  • PHP Postgres constraint violation - can I get the constraint name somehow?

    - by RnR
    We have a web application talking to a Postgres SQL database at work - I've set up many constraints on the server to keep data consistent but we have problems with reporting nicely what it is that prevents the user from entering his (invalid) data at a given moment. The only thing we can get is "Constraint violation" but that isn't very descriptive, from perl or directly from PGAdmin we get nice info as to which constraint caused the failure (the constraint's name) - is there a way to do the same in PHP? We're able to upgrade PHP or use a different db access module if it would help so I'm interested in knowing if it's possible to do using any way that you could safely recommend.

  • In Django, using __init__() method of non-abstract parent model to record class name of child model

    - by k-g-f
    In my Django project, I have a non-abstract parent model defined as follows: class Parent(models.Model): classType = models.CharField(editable=False,max_length=50) and, say, two children models defined as follows: class ChildA(Parent): parent = models.OneToOneField(Parent,parent_link=True) class ChildB(Parent): parent = models.OneToOneField(Parent,parent_link=True) Each time I create an instance of ChildA or of ChildB, I'd like the classType attribute to be set to the strings "ChildA" or "ChildB" respectively. What I have done is added an _ _ init_ _() method to Parent as follows: class Parent(models.Model): classType = models.CharField(editable=False,max_length=50) def __init__(self,*args,**kwargs): super(Parent,self).__init__(*args,**kwargs) self.classType = self.__class__.__name__ Is there a better way to implement and achieve my desired result? One downside of this implementation is that when I have an instance of the Parent, say "parent", and I want to get the type of the child object linked with "parent", calling "parent.classType" gives me "Parent". In order to get the appropriate "ChildA" or "ChildB" value, I need to write a "_getClassType()" method to wrap a custom sql query.

  • What do you name your files when using MVC?

    - by sprugman
    When using the MVC pattern, which I'm not terribly experienced with, I find myself naming things like this: /app/views/widget.php /app/models/widget.php /app/controllers/widget.php That appeals to me because it's easy to find associated classes, and I lean towards shorter names when practical. However, when I'm looking in my IDE, I see three different files called widget.php, which is confusing. I'm tempted to add "_v", "_c", "_m" or something to each name. How do you handle this? FWIW, I'm using CodeIgniter at the moment, and I don't know if there are any special benefits to using a particular convention, or any standard practices. Regardless, I'm intersted in the best-practices from various platforms.

  • [VB.NET] Same name methods in different modules cause ambiguity.

    - by smwikipedia
    I have 2 modules. Each contains a Sub with the same name. See below: Module moduleA Public Sub f(ByVal arg1 As myType) Console.WriteLine("module A") End Sub End Module Module moduleB Public Sub f(ByVal arg1 As myType, ByVal arg2 As Boolean) Console.WriteLine("module B") End Sub End Module But the compiler complains that there's ambiguity between moduleA and moduleB. How could this be? I have totally different signatures. However, if I put the 2 methods into the same module, there's no ambiguity at all. Could someone tell me why? Many thanks.

  • Is it possible to define XML scheme with node names specified via regular expressions?

    - by MartyIX
    Hello, I know it is probably a question against XML philosophy but still is it possible to define scheme for XML like this: <Root> <arbitrary-name-of-node> <Name></Name> <Position></Position> <!-- ... --> </arbitrary-name-of-node> <arbitrary-name-of-node> <Name></Name> <Position></Position> <!-- ... --> </arbitrary-name-of-node> </Root> where arbitrary-name-of-node matches regular expression [a-zA-Z0-9]? Thanks for an answer!

  • Count function calls by name or signature. Gcc, C++

    - by MajesticRa
    I have some c++ written package. Linux, gcc. I can modify compilation process (change Makefile, flags, etc.), but can not change C++ source code. One runs the package with different parameters, it does a job and exits. How to count: 1) Number of calls of function with specific name? 2) Number of calls of functions with specific signature? 3) Number of calls of functions where one of the parameters is of specific type i.e. std::string (type is specified by signature)? 4) and extra Number of calls of functions of STL objects, i.e. std::string copy constructor? (I mean count a number of calls during the run. ) I thought to do it with GDB, but I found it very tough to do (1) and have not found how to do (2)-(4) at all. All acceptable answers I will write here for humanity.

  • ActiveRecord validates... custom field name.

    - by Dmitriy Likhten
    I would like to fix up some error messages my site generates. Here is the problem: class Brand < ActiveRecord::Base validates_presence_of :foo ... end My goal is to make a message "Ticket description is required" instead of "Foo is required" or may not be blank, or whatever. The reason this is so important is because lets say previously the field was ticket_summary. That was great and the server was coded to use that, but now due to crazy-insane business analysts it has been determined that ticket_summary is a poor name, and should be ticket_description. Now I don't necessarily want to have my db be driven by the user requirements for field names, especially since they can change frequently without functionality changes. Is there a mechanism for providing this already?

