• Open source jigsaw piece generator

  Hi, Does anyone know of a C-based open source class / framework which can generate a random jigsaw puzzle from an image or generate a random puzzle template which could then be applied to an image? The puzzle pieces must have male and female notches/holes. There should be more than one template so that the puzzle does not become too easy. The target system is iOS / Mac. If not, how would you approach this problem? The puzzle pieces should be as close to a real jigsaw piece shape as possible and the system must be dynamic so that the user can use their own photos or download photos. thanks!

  Had 3 questions regarding a hw assignment for C++. The goal was to create a simple palindrome method. I tried defining both the "it" and "rit" in the palindrome() method, and I kept on getting an error about needing a "," before rit. But when I cut and paste outside the for loop, no errors from the compiler. (I'm using VS 2008). Second question, I pretty much just brain farted on this one. But is the way I have my return statements in the palindrome() method ok? In my head, I think it works like, once the *it and *rit do not equal each other, then the function returns false, and the method exits at this point. Otherwise if it goes all the way through the for loop, then it returns true at the end. I totally brain farted on how return statements work in if blocks and I tried looking up a good example in my book and I couldn't find one. Finally, I get this warnings: \palindrome.h(14) : warning C4018: '<' : signed/unsigned mismatch Now is that because I run my for loop until (i < input.size()/2) and the compiler is telling me that input can be negative? • Does anyone use AODL in a real application?

  We are currently using the Excel interop API in .NET to generate simple spreadsheet documents from a template. So we load the template first, insert some rows, fill in some data (dates, text, and numbers), and make Excel visible so that the user can print or save the document we just generated. But I'd like to get rid of the Excel dependency, and switch to the ODF format as well. Googling suggests AODL (C# libs for generating ODF docs) as the most obvious solution. But their last release is 1.3.0.0 BETA, and seems to be 3 years old. So I'm not sure if it's a good idea to depend on a potentially dead project... In that case, I'd need to find another solution. Any ideas? Or maybe someone could assure me that AODL is still alive?

  Hi, i have been trying to use a velocity Template with the following content: Sübjäct $item everything works fine except the translation of the tow unicode characters. The result string printed on the commandline looks like: Sübjäct foo I searched the velocity website and the web an this issue, and came uo with differnt font encoding options, which i added to my code. But those won't help. Next thing I need to do is set the selected value that will come from a Session["orderTemplateId"] which is set when the user selects a particular option from the list. Now after looking online the fourth parameter should allow me to set a selected value, so if I do this: @Html.DropDownListFor(n => n.OrderTemplateListItems, new SelectList(Model.OrderTemplateListItems, "value", "text", 56), "Please select an order template") 56 is the Id of the item that I want selected, but to no avail. I then thought why not do it in the Controller?   Hi, I am trying to create a new report using the PUSH MODEL to supply data. I am creating a DataTable in my C# code and pushing this to a report using a template. I have created a report template and an XSD (using DataSet.WriteXmlSchema) and added this to my report using the Database Expert option. I have since deleted the xsd schema but the report still seems to be working. I was wondering why this was happening. Is the xsd file stored in the report? Thanks a lot. Ravi

First time when a template is created, I have to store "Version 1.0".   Hi, I'm working in an excel application and providing a menu to the user to add a new worksheet in that excel application (Excel Workbook). The worksheet will be added once the user clicks the "OK" button and I'm using a template to add this worksheet (The template has lot of formatting and formulas in it) Lets say the file size is 10 MB after adding a worksheet if the workbook is saved.   Hello to all, I'm working on a site where all the pages are actually index.php + a 'name' parameter that is analyzed and loads the appropriate template and content. the homepage url is: http://www.some_site.com/?page=homepage 1. i was asked to "change" the homepage url to: http://www.some_site.com can i use url rewite and htaccess for that and if so, what should i write there? working on my local machine, i tried this code (mode rewrite is enabled): <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine On RewriteRule /index.php /index.php?page=homepage </IfModule> i would still need the 'name' parameter to be available to the php code of course, so i can load the template and css files. 2. it would be nice for other pages (not homepage) to be converted from (example) http://www.some_site.com/?page=products to: http://www.some_site.com/products this is less crucial. thanx in advance and have a nice day :-)
