• Authlogic OpenID: Fetching E-Mail from Provider.

  This is a really weird problem: I have set up the authlogic_openid_selector_example app. When i register, the email id is not returned by the openid provider the first time. But if i delete the account and register again, the email id is returned. But this doesn't seem to be happening in the example hosted here: http://big-glow-mama.heroku.com/. How do i fix this problem? Has this got to do with caching? I have hosted my version of the app here: http://pingauthtest.heroku.com/ I guess the author of authlogic_openid_selector_example app (@holden) has forgotten to commit new changes. :) I looked at my development log and the first time the provider doesn't return the openid.ext1.value.ext0 which contains the email id. This is returned the second time only after having deleted the account first. • Using android gesture on top of menu buttons

  What I want is to have an options menu where the user can choose to navigate the menu between: 1) touching a button and then pressing down on the trackball to select it, and 2) drawing predefined gestures from Gestures Builder As it stands now, I have created my buttons with OnClickListener and the gestures with GestureOverlayView. Then I select starting a new Activity depending on whether the using pressed a button or executed a gesture. However, when I attempt to draw a gesture, it is not picked up. Only pressing the buttons is recognized. Now what tells the program where to go to convert?? my question is: I want to create mode key to swich between 2 modes: MorseTochar and MorseToNum. i want the down arrow key to act like a mode, when a user press the down arrow then it the program will be in MorseToChar mode, when ever the user input the program directly use the method convert_MorseToChar to convert to characters. and when the user press the down arrow agian, the prohram will swich to MorseToNum mode here when ever the user input as morsecode, the program will directly use the method Convert_MorseToNum() to convert to numbers. • ImageMagick: convert png fail via PHP and works via bash shell

  I've got a very weird bug which I've yet to find a solution. UPDATE see solution below What I am trying to do is convert a full size picture into a 160x120 thumbnail. It works great with jpg and jpeg files of any size, but not with png. ImageMagick command: /opt/local/bin/convert '/WEBSERVER/images/img_0003-192-10.png' -thumbnail x320 -resize '320x<' -resize 50% -gravity center -crop 160x120+0+0 +repage -quality 91 '/WEBSERVER/thumbs/small_img_0003-192-10.png' PHP function (shortened) ... $cmd = "/opt/local/bin/convert '/WEBSERVER/images/img_0003-192-10.png' -thumbnail x320 -resize '320x<' -resize 50% -gravity center -crop 160x120+0+0 +repage -quality 91 '/WEBSERVER/thumbs/small_img_0003-192-10.png'"; exec($cmd, $output, $retval); $errors += $retval; if ($errors > 0) { die(print_r($output)); } When this function runs $retval equal 1 which means the convert command failed (thumbnail isn't created). • Why wont my if statement work, in my stored procedure

  Hi folks Not too sure what's going on here as this doesn't seem like standard practise to me. But basically I have a basic database thingy going on that lets users submit code snippets. They can provide up to 5 tags for their submission. Now I'm still learning so please forgive me if this is obvious!   Okay, I've got my normal app which is in portrait mode. I've received a request to hide the underlines for the shortcuts if the dialog is in read only mode. Other than editing the label text at runtime (ugh) is there any way to remove them? When I tap a textField the keyboard should slide up, however first time when the keyboard slides it slides from the right (where the home button is). After that it slides up and down as expected. So only the first time when I call the keyboard in it comes from where it would come if the app would be in portrait mode. Does anyone know how can I fix this?

• Deadlock in SQL Server 2005! Two real-time bulk upserts are fighting. WHY?

  Here's the scenario: I've got a table called MarketDataCurrent (MDC) that has live updating stock prices. I've got one process called 'LiveFeed' which reads prices streaming from the wire, queues up inserts, and uses a 'bulk upload to temp table then insert/update to MDC table.' (BulkUpsert) I've got another process which then reads this data, computes other data, and then saves the results back into the same table, using a similar BulkUpsert stored proc. Thirdly, there are a multitude of users running a C# Gui polling the MDC table and reading updates from it. Now, during the day when the data is changing rapidly, things run pretty smoothly, but then, after market hours, we've recently started seeing an increasing number of Deadlock exceptions coming out of the database, nowadays we see 10-20 a day. The imporant thing to note here is that these happen when the values are NOT changing. To me it looks like it's deadlocking on the PK of the table, so I tried removing that PK and switching to a Unique Constraint instead but that increased the number of deadlocks 10-fold. I'm totally lost as to what to do about this situation and am open to just about any suggestion. HELP!! • is there difference between debug and release reference path while compiling?

  I am building a SL3 + RIA application in VS2008. When compiled the application in debug mode it compiles fine with out any error, but when I compile the same application with out any code change in release mode I get an error 'The type of namespace name 'BusyIndicator' does not exist in the namespace 'System.Windows.Controls' (are you missing an assembly reference). All the errors are coming from the generated code name.g.cs Just curious anyone run into this problem.

RewriteRule ^adm/(.*)$ adm.php?mode=$1 I've used that for the example URL: http://www.domain.com/adm/thismode Now I want to get two methods like: http://www.domain.com/adm/thismode/othermode I've tried this: RewriteRule ^adm/(.*)$/(.*)$ adm.php?mode=$1&othermode=$2 But doesn't seem to work... how do I get it to do that?