  • TypeError: object not callable when making instance

    - by TSM
    I've searched around other threads with similar questions, but I'm not finding the answer. Basically, I have a class: import Android_Class class Android_Revision(object): def __init__(self): # dict for storing the classes in this revision # (format {name : classObject}): self.Classes = {} self.WorkingClass = Android_Class() self.RevisionNumber = '' def __call__(self): print "Called" def make_Class(self, name): newClass = Android_Class(name) self.Classes.update({name : newClass}) self.WorkingClass = newClass def set_Class(self, name): if not(self.Classes.has_key(name)): newClass = Android_Class(name) self.Classes.update({name : newClass}) self.WorkingClass = self.Classes.get(name) I'm trying to make an instance of this class: Revision = Android_Revision() and that's when I'm getting the error. I'm confused because I have another situation where I'm doing almost the exact same thing, and it's working fine. I can't figure out what differences between the two would lead to this error. Thanks.

  • Can two different versions of the same libs (with same name) exists in an application?

    - by Jay
    I have some scenario like this: Product- Platform- mylibs(version-1) Product- mylibs(version-2) i.e Product uses mylibs (version-2) directly. Product also uses platform (which is also a dynamic lib) and platform uses my libs (version-1). The names of the libs used by product and platform are same. Only versions are different and both these versions are not compatible. Is there a way with ".so" libs in linux that Platform can link to one version and product can link to another version of the same libs having the same name?

  • How to $.extend 2 objects by adding numerical values together from keys with the same name?

    - by muudless
    I currently have 2 obj and using the jquery extend function, however it's overriding value from keys with the same name. How can I add the values together instead? obj1 = {"orange":2,"apple":1, "grape":1} obj2 = {"orange":5,"apple":1, "banana":1} mergedObj = $.extend({}, obj1, obj2); var printObj = typeof JSON != "undefined" ? JSON.stringify : function(obj) { var arr = []; $.each(obj, function(key, val) { var next = key + ": "; next += $.isPlainObject(val) ? printObj(val) : val; arr.push( next ); }); return "{ " + arr.join(", ") + " }"; }; console.log('all together: '+printObj(mergedObj) ); And I get obj1 = {"orange":5,"apple":1, "grape":1, "banana":1} What I need is obj1 = {"orange":7,"apple":2, "grape":1, "banana":1}

  • Omit attribute name from validation error message (at start of it)?

    - by mrbrdo
    I write code in English but I'm currently doing a site which is fully translated to another language (validation error messages included). However, I have a problem because validation error messages always seem to include the name of the attribute the error is on at the start of the error, e.g.: Title Prosimo izpolnite naziv fakultete. I want to get rid of the Title at the start, like so: Prosimo izpolnite naziv fakultete. Any help is appreciated. I would rather see if this can be solved without installing any 3rd party plugins. If it's possible to provide translations for attribute names, that would be a cool solution too, but I would still like to know how it can be done both ways (omit or translate).

  • Understanding Collabnet&rsquo;s LDAP binding

    - by Robert May
    We want to use both subversion usernames and passwords as well as Active Directory for our authentication on our Collabnet subversion server. This has proven to be more of a challenge than we thought, mostly because Collabnet’s documentation is pretty poor. To supplement that documentation, I add my own. The first thing to understand is that the attribute that you specify in the LDAP Login Attribute ONLY applies to lookups done for the user.  It does NOT apply to the LDAP Bind DN field.  Second, know that the debug logs (error is the one you want) don’t give you debug information for the bind DN, just the login attempts.  Third, by default, Active Directory does not allow anonymous binds, so you MUST put in a user that has the authority to query the Active Directory ldap. Because of these items, the values to set in those fields can be somewhat confusing.  You’ll want to have ADSI Edit handy (I also used ldp, which is installed by default on server 2008), since ADSI Edit can help you find stuff in your active directory.  Be careful, you can also break stuff. Here’s what should go into those fields. LDAP Security Level:  Should be set to None LDAP Server Host:  Should be set to the full name of a domain controller in your domain.  For example, dc.mydomain.com LDAP Server Port:  Should be set to 3268.  The default port of 389 will only query that specific server, not the global catalog.  By setting it to 3268, the global catalog will be queried, which is probably what you want. LDAP Base DN:  Should be set to the location where you want the search for users to begin.  By default, the search scope is set to sub, so all child organizational units below this setting will be searched.  In my case, I had created an OU specifically for users for group policies.  My value ended up being:  OU=MyOu,DC=domain,DC=org.   However, if you’re pointing it to the default Users folder, you may end up with something like CN=Users,DC=domain,DC=org (or com or whatever).  Again, use ADSI edit and use the Distinguished Name that it shows. LDAP Bind DN:  This needs to be the Distinguished Name of the user that you’re going to use for binding (i.e. the user you’ll be impersonating) for doing queries.  In my case, it ended up being CN=svn svn,OU=MyOu,DC=domain,DC=org.  Why the double svn, you might ask?  That’s because the first and last name fields are set to svn and by default, the distinguished name is the first and last name fields!  That’s important.  Its NOT the username or account name!  Again, use ADSI edit, browse to the username you want to use, right click and select properties, and then search the attributes for the Distinguished Name.  Once you’ve found that, select it and click View and you can copy and paste that into this field. LDAP Bind Password:  This is the password for the account in the Bind DN LDAP login Attribute: sAMAccountName.  If you leave this blank, uid is used, which may not even be set.  This tells it to use the Account Name field that’s defined under the account tab for users in Active Directory Users and Computers.  Note that this attribute DOES NOT APPLY to the LDAP Bind DN.  You must use the full distinguished name of the bind DN.  This attribute allows users to type their username and password for authentication, rather than typing their distinguished name, which they probably don’t know. LDAP Search Scope:  Probably should stay at sub, but could be different depending on your situation. LDAP Filter:  I left mine blank, but you could provide one to limit what you want to see.  LDP would be helpful for determining what this is. LDAP Server Certificate Verification:  I left it checked, but didn’t try it without it being checked. Hopefully, this will save some others pain when trying to get Collabnet setup. • Calling XAI Inbound Services from Oracle BI Publisher

