but is stored in a variable).. So it needs to downsize the image so that both the width and height are larger than the width and height of the target maintaining aspect ratio. but only just.. The target size will be used to crop the image so there is no white space around the edges etc. I'm looking for just the algorithm behind creating the correct resize based on different dimension images - I can handle the cropping, even resizing in most cases but it fails in a few so i'm reaching out. I'm not really asking for PHP code more pseudo. Either is fine obviously. Thanks Kindly.

    Hi, I am trying to use a Microtheory for a research project I am working on, and am having trouble getting my saved Image of constants I create to work correctly. I save the image after creating the constants using (write-image "world\MyImage") and then going to the \server\run\ directory and using run-cyc-32bit.bat -w "world\MyImage" It loads the server correctly, but not with my constants. So what is the mechanism for triggering an image load? Is it just magic?     Hello, I have an issue with my eventListeners with the URLLoader, but this issue happens in IE, not in FF. public function getUploadURL():void { var request:URLRequest = new URLRequest(); request.url = getPath(); request.method = URLRequestMethod.GET; _loader = new URLLoader(); _loader.dataFormat = URLLoaderDataFormat.TEXT; _loader.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, getBaseURL); _loader.load(request); } private function getBaseURL(event:Event):void { _loader.removeEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, getBaseURL); } The issue is that my getBaseURL gets executed automatically after I have executed the code at least once, but that is the case only in IE. What happens is I call my getUploadURL, I make sure the server sends an event that will result in an Event.COMPLETE, so the getBaseURL gets executed, and the listener is removed. If I call the getUploadURL method and put the wrong path, I do not get an Event.COMPLETE but some other event, and getBaseURL should not be executed. That is the correct behavior in FireFox. In IE, it looks like the load() method does not actually call the server, it jumps directly to the getBaseURL() for the Event.COMPLETE. I checked the willTrigger() and hasEventListener() on _loader before assigning the new URLLoader, and it turns out the event has been well removed. I hope I make sense, I simplified my code. To sum up quickly: in FireFox it works well, but in IE, the first call will work but the second call won't really call the .load() method; it seems it uses the previously stored result from the first call.     Hello, My server @ codemeh.com (HTTP Server) seems to be randomly loading slowly, I cannot tell if it just my forums (http://www.codemeh.com/forums/) that are loading slowly or if the WHOLE site is just loading slowly since my forums are the largest thing on the site right now. load average: 0.02, 0.17, 0.20 That is super low to my knowledge. I have tried Google Page Analytic plug-in for FireFox to solve the problem but nothing comes up that is VERY bad.
