Hey
Does anyone know of a good open source client document management system?
Possibly using Joomla or Wordpress?
I need to be able to allow different clients to log into the website to download their documents and upload their documents?
Any ideas?
Hello,
I am planning to launch a free webmail service at mail(dot)com(dot)es where users can signup and have their free webmail account (for example like www.email.gr). I am looking for a free or low cost webmail system script to install on my website. Do you know any free or low cost scripts which would be suitable for this?
Thanks
Is there a way to override / disable a system preference pane? I'm wanting to put an application together that would disable or override the Energy Saver preference pane, and would put it's own rules in place for putting a machine into standby, turning off the monitor, or other various energy saving activities.
Hello,
I am trying to fetch data using linQ as shown below.
dim rerun as datetime
Dim q = (From a In dashboard Where a.SucessFlag = 0 And a.ApplicationID = 1 _
Select a.logDate)
rerunDate = q
I am getting this system.LinQ.Iqueryable(of date) cannot be converted to date
Any workaround will be greatly appreciated.
Is there any cost/drawback (apart from typing too much) to adorning a class with System.Runtime.Serialization attributes (like [DataContract]) such that it can be used locally as a direct reference to a desktop Client project or as a type for a WCF service? The goal here is to write a data-tier class that can be used in both rich client (WPF) and Web scenarios. My data classes will be in a project that is separate from Client and WCF (*.svc code-behind) code. Is this a valid attempt to reuse code?
I am looking for an encrypted version control system . Basically I would like to
-have all files encrypted locally before sending to the server. the server should never receive any file or data unencrypted.
-Every other feature should work pretty much the same way as SVN or CVS does today.
Can anyone recommend something like this? I did a lot of searches but I cant find anything.
Hi all,
I have a Java app that has an icon in the system tray.
How can I check if the tray (or tray icon) has current focus?
Tray and TrayIcon don't seem to have .isFocused() or similar.
Is this possible?
Thanks!
My C# application throws a System.IO.IOExcepton (The directory name is invalid) for the following code for implementing a filewatcher:
public void OnChanged(object source, FileSystemEventArgs e)
{
DirectoryInfo dList = new DirectoryInfo(e.FullPath);
FileInfo[] TxtFiles = dList.GetFiles("*.TXT");
}
e.FullPath is "C:/Documents and Settings/Bi/Application Data/TestApp/Reports\\0MA01P62240_000005798_TRI_4947712701738551.TXT".
If you notice it seems to append a "\\" to the path when it tracks the file. Any idea what the problem may be?
Hello there, I have written some general functions to convert between decimal and any other base-n number system(n<=36 for now) and vice-versa. Don't want to make things messy here so i have posted the code here.
Could anybody suggest any better way for this? May be more effective and Rubyish?
Thanks
I was having troubles earlier while trying to declare a ChangeAction parameter in a method, with the IDE saying I might be missing a Namespace.
So I right click it and Resolve it and find that System.Data.Linq has been added and now everything is fine.
What is the difference between these two namespaces?
I am using VS2008 C# and testing on my local XP Pro PC with local IIS, I have wrote a web service to call a third party software .exe file to use svn checkout commands to insert data into a folder, which use System.Diagnostics.Process.Start . I get my data from SQL to Dataset with Fill. It's just one table with two columns (CategoryId (int) and CategoryName (varchar)).
When I look at my dataset after fill method, CategoryId Columns seems to be correct. But in the CategoryName I have a *System.Data.StrongTypingExceptio*n.
What could that mean?
Any Ideas?

Example: http:///_layouts/settings.aspx

I was surprised to see in the Java source that System.arraycopy is a native method.
Of course the reason is because it's faster. But what native tricks is the code able to employ that make it faster?
Why not just loop over the original array and copy each pointer to the new array - surely this isn't that slow and cumbersome?
Thanks,
-James
My site has several listing pages and on each page, I'd like to enable a commenting mechanism, but I want it to be as open source as humanly possible. This means full use of OpenID's, Facebook connect, etc. Does such a system exist that'll allow users to post their comments on my listing pages?
By the way, my site utilizes a LAMP architecture.
Has anyone got an idea regarding the motivation behind the awkward design of the java.lang.System.out?
Awkwardness:
First, the out member is exposed (Encapsulation anyone?).
Second, it is final but can be changed via setOut() (contradicts final).
I am trying to use the select clause to pick out an object which matches a specified name field from a database query as follows:
objectQuery = from obj in objectList
where obj.Equals(objectName)
select obj;
In the results view of my query, I get:
base {System.SystemException} = {"Boolean Equals(System.Object)"}
Where I should be expecting something like a Car, Make, or Model
Would someone please explain what I am doing wrong here?
The method in question can be seen here:
// this function searches the database's table for a single object that matches the 'Name' property with 'objectName'
public static T Read<T>(string objectName) where T : IEquatable<T>
{
using (ISession session = NHibernateHelper.OpenSession())
{
IQueryable<T> objectList = session.Query<T>(); // pull (query) all the objects from the table in the database
int count = objectList.Count(); // return the number of objects in the table
// alternative: int count = makeList.Count<T>();
IQueryable<T> objectQuery = null; // create a reference for our queryable list of objects
T foundObject = default(T); // create an object reference for our found object
if (count > 0)
{
// give me all objects that have a name that matches 'objectName' and store them in 'objectQuery'
objectQuery = from obj in objectList
where obj.Equals(objectName)
select obj;
// make sure that 'objectQuery' has only one object in it
try
{
foundObject = (T)objectQuery.Single();
}
catch
{
return default(T);
}
// output some information to the console (output screen)
Console.WriteLine("Read Make: " + foundObject.ToString());
}
// pass the reference of the found object on to whoever asked for it
return foundObject;
}
}
Note that I am using the interface "IQuatable<T>" in my method descriptor.
An example of the classes I am trying to pull from the database is:
public class Make: IEquatable<Make>
{
public virtual int Id { get; set; }
public virtual string Name { get; set; }
public virtual IList<Model> Models { get; set; }
public Make()
{
// this public no-argument constructor is required for NHibernate
}
public Make(string makeName)
{
this.Name = makeName;
}
public override string ToString()
{
return Name;
}
// Implementation of IEquatable<T> interface
public virtual bool Equals(Make make)
{
if (this.Id == make.Id)
{
return true;
}
else
{
return false;
}
}
// Implementation of IEquatable<T> interface
public virtual bool Equals(String name)
{
if (this.Name.Equals(name))
{
return true;
}
else
{
return false;
}
}
}
And the interface is described simply as:
public interface IEquatable<T>
{
bool Equals(T obj);
}
We have a windows application (C# .net) and we'll be giving installers to client. The requirement is that once the application has been installed , user should not be able to edit the system time/date . This is to make sure that the application generated dates/reports are not manipulated.
My target OS is Win-XP
What is the best way to do that ?
Does OS provide any facility to do that ?
Thanks in Advance
I'm looking for some good code examples of dynamic memory allocation using an assembly language under Linux and using system calls, not malloc and friends.
What are some of the simplest but effective ways to do this?
On Intel 386+ computers.