    - by ACShorten
    Note: This technique requires Oracle BI Publisher 1.1.3.4.1 which supports Service Complex Types. Web Services require credentials for authentication. Note: The deafults for the product installation are used in this article. If your site uses alternative values then substitute those alternatives where applicable. Note: Examples shown in this article are examples for illustrative purposes only. When building a report in Oracle BI Publisher it may be necessary to call an XAI Inbound Service to get information via the object rather than directly calling the database tables for various reasons: The CLOB fields used in the Object are accessible for a report. Note: CLOB fields cannot be used as criteria in the current release. Objects can take advantage of algorithms to format or calculate additional data that is not stored in the database directly. For example, Information format strings can automatically generated by the object which gives consistent information between a report and the online screens. To use this facility the following process must be performed: Ensure that the product group, cisusers by default, is enabled for the SPLServiceBean in the console. This allows BI Publisher access to call Web Services directly. To ensure this follow the instructions below: Logon to the Oracle WebLogic server console using an appropriate administrator account. By default the user system or weblogic is provided for this purpose. Navigate to the Security Realms section and select your configured realm. This is set to myrealm by default. In the Roles and Policies section, expand the SPLService section of the Deployments option to reveal the SPLServiceBean roles. If there is no role associated with the SPLServiceBean, create a new EJB role and specify the cisusers role, by default. For example:   Add a Role Condition to the role just created, with a Predicate List of Group and specify cisusers as the Group Argument Name. For example: Save all your changes. The XAI Inbound Services to be used by BI Publisher must be defined prior to using the interface. Refer to the XAI Best Practices (Doc Id: 942074.1) from My Oracle Support or via the online help for more information about this process. Inside BI Publisher create your report, according to the BI Publisher documentation. When specifying the dataset, under the Data Model Report option, specify the following to use an XAI Inbound Service as a data source: Parameter Comment Type Web Service Complex Type true Username Any valid user name within the product. This user MUST have security access to the objects referenced in the XAI Inbound Service Password Authentication password for Username Timeout Timeout, in seconds, set for the Web Service call. For example 60 seconds. WSDL URL Use the WSDL URL on the XAI Inbound Service definition as your WSDL URL. It will be in the following format by default:http://<host>:<port>/<server>/XAIApp/xaiserver/<service>?WSDLwhere: <host> - Host Name of Web Application Server <port> - Port allocated to Web Application Server for product access <server> - Server context for server <service> - XAI Inbound Service Name Note: For customers using secure transmission should substitute https instead of http and use the HTTPS port allocated to the product at installation time. Web Service Select the name of the service that shows in the drop-down menu. If no service name shows up, it means that Publisher could not establish a connection with the server or WSDL name provided in the above URL in order to get the service name. See BI Publisher server log for more information. Method Select the name of the Method that shows in the drop-down menu. A method name should show in the Method drop-down menu once the Web Service name is selected. For example: Additionally, filters can be used from the Web Service that can be generated, required or optional, from the WSDL in the Parameter List. For example:

  • [Silverlight] How to watermark a WriteableBitmap with a text

    - by Benjamin Roux
    Hello, In my current project, I needed to watermark a WriteableBitmap with a text. As I couldn’t find anything I decided to create a small extension method to do so. public static class WriteableBitmapEx { /// <summary> /// Creates a watermark on the specified image /// </summary> /// <param name="input">The image to create the watermark from</param> /// <param name="watermark">The text to watermark</param> /// <param name="color">The color - default is White</param> /// <param name="fontSize">The font size - default is 50</param> /// <param name="opacity">The opacity - default is 0.25</param> /// <param name="hasDropShadow">Specifies if a drop shadow effect must be added - default is true</param> /// <returns>The watermarked image</returns> public static WriteableBitmap Watermark(this WriteableBitmap input, string watermark, Color color = default(Color), double fontSize = 50, double opacity = 0.25, bool hasDropShadow = true) { var watermarked = GetTextBitmap(watermark, fontSize, color == default(Color) ? Colors.White : color, opacity, hasDropShadow); var width = watermarked.PixelWidth; var height = watermarked.PixelHeight; var result = input.Clone(); var position = new Rect(input.PixelWidth - width - 20 /* right margin */, input.PixelHeight - height, width, height); result.Blit(position, watermarked, new Rect(0, 0, width, height)); return result; } /// <summary> /// Creates a WriteableBitmap from a text /// </summary> /// <param name="text"></param> /// <param name="fontSize"></param> /// <param name="color"></param> /// <param name="opacity"></param> /// <param name="hasDropShadow"></param> /// <returns></returns> private static WriteableBitmap GetTextBitmap(string text, double fontSize, Color color, double opacity, bool hasDropShadow) { TextBlock txt = new TextBlock(); txt.Text = text; txt.FontSize = fontSize; txt.Foreground = new SolidColorBrush(color); txt.Opacity = opacity; if (hasDropShadow) txt.Effect = new DropShadowEffect(); WriteableBitmap bitmap = new WriteableBitmap((int)txt.ActualWidth, (int)txt.ActualHeight); bitmap.Render(txt, null); bitmap.Invalidate(); return bitmap; } } For this code to run, you need the WritableBitmapEx library. As you can see, it’s quite simple. You just need to call the Watermark method and pass it the text you want to add in your image. You can also pass optional parameters like the color, the opacity, the fontsize or if you want a drop shadow effect. I could have specify other parameters like the position or the the font family but you can change the code if you need to. Here’s what it can give Hope this helps.

