  • VS 2010 / Resharper 5 Mouse Behavior

    After upgrading to the above configuration I notice that 1) CTRL-Click on a type highlights the type but doesn't take me to the declaration, 2) Clicking on some closure (ie, like a method) toggles whether it's expanded or collapsed. Since these are both mouse related tasks I figure there is some setting in either VS or R# that I need to change, but I sure can't figure out what it is. Anybody know? Cheers, Berryl PS - there is an option in R# to ctrl-click to the type but I have that checked and it still does not work.

    My table structure looks like this: create table rankings ( id IDENTITY NOT NULL, user_id INT NOT NULL, game_poule_id INT NOT NULL, rank INT NOT NULL, insertDate DATETIME NOT NULL, FOREIGN KEY (user_id) REFERENCES users(id) ON DELETE CASCADE, FOREIGN KEY (game_poule_id) REFERENCES game_poules(id) ON DELETE CASCADE ); All old rankings of users per game are saved in this table. Now I want to have the last but one rank in the table for all users in a gamepoule. Has someone an idea how to achive this? Thanks

  • Creating JMS Queues at runtime.

    I am working on an application where the app user can create / delete queues . Also , he would be able to move a message from 1 queue to another, delete a message , rearrange the messages in the queue based on some filter. One possible design is to use activemq for queues and apache camel for various other operations having integrated with Grails. But I am not sure whether ActiveMQ allows creation /deleltion queues at runtime. Would this be a good choice to implement such system?

    The iPhone Mail application has an edit button in the navigation bar. Tapping that button shows a delete button in the toolbar and shows checkbox controls in the table cells. Tapping one or more checkboxes then tapping the delete button causes the checked messages to be deleted. How can I add similar functionality to my own code? One of the pre-requisite is obviously to color the current tab differently, so the user can know on which tab is currently is.   • Changing the title of jQuery-UI dialog-box with in another dialog-box's function...

    Why doesn't doesn't the second jQuery-UI dialog box title change when popped. The first dialog box I change the title of the box with using the following .attr("title", "Confirm") -- it change the title of the first box to 'Confirm', like it should have. Now when the second box pops up it should change the title to 'Message' since did the same thing for the second box -- .attr("title", "Message"). Right? But it doesnt. It keep the title from before.     I try to draw a class diagram using Vim. I fill the editor window with white-spaces. Type :match SpellBad /\s/ to highlight all the white-spaces. Ctrl+Q to select vertical white-spaces. Ctrl+I to insert Bar(|) and then Esc ........................... v+l +... + l to select horizontal white-spaces But I don't know how to change all selected horizontal white-spaces to underscore(_). I have to hit _ serval times.   • In Opera 11, how can I set up shortcuts to switch to specific tabs?

    In Firefox on Linux, we can use Alt+1, Alt+2, etc. to switch to the first, second, etc. tabs, till the 9th tab. This is very useful to switch between tabs. In Opera 11 on Linux, I couldn't find a way to do this: the only way to switch among tabs seems to be to use Ctrl+Tab and then cycle till we reach the tab that we want. Needless to say, this "linear access" method is slower (and more annoying) than the random access available in FF. So my question is: How can I set up shortcuts in Opera 11 on Linux so that I can switch to one of the first nine tabs using a numbered shortcut?

  • POST Ajax call results in not found using jqGrid and ASP.NET MVC 2 on IIS6

    This is puzzling me. I deployed an MVC 2 application to IIS6 and everything works fine except for my jqGrid calls to get data. All is well on my development machine, but here are the two URLs I'm working with Local dev web server: POST http://localhost:port/Ctrl.mvc/JsonMethod IIS6 (notice https - not sure if that matters) POST https://www.domain.com/AppName/Ctrl.mvc/JsonMethod The latter URL results in a HTTP 404, which is really confusing as all works well on my local machine. The JsonMethod is properly declared with [AcceptVerbs(HttpVerbs.Post)] Let me know if any more info is needed - I appreciate any and all help with this!

  • Moving windows using keyboard...faster?

    I like using keyboard shortcuts because it's faster as it does not force me to move my hands off the keyboard. In Windows I can use them to move windows around desktop: Press Alt+Space to open common windows menu Press M to choose "Move" command Navigate window position by cursor keys Confirm new position with Enter Additionally, to achieve better accuracy, I can hold Ctrl while navigating. Now the problem is that the normal "step" when moving is about 20px, and my desktop is quite large, so "walking" all the way across takes quite a long time. This kind of defeats the purpose of using keyboard for these tasks. Is it possible to change size of this step so that takes less steps to walk the same distance? (I imagine a hidden setting in Windows registry...?) I tried holding Alt while navigating, but it does not seem to have influence on speed.

  • Map keys in Vim

    I want to map e to mean end of line. I tried the following mapping in my vimrc: map $ e $ is the default end of line command. However, this doesn't work. I'm wondering what the problem is. Also, I want to map Alt+right/left arrow to navigate words. So, for example, Alt+right arrow would take me to end of word. This command is currently mapped to e.     Dear all, I've a list of float numbers and I would like to delete incrementally a set of elements in a given range of indexes, sth. like: for j in range(beginIndex, endIndex+1): print ("remove [%d] => val: %g" % (j, myList[j])) del myList[j] However, since I'm iterating over the same list, the indexes (range) are not valid any more for the new list. The lesson-learned: Delete any projects that can trigger a release on the live application from CCTray. I only add them when a release to production is necessary since then. And once I am done, I delete them from my project lists.

  • setting syntax on in vim with large C file makes complete very slow

    when I have syntax on in a large C file (about 8000) lines the completion ctrl-p and ctrl-n are very slow (more than 20). When I turn syntax off then completion takes less than a second. Any ideas on how to solve this? Thanks! EDIT: I figured out a minimal way of reproducing this behaviour: with an empty .vimrc and .vim folder the only changed settings are :set syntax on :set foldmethod=syntax and a large C file to edit, completion (and even general editing) becomes very very slow.

  • In Visual Studio 2008, how can I make control+click do a "Go To Definition"?

    I know this is not strictly about programming, but it's pretty close. Anyway, in Delphi, you can hold control and click on a method to jump to its definition. In VS2008, you have to right-click and select "Go To Definition". I use this function quite often, so I'd really like to get VS to behave like delphi in this regard - its so much quicker to ctrl+click. I don't think there's a way to get this working in base VS2008 - am I wrong? Or maybe there's a plugin I could use? Edit: Click then F12 does work - but isn't really a good solution for me.. It's still way slower than ctrl+click. I might try AutoHotkey, since I'm already running it for something else. Edit: AutoHotkey worked for me. Here's my script (I'm a complete n00b, so it's probably suboptimal): SetTitleMatchMode RegEx #IfWinActive, .* - Microsoft Visual Studio ^LButton::Send {click}{f12}
