• Weird behaviour of a deserialized class

  I've got a huge XML file that's being deserialized by XmlSerializer in an XSD-generated class structure. Everything used to work just fine, but now a weird thing started happening. Sometimes (50% of runs) a field of a certain object of a class that's deep in the class tree just changes to a certain value of the same field of a different object of the same class. It happens when entering some function, when debugger steps from opening "{" to the first line of code. I understand that it's stupid question, but maybe someone have any thoughts?

• Fluent Nhibernate Mapping Single class on two database tables

  Hi guys, I am having problems with Mapping. I have two tables in my database as follows: Employee and EmployeeManagers Employee EmployeeId int Name nvarchar EmployeeManagers EmployeeIdFk int ManagerIdFk int So the employee can have 0 or more Managers. A manager itself is also an Employee. I have the following class to represent the Employee and Managers public class Employee { public virtual int Id { get; set; } public virtual string Name { get; set; } public virtual IList<Employee> Managers { get; protected set; } public Employee() { Managers = new List<Employee>(); } } I don't have any class to represent Manager because I think there is no need for it, as Manager itself is an Employee. I am using autoMapping and I just can't figure out how to map this class to these two tables. I am implementing IAutoMappingOverride for overriding automappings for Employee but I am not sure what to do in it. public class NodeMap : IAutoMappingOverride { public void Override(AutoMapping<Node> mapping) { //mapping.HasMany(x => x.ValidParents).Cascade.All().Table("EmployeeManager"); //mapping.HasManyToMany(x => x.ValidParents).Cascade.All().Table("EmployeeManager"); } } I also want to make sure that an employee can not be assigned the same manager twice. This is something I can verify in my application but I would like to put constraint on the EmployeeManager table (e.g. a composite key) so a same manager can not be assigned to an employee more than once.   Hi, I'm trying to run a .jar file with the command "java -jar Filename.jar", but I am always getting an error saying "Could not find the main class: bla.bla.yada". I build the whole application with Maven and specified a Main-Class in the MANIFEST.MF. The path in the file is correct and the class also exists at the right location in the jar. The ending .class is omitted in the MANIFEST.MF. I hope this is correct. Do you have any other hints?

Need to exclude this type from referenced types. Now I tried unchecking reuse reference types and I was able to get my project to compile. but when sending a collection from the client it was never received or couldn't be deserialized on the server end. I really need this to work. Any help would be appreciated, the fullsource code is provided by google code.

Class Bnew: aParameter |instance| instance := super new. instance b: instance a + aParameter. ^instance Binitialize b:=0. The problem says what happen when the following code is executed: B new:10.   I have created a small application but I would now like to incorporate some type of logging that can be viewed via listbox. The source of the data can be sent from any number of places. I have created a new logging class that will pass in a delegate. I think Im close to a solution but Im receiving a NullReferenceException and I don’t know the proper solution.   This question, asked this morning, made me wonder which features you think are missing from the C++ Standard Library, and how you have gone about filling the gaps with wrapper functions. For example, my own utility library has this function for vector append: template <class T> std::vector<T> & operator += ( std::vector<T> & v1, const std::vector <T> v2 ) { v1.insert( v1.end(), v2.begin(), v2.end() ); return v1; } and this one for clearing (more or less) any type - particularly useful for things like std::stack: template <class C> void Clear( C & c ) { c = C(); } I have a few more, but I'm interested in which ones you use? Please limit answers to wrapper functions - i.e. no more than a couple of lines of code.

  Hey guys, lately I was studying a bit of Java, when I was taught about a way to implement a controller class, whose resposibility is to redirect the request to an Action, which perfoms a specified work. What I couldn't figure out is, which class does get request first and translate it to the specified action (page handler)? Is it a WebForms feature(implementation) or its a IIS resposibility? So, which class represent the main controller for WebForms? Thank you very much.

• Start thread with two parameters

  I've got a method that gets called on an event, which presents me with two variables varA, varB (both strings). This method gets called with new information quite frequently, thus I have created a separate method that takes in the two parameters. I want to run this method in a thread, however have struck the issue that Thread.Start will not accept parameters. I've tried a few supposed methods, but have so far had no luck.. I think my best bet is to create a separate class, and handle it there.. However I have a List which I am inserting data into, and hit a dead end when the separate class tried to access that list, since it was in a different class. Can someone help me out here please?

• Conditional "Get Script File" in Javascript without using a library function

  I work at a company that has many clients that have their own website that "plugs in" to our system. In other words they have their own website and they have a link that, when the user clicks it, transitions them over to our site. There is a feature that I want to track by giving the client a small block of code to put on their homepage. Whenever the homepage is loaded with a certain query string variable I want the block of code to request a file on my server. Then on the server I'll record the tracking info based on the query string. All this would be really easy if I can guarantee that the client would be using jQuery or some similar library, but there are a lot of clients and I can't really rely on them all using jQuery. At the same time I'd like to limit the size of the block of javascript code that they paste in. I think the best solution would be to have something like: if(querystring.substring("Tracking=") > 0) { include("blah.aspx?TrackingQS=" + querystring); } but I can't find a include function in built-in javascript without calling some library like jQuery. Any thoughts?? I could do straight up AJAX but I want to limit the number of lines of code for several reasons that I won't bore you with here.

• RMI java doesn't create skeleton class

  I wrote a remote service MyremoteImpl.java and used following command after compiled it. rmic MyRemoteImpl I learned that this method suppose to create stub class and a skeleton class but I can only see the stub class, why is that?