  • Sharing configuration settings between Windows Azure roles

    - by theo.spears
    If you are working on a medium-large Windows Azure project it's likely it will involve more than one role, for example separate web and worker roles. Unfortunately although all the windows azure configuration settings are stored in a single cscfg file, there is no way to share configuration settings between multiple roles. This means you have to duplicate common settings like connection strings across all your roles. There is an open Connect issue about this topic, but Microsoft have not said when they will fix it. In the mean time I've put together a dirty dirty hack cunning workaround that creates a fake role containing your shared configuration settings, and copies it to all roles as part of the build process. Here's how you set it up: 1. Download the zip file attached to this post, and unzip it into the folder containing your Azure project (not your solution folder). 2. Edit your csdef and cscfg files to include the placeholder project ServiceDefinition.csdef<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <ServiceDefinition name="AzureSpendNotifier" http://schemas.microsoft.com/ServiceHosting/2008/10/ServiceDefinition%22"http://schemas.microsoft.com/ServiceHosting/2008/10/ServiceDefinition"> <WorkerRole name="GLOBAL"> <ConfigurationSettings> <Setting name="ExampleSetting" /> </ConfigurationSettings> </WorkerRole> <WorkerRole name="MyWorker"> <ConfigurationSettings> </ConfigurationSettings> </WorkerRole> <WebRole name="MyWeb"> <Sites> <Site name="Web"> <Bindings> <Binding name="WebEndpoint" endpointName="WebEndpoint" /> </Bindings> </Site> </Sites> <ConfigurationSettings> </ConfigurationSettings> </WebRole> </ServiceDefinition> ServiceConfiguration.cscfg<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <ServiceConfiguration serviceName="AzureSpendNotifier" xmlns=http://schemas.microsoft.com/ServiceHosting/2008/10/ServiceConfiguration osFamily="1" osVersion="*"> <Role name="GLOBAL"> <ConfigurationSettings> <Setting name="ExampleSetting" value="Hello World" /> </ConfigurationSettings> <Instances count="1" /> </Role> <Role name="MyWorker"> <Instances count="1" /> <ConfigurationSettings> </ConfigurationSettings> </Role> <Role name="MyWeb"> <Instances count="1" /> <ConfigurationSettings> </ConfigurationSettings> </Role> </ServiceConfiguration> It is important that all your roles contain a ConfigurationSettings entry in both cscfg and csdef files, even if it's empty- otherwise the shared configuration settings will not be inserted. 3. Open your azure deployment (.ccproj) project in notepad, and add the highlighted line below: ... <Import Project="$(CloudExtensionsDir)Microsoft.CloudService.targets" /> <Import Project="globalsettings/globalsettings.targets" /> </Project> It is important you add this below the Microsoft.CloudService.targets import line, as it replaces some of the rules defined in that file. Visual studio will prompt you to reload the project, say yes. At this point you will have a new Azure role called 'GLOBAL' with settings you can edit through the visual studio properties panel as normal. This role will never be deployed, but any settings you add to it will be copied to all your other roles when deployed or tested locally within visual studio.

  • Class design issue

    - by user2865206
    I'm new to OOP and a lot of times I become stumped in situations similar to this example: Task: Generate an XML document that contains information about a person. Assume the information is readily available in a database. Here is an example of the structure: <Person> <Name>John Doe</Name> <Age>21</Age> <Address> <Street>100 Main St.</Street> <City>Sylvania</City> <State>OH</State> </Address> <Relatives> <Parents> <Mother> <Name>Jane Doe</Name> </Mother> <Father> <Name>John Doe Sr.</Name> </Father> </Parents> <Siblings> <Brother> <Name>Jeff Doe</Name> </Brother> <Brother> <Name>Steven Doe</Name> </Brother> </Siblings> </Relatives> </Person> Ok lets create a class for each tag (ie: Person, Name, Age, Address) Lets assume each class is only responsible for itself and the elements directly contained Each class will know (have defined by default) the classes that are directly contained within them Each class will have a process() function that will add itself and its childeren to the XML document we are creating When a child is drawn, as in the previous line, we will have them call process() as well Now we are in a recursive loop where each object draws their childeren until all are drawn But what if only some of the tags need to be drawn, and the rest are optional? Some are optional based on if the data exists (if we have it, we must draw it), and some are optional based on the preferences of the user generating the document How do we make sure each object has the data it needs to draw itself and it's childeren? We can pass down a massive array through every object, but that seems shitty doesnt it? We could have each object query the database for it, but thats a lot of queries, and how does it know what it's query is? What if we want to get rid of a tag later? There is no way to reference them. I've been thinking about this for 20 hours now. I feel like I am misunderstanding a design principle or am just approaching this all wrong. How would you go about programming something like this? I suppose this problem could apply to any senario where there are classes that create other classes, but the classes created need information to run. How do I get the information to them in a way that doesn't seem fucky? Thanks for all of your time, this has been kicking my ass.

