  • DOM Elements with same id and jQuery

    Hi I have multiple elements with the same structure in my application. Second div element's id varies as per the comment id in the db which is unique. There are elements with the id 'vote_up' and 'vote_down'. This gets repeated for each comment.What happens is that, as I mentioned, there are multiple comments. I want to perform an Ajax request. First of this structure functions properly using ajax, but the rest does an http request.   • Jquery Modal Dialog disables form elements

    Hi, When I set my jQuery dialog to model=true, it disables my form elements inside the dialog and I cannot use them, only the buttons. I have seen examples where the contents of the dialog is declared in the dialog initiation script and then injected. but that is just to bulky for me, I want to be able to create my markup inside the DIV which I turn into a dialog. Anyone got a solution for me?

  • Can Box Layout accept size of included elements?

    I used myPanel.setLayout(new BoxLayout(myPanel, BoxLayout.Y_AXIS)); to order panels vertically (one under another one). But myPanel defined in the shown way change the included panel. In more details, it tries to set the same hight and width for the included panels. Can it be changed? Can BoxLayout adopt size of the included elements?

I want to parse XML so I can store the Series data in one table, and all the Episode data in another table. Would the code look something like this?: $.ajax({ type: "POST", data: { title: 'oembed.title', thumbnail_url: 'oembed.thumbnail_url'} }); Is there anything I'm missing? Assume that oembed.title and oembed.thubnail_url hold the values I want to save, and that title and thumbnail are the database columns.

    After using the IE8 built in Developers Tools for the first time, I noticed jQuery is attaching an attribute to some of my elements: I've never noticed this before. In fact, this doesn't show up in Firebug... I'm only seeing it for the first time now in IE8 Developer Tools. Does anyone know what jQuery uses this for, and why it's hidden in firebug?

    This seems like it should be fairly easy - but I can't find the right selector for it According to the docs (http://api.jquery.com/hidden-selector/ and http://api.jquery.com/visible-selector/)... Elements can be considered hidden for several reasons: An ancestor element is hidden, so the element is not shown on the page. What I want to detect is "this element is visible, but is contained in a hidden parent". Ie, if I made the parent visible, this element would also be visible.