  • Native ComboBox not displaying choices correctly

    - by anothershrubery
    EDIT: It seems that ListPicker is the way to go but I have had further problems with that detailed Microsoft.Phone.Controls.Toolkit ListPicker throws XamlParseException I have the following ComboBox in code: <ComboBox x:Name="Result" Grid.Column="6" HorizontalAlignment="Center" VerticalAlignment="Center" Foreground="Black" Background="White"> <ComboBoxItem Content="Win" /> <ComboBoxItem Content="Place" /> <ComboBoxItem Content="Lose" /> </ComboBox> But it does not display as I would have expected. When you drop down the ComboBox the options don't appear, it's just like empty items. See below: However, when an item is selected, it displays correctly and the correct index/item is returned. See below: I'm sure there is something simple I have missed but can't put my finger on it. EDIT: Ok I am posting the full code for this. I have a user control, OddsRow, that looks like this: <UserControl xmlns:toolkit="clr-namespace:Microsoft.Phone.Controls;assembly=Microsoft.Phone.Controls.Toolkit" x:Class="MojoPinBetOddsCalculator.OddsRow" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" xmlns:d="http://schemas.microsoft.com/expression/blend/2008" xmlns:mc="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/markup-compatibility/2006" mc:Ignorable="d" FontFamily="{StaticResource PhoneFontFamilyNormal}" FontSize="{StaticResource PhoneFontSizeNormal}" Foreground="{StaticResource PhoneForegroundBrush}" d:DesignHeight="480" d:DesignWidth="480"> <Grid x:Name="LayoutRoot" Background="{StaticResource PhoneChromeBrush}"> <Grid.RowDefinitions> <RowDefinition Height="70"/> </Grid.RowDefinitions> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition Width="50*"></ColumnDefinition> <ColumnDefinition Width="70*"></ColumnDefinition> <ColumnDefinition Width="30*"></ColumnDefinition> <ColumnDefinition Width="70*"></ColumnDefinition> <ColumnDefinition Width="70*"></ColumnDefinition> <ColumnDefinition Width="70*" ></ColumnDefinition> <ColumnDefinition Width="100*"></ColumnDefinition> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <TextBlock x:Name="RowNumber" Grid.Column="0" VerticalAlignment="Center" HorizontalAlignment="Center"></TextBlock> <TextBox x:Name="OddsNumerator" Grid.Column="1" Width="90" Height="70" HorizontalAlignment="Center" TextAlignment="Center" VerticalAlignment="Center" MaxLength="3" InputScope="TelephoneNumber"></TextBox> <TextBlock x:Name="Slash" Grid.Column="2" Text="/" HorizontalAlignment="Center" VerticalAlignment="Center"></TextBlock> <TextBox x:Name="OddsDenominator" Grid.Column="3" Width="90" Height="70" VerticalAlignment="Center" TextAlignment="Center" MaxLength="3" HorizontalAlignment="Center" InputScope="TelephoneNumber"></TextBox> <CheckBox x:Name="EachWay" Grid.Column="4" VerticalAlignment="Center" HorizontalAlignment="Center" Margin="10,0,0,0" /> <CheckBox x:Name="Place" Grid.Column="5" HorizontalAlignment="Center" VerticalAlignment="Center" BorderThickness="0" Width="71" Margin="10,0,0,0" Padding="0" /> <ComboBox x:Name="Result" Grid.Column="6" HorizontalAlignment="Center" VerticalAlignment="Center" Foreground="Black" Background="White"> <ComboBoxItem Content="Win" /> <ComboBoxItem Content="Place" /> <ComboBoxItem Content="Lose" /> </ComboBox> </Grid> </UserControl> And it is displayed in the MainPage like so: <phone:PhoneApplicationPage xmlns:my="clr-namespace:MojoPinBetOddsCalculator" x:Class="MojoPinBetOddsCalculator.MainPage" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" xmlns:phone="clr-namespace:Microsoft.Phone.Controls;assembly=Microsoft.Phone" xmlns:shell="clr-namespace:Microsoft.Phone.Shell;assembly=Microsoft.Phone" xmlns:d="http://schemas.microsoft.com/expression/blend/2008" xmlns:mc="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/markup-compatibility/2006" mc:Ignorable="d" d:DesignWidth="480" d:DesignHeight="768" FontFamily="{StaticResource PhoneFontFamilyNormal}" FontSize="{StaticResource PhoneFontSizeNormal}" Foreground="{StaticResource PhoneForegroundBrush}" SupportedOrientations="Portrait" Orientation="Portrait" shell:SystemTray.IsVisible="True"> <!--LayoutRoot is the root grid where all page content is placed--> <Grid x:Name="LayoutRoot" Background="Transparent"> <Grid.RowDefinitions> <RowDefinition Height="Auto"/> <RowDefinition Height="*"/> </Grid.RowDefinitions> <!--TitlePanel contains the name of the application and page title--> <StackPanel x:Name="TitlePanel" Grid.Row="0" Margin="12,17,0,28"> <TextBlock x:Name="ApplicationTitle" Text="BET ODDS CALCULATOR" Style="{StaticResource PhoneTextNormalStyle}"/> <TextBlock x:Name="PageTitle" Text="calculate" Margin="9,-7,0,0" Style="{StaticResource PhoneTextTitle1Style}"/> </StackPanel> <!--ContentPanel - When combined it doesn't display the items. Please help and tell how I can rectify it... $count = substr_count($row4['ACTION_STATEMENT'], " IF (NEW.");/*here i will get how many time i will get " IF (NEW." in my string.*/ $exp1 = explode("(NEW.",$row4['ACTION_STATEMENT']);/*I exploded it from "NEW."*/ /*echo "<pre>"; print_r($exp1);*/ for($i=1;$i<count($exp1);$i++)/*Loop for values in $exp1*/ { //echo $exp1[$i]; $exp2[] = explode(" !=",$exp1[$i]);/*exploded by " !="*/ }//print_r($exp2); $flag = true; if($flag == true) { $column = mysqli_query($link,"SELECT * FROM COLUMNS WHERE TABLE_SCHEMA = '".$row3['TABLE_SCHEMA']."' and TABLE_NAME = '".$row3['TABLE_NAME']."'"); /*This query will give me 21 values*/ while ($row5 = mysqli_fetch_array($column)) {/*echo "<pre>pd"; print_r($row5);*/ foreach($exp2 as $fieldsarr)/*loop used for further comaprison of $exp2 with above query values*/ { echo "<br>"; //print_r($fieldsarr); if($fieldsarr[0] == $row5['COLUMN_NAME'] )/*Comparison of values*/ { if($fieldsarr[0]!='id') {//echo $fieldsarr[0]; mysqli_select_db($link,'pranav_test'); $aud = mysqli_query($link,"SELECT * FROM `jos_menuaudit`") or die("DEAD".mysqli_error()); while($audit = mysqli_fetch_array($aud)) { echo "<pre>"; echo $fieldsarr[0].$row5['COLUMN_NAME']; print_r($audit); /*Values displayed according to query written above after true comparsion of conditions*/ } } } } mysqli_select_db($link,'information_schema'); } } Now from above code The output I am getting is namenameArray ( [0] => 1 [id] => 1 [1] => 0 [menuid] => 0 [2] => name [field] => name [3] => test_PSD_111 [oldvalue] => test_PSD_111 [4] => test_SPD_111 [newvalue] => test_SPD_111 [5] => 2010-03-24 11:42:26 [changedone] => 2010-03-24 11:42:26 ) namenameArray ( [0] => 2 [id] => 2 [1] => 0 [menuid] => 0 [2] => name [field] => name [3] => test_SPD_111 [oldvalue] => test_SPD_111 [4] => test_SD_111 [newvalue] => test_SD_111 [5] => 2010-03-24 11:44:22 [changedone] => 2010-03-24 11:44:22 ) namenameArray ( [0] => 3 [id] => 3 [1] => 0 [menuid] => 0 [2] => name [field] => name [3] => test_SD_111 [oldvalue] => test_SD_111 [4] => test_PSD_111 [newvalue] => test_PSD_111 [5] => 2010-03-24 11:46:28 [changedone] => 2010-03-24 11:46:28 ) namenameArray ( [0] => 4 [id] => 4 [1] => 0 [menuid] => 0 [2] => name [field] => name [3] => test_PSD_111 [oldvalue] => test_PSD_111 [4] => test_PD_111 [newvalue] => test_PD_111 [5] => 2010-03-24 11:47:30 [changedone] => 2010-03-24 11:47:30 ) namenameArray ( [0] => 5 [id] => 5 [1] => 0 [menuid] => 0 [2] => name [field] => name [3] => test_PD_111 [oldvalue] => test_PD_111 [4] => test_P_111 [newvalue] => test_P_111 [5] => 2010-03-24 11:49:25 [changedone] => 2010-03-24 11:49:25 ) aliasaliasArray ( [0] => 1 [id] => 1 [1] => 0 [menuid] => 0 [2] => name [field] => name [3] => test_PSD_111 [oldvalue] => test_PSD_111 [4] => test_SPD_111 [newvalue] => test_SPD_111 [5] => 2010-03-24 11:42:26 [changedone] => 2010-03-24 11:42:26 ) aliasaliasArray ( [0] => 2 [id] => 2 [1] => 0 [menuid] => 0 [2] => name [field] => name [3] => test_SPD_111 [oldvalue] => test_SPD_111 [4] => test_SD_111 [newvalue] => test_SD_111 [5] => 2010-03-24 11:44:22 [changedone] => 2010-03-24 11:44:22 ) aliasaliasArray ( [0] => 3 [id] => 3 [1] => 0 [menuid] => 0 [2] => name [field] => name [3] => test_SD_111 [oldvalue] => test_SD_111 [4] => test_PSD_111 [newvalue] => test_PSD_111 [5] => 2010-03-24 11:46:28 [changedone] => 2010-03-24 11:46:28 ) aliasaliasArray ( [0] => 4 [id] => 4 [1] => 0 [menuid] => 0 [2] => name [field] => name [3] => test_PSD_111 [oldvalue] => test_PSD_111 [4] => test_PD_111 [newvalue] => test_PD_111 [5] => 2010-03-24 11:47:30 [changedone] => 2010-03-24 11:47:30 ) aliasaliasArray ( [0] => 5 [id] => 5 [1] => 0 [menuid] => 0 [2] => name [field] => name [3] => test_PD_111 [oldvalue] => test_PD_111 [4] => test_P_111 [newvalue] => test_P_111 [5] => 2010-03-24 11:49:25 [changedone] => 2010-03-24 11:49:25 ) thatis, all the five values from query are displayed on every single comaprison getting true.   • Suds array of arrays not nesting

    - by joshcartme
    Let me preface this by saying that I am still pretty new to SOAP and how things should work. I'm working with the Vertical Response API. I'm having trouble getting suds to construct the xml correctly for a request. Here is some code: from suds.client import Client url = 'https://api.verticalresponse.com/wsdl/1.0/VRAPI.wsdl' client = Client(url) vr = client.service ... test_list = ( ( { 'name' : 'email_address', 'value' : login['username'], }, { 'name' : 'First_Name', 'value' : 'VR_User', } ), ( { 'name' : 'email_address', 'value' : '[email protected]', }, { 'name' : 'First_Name', 'value' : login['username'], }, ), ) # sid and cid are correctly retrieved prior to this point print "Sending test message..." vr.sendEmailCampaignTest({ 'session_id' : sid, 'campaign_id' : cid, 'recipients' : test_list, }) In this context login['username'] is just an email address. That code raises this error: suds.WebFault: Server raised fault: 'Application failed during request deserialization: Too many elements in array. 4 instead of claimed 2 (2) Here is the the definition of sendEmailCampaignTest: http://developers.verticalresponse.com/api/soap/methods/campaigns/sendemailcampaigntest/ Here is the xml that logging outputs (I removed the session_id and list_id for display here): DEBUG:suds.client:headers = {'SOAPAction': u'"VR/API/1_0#sendEmailCampaignTest"', 'Content-Type': 'text/xml; charset=utf-8'} ERROR:suds.client:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:ns3="http://api.verticalresponse.com/1.0/VRAPI.xsd" xmlns:SOAP-ENC="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:ns0="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:ns1="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:ns2="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:ns4="VR/API/1_0" xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP-ENV:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"> <SOAP-ENV:Header/> <ns0:Body> <ns4:sendEmailCampaignTest> <args xsi:type="ns3:sendEmailCampaignTestArgs"> <session_id xsi:type="ns1:string">redacted</session_id> <campaign_id xsi:type="ns1:int">redacted</campaign_id> <recipients xsi:type="ns3:ArrayOfNVDictionary" ns2:arrayType="ns3:NVDictionary[2]"> <item> <name xsi:type="ns1:string">email_address</name> <value xsi:type="ns1:string">[email protected]</value> </item> <item> <name xsi:type="ns1:string">First_Name</name> <value xsi:type="ns1:string">VR_User</value> </item> <item> <name xsi:type="ns1:string">email_address</name> <value xsi:type="ns1:string">[email protected]</value> </item> <item> <name xsi:type="ns1:string">First_Name</name> <value xsi:type="ns1:string">[email protected]</value> </item> </recipients> </args> </ns4:sendEmailCampaignTest> </ns0:Body> </SOAP-ENV:Envelope> DEBUG:suds.client:http failed: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:SOAP-ENC="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" SOAP-ENV:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"><SOAP-ENV:Body><SOAP-ENV:Fault><faultcode>SOAP-ENV:Client</faultcode><faultstring>Application failed during request deserialization: Too many elements in array. 4 instead of claimed 2 (2) </faultstring></SOAP-ENV:Fault></SOAP-ENV:Body></SOAP-ENV:Envelope> a ruby script (provided by Vertical Response) that does the same things as the script I am working on in python outputs the following xml (I removed the session_id and list_id): <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <env:Envelope xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <env:Body> <n1:sendEmailCampaignTest xmlns:n1="VR/API/1_0" env:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"> <args xmlns:n2="http://api.verticalresponse.com/1.0/VRAPI.xsd" xsi:type="n2:sendEmailCampaignTestArgs"> <session_id xsi:type="xsd:string">redacted</session_id> <campaign_id xsi:type="xsd:int">redacted</campaign_id> <recipients xmlns:n3="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xsi:type="n3:Array" n3:arrayType="n2:NVDictionary[2]"> <item xsi:type="n3:Array" n3:arrayType="n2:NVPair[2]"> <item> <name xsi:type="xsd:string">email_address</name> <value href="#id9496430"></value> </item> <item> <name xsi:type="xsd:string">First_Name</name> <value xsi:type="xsd:string">VR_User</value> </item> </item> <item xsi:type="n3:Array" n3:arrayType="n2:NVPair[2]"> <item> <name xsi:type="xsd:string">email_address</name> <value xsi:type="xsd:string">[email protected]</value> </item> <item> <name xsi:type="xsd:string">First_Name</name> <value href="#id9496430"></value> </item> </item> </recipients> </args> </n1:sendEmailCampaignTest> <value id="id9496430" xsi:type="xsd:string" env:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/">[email protected]</value> </env:Body> </env:Envelope> I understand that the error is in the construction of recipients. It should contain two items, each that contain two items but my python script using suds is setting it up to contain four unnested items. So my question is how can I get suds to correctly construct the xml?

  • Metro: Introduction to the WinJS ListView Control

    - by Stephen.Walther
    The goal of this blog entry is to provide a quick introduction to the ListView control – just the bare minimum that you need to know to start using the control. When building Metro style applications using JavaScript, the ListView control is the primary control that you use for displaying lists of items. For example, if you are building a product catalog app, then you can use the ListView control to display the list of products. The ListView control supports several advanced features that I plan to discuss in future blog entries. For example, you can group the items in a ListView, you can create master/details views with a ListView, and you can efficiently work with large sets of items with a ListView. In this blog entry, we’ll keep things simple and focus on displaying a list of products. There are three things that you need to do in order to display a list of items with a ListView: Create a data source Create an Item Template Declare the ListView Creating the ListView Data Source The first step is to create (or retrieve) the data that you want to display with the ListView. In most scenarios, you will want to bind a ListView to a WinJS.Binding.List object. The nice thing about the WinJS.Binding.List object is that it enables you to take a standard JavaScript array and convert the array into something that can be bound to the ListView. It doesn’t matter where the JavaScript array comes from. It could be a static array that you declare or you could retrieve the array as the result of an Ajax call to a remote server. The following JavaScript file – named products.js – contains a list of products which can be bound to a ListView. (function () { "use strict"; var products = new WinJS.Binding.List([ { name: "Milk", price: 2.44 }, { name: "Oranges", price: 1.99 }, { name: "Wine", price: 8.55 }, { name: "Apples", price: 2.44 }, { name: "Steak", price: 1.99 }, { name: "Eggs", price: 2.44 }, { name: "Mushrooms", price: 1.99 }, { name: "Yogurt", price: 2.44 }, { name: "Soup", price: 1.99 }, { name: "Cereal", price: 2.44 }, { name: "Pepsi", price: 1.99 } ]); WinJS.Namespace.define("ListViewDemos", { products: products }); })(); The products variable represents a WinJS.Binding.List object. This object is initialized with a plain-old JavaScript array which represents an array of products. To avoid polluting the global namespace, the code above uses the module pattern and exposes the products using a namespace. The list of products is exposed to the world as ListViewDemos.products. To learn more about the module pattern and namespaces in WinJS, see my earlier blog entry: http://stephenwalther.com/blog/archive/2012/02/22/metro-namespaces-and-modules.aspx Creating the ListView Item Template The ListView control does not know how to render anything. It doesn’t know how you want each list item to appear. To get the ListView control to render something useful, you must create an Item Template. Here’s what our template for rendering an individual product looks like: <div id="productTemplate" data-win-control="WinJS.Binding.Template"> <div class="product"> <span data-win-bind="innerText:name"></span> <span data-win-bind="innerText:price"></span> </div> </div> This template displays the product name and price from the data source. Normally, you will declare your template in the same file as you declare the ListView control. In our case, both the template and ListView are declared in the default.html file. To learn more about templates, see my earlier blog entry: http://stephenwalther.com/blog/archive/2012/02/27/metro-using-templates.aspx Declaring the ListView The final step is to declare the ListView control in a page. Here’s the markup for declaring a ListView: <div data-win-control="WinJS.UI.ListView" data-win-options="{ itemDataSource:ListViewDemos.products.dataSource, itemTemplate:select('#productTemplate') }"> </div> You declare a ListView by adding the data-win-control to an HTML DIV tag. The data-win-options attribute is used to set two properties of the ListView. The ListView is associated with its data source with the itemDataSource property. Notice that the data source is ListViewDemos.products.dataSource and not just ListViewDemos.products. You need to associate the ListView with the dataSoure property. The ListView is associated with its item template with the help of the itemTemplate property. The ID of the item template — #productTemplate – is used to select the template from the page. Here’s what the complete version of the default.html page looks like: <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <meta charset="utf-8"> <title>ListViewDemos</title> <!-- WinJS references --> <link href="//Microsoft.WinJS.0.6/css/ui-dark.css" rel="stylesheet"> <script src="//Microsoft.WinJS.0.6/js/base.js"></script> <script src="//Microsoft.WinJS.0.6/js/ui.js"></script> <!-- ListViewDemos references --> <link href="/css/default.css" rel="stylesheet"> <script src="/js/default.js"></script> <script src="/js/products.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <style type="text/css"> .product { width: 200px; height: 100px; border: white solid 1px; } </style> </head> <body> <div id="productTemplate" data-win-control="WinJS.Binding.Template"> <div class="product"> <span data-win-bind="innerText:name"></span> <span data-win-bind="innerText:price"></span> </div> </div> <div data-win-control="WinJS.UI.ListView" data-win-options="{ itemDataSource:ListViewDemos.products.dataSource, itemTemplate:select('#productTemplate') }"> </div> </body> </html> Notice that the page above includes a reference to the products.js file: <script src=”/js/products.js” type=”text/javascript”></script> The page above also contains a Template control which contains the ListView item template. Finally, the page includes the declaration of the ListView control. Summary The goal of this blog entry was to describe the minimal set of steps which you must complete to use the WinJS ListView control to display a simple list of items. You learned how to create a data source, declare an item template, and declare a ListView control.
