  • Forms/AD Authentication with Sharepoint

    All, I'm configuring Sharepoint to use forms authentication with LDAP/Active Directory. I'm new to Sharepoint, so if this is obvious, please point me in the right direction. Whenever I attempt to log in with a bad account or password, I get the very friendly (and correct) error message, The server could not sign you in. Make sure your user name and password are correct, and then try again. ... which implies that Sharepoint is able to communicate with AD. If I log in with a valid account, I get a page that says: (I added the grey bar to cover up the login name) Any suggestions? The account I'm logging in with is an administrator and has been granted full control in central administration. Also, interesting note: If I click the "sign in as a different user" link, and attempt to sign in using with the same credentials I just used, the site just redirects back to the login page, with no error or status message. If I then manually enter the site url, it again shows the "Error: Access Denied" page. Argh.

  • Casting an object using 'as' returns null: myObject = newObject as MyObject; // null

    I am trying to create a custom object in AS3 to pass information to and from a server, which in this case will be Red5. In the below screenshots you will see that I am able to send a request for an object from as3, and receive it successfully from the java server. However, when I try to cast the received object to my defined objectType using 'as', it takes the value of null. It is my understanding that that when using "as" your checking to see if your variable is a member of the specified data type. If the variable is not, then null will be returned. This screenshot illustrates that I am have successfully received my object 'o' from red5 and I am just about to cast it to the (supposedly) identical datatype testObject of LobbyData: However, when testObject = o as LobbyData; runs, it returns null. :( Below you will see my specifications both on the java server and the as3 client. I am confident that both objects are identical in every way, but for some reason flash does not think so. I have been pulling my hair out for a long time, does anyone have any thoughts?     Hi, I've got a staeful session bean. @Scope(ScopeType.SESSION) @Name("chuckNorrisBean") public class ChuckNorrisBean implements Serializable, ChuckNorris with some function public void roundHouseKick() { ... } interface @Local public interface ChuckNorris { public void roundHouseKick() { ... } } and calling them on a jsf .xhtml page using #{chuckNorrisBean.roundHouseKick} which works perfectly fine. However if I add the @Stateful annotation to the bean so it becomes @Stateful @Scope(ScopeType.SESSION) @Name("chuckNorrisBean") public class ChuckNorrisBean implements Serializable, ChuckNorris and the page will load with exceptions complainig about Exception during request processing:Caused by javax.servlet.ServletException with message: "#{chuckNorrisBean.roundHouseKick}: javax.el.MethodNotFoundException: //localhost/universe/earth.xhtml @41,65 action= "#{chuckNorrisBean.roundHouseKick}": Method not found: ChuckNorrisBean:a6gkg-w6das4-g8wmgh0y-1-g8woy0wo-4b.roundHouseKick()" Any advice on what might've went wrong with my chuckNorrisBean?   • How to profile Doctrine in Zend Framework

    Good day. I'm using Doctrine as ORM for my Zend Framework project. This is the first time I use it. I've followed the ZendCasts Doctrine chapters, and everything works for me, but I needed to perform some profiling; There is a Doctrine_Connection_Profiler class that should be used to profile the Doctrine Model internal queries, but I've tried to use it without success. I always get a "PDOException: You cannot serialize or unserialize PDOStatement instances" exception when I perform my Unit Tests. Here is a example: $conn = Doctrine_Manager::connection($doctrineConfig['dsn'], $dbconfname); ... if( APPLICATION_ENV != 'production'){ $obj_doctrine_profiler = new Doctrine_Connection_Profiler(); $conn->setListener($obj_doctrine_profiler); } All of my Unit Tests works if I comment/delete the $conn->setListener($obj_doctrine_profiler); line. This code block is located in my Bootstrap.php class; the weird thing is, the web application works just fine even with the mentioned code line. It seems easier to pass around the string and convert into the native form I need, than dealing with json as I don't need to change anything once it is generated.   • Single Form with Multiple Dynamic Buttons

    I've spent hours/days trying to figure this out and now I'm completely perplexed so I thought I'd give stackoverflow a try. I'm (a newb) working in Java/JSP using Eclipse hosting on Google App Engine trying to develop an app for a volunteer organization I'm a member of. Rather than embarrass myself by showing my current code I'd love just a nudge in the right direction. I have a form (which doubles as a report basically) showing "people" grouped under the "task" they are currently working on. I would like to select multiple people from multiple tasks and reassign them to another task e.g. Bill and Jane are Gardening, Jeff is Painting. I want to select Jane and Jeff (all people have an associated checkbox in the form) and re-assign them to Sweeping (which is a task on the form but has no people assigned to it yet). Ideally, the re-assignment to Sweeping would be via a Sweeping button (each task would have a dynamically-created task button) that would pass the "Sweeping" value to a servlet along with an array or list of people whose checkbox has been checked. The servlet would handle the request (creating an Assignment "object/entity" with timeStamp, personId, taskId) and then re-direct back to the form/report which would then repaint with the current tasks/people generated from the Assignments class in the datastore. All the tasks are user-defined and retrieved from the database when building the form. Ditto the people. I've been trying to keep the jsp for presentation and the servlets for the processing but I'm no purist and would just like to get unstuck. Many thanks in advance for your assistance.

    With the jQuery datepicker, how does one change the year range that is displayed? On the jQuery UI site it says the default is "10 years before and after the current year are shown". I want to use this for a birthday selection and 10 years before today is no good.   • Importing a SQL Server 2005 Profile Trace Template into SQL 2008

    I'm using SQL Server 2008, but my ERP Vendor only offers a SQL 2005 trace template that they'd like me to run on my system. When I attempt to import it, I receive confirmation that it was successfully imported. However, it does not show up in the list of available templates. I've done this on two separate servers to the same effect. Is this a known problem with SQL Server 2008? I Googled unsuccessfully.

    I'm trying to redraw the content of a simple loop. So far it prints out to the stdscr 100 lines, and then by using scrl to scroll n lines I get n blank rows. What I want is to keep with the sequence. However, I'm not sure how to redraw the stdscr with the n extra lines.     I looked around and decided to use a CSS approach rather than rely on JS... I figure the kind of corporate users stuck with IE6 might also have JS disabled by IT departments.   • Total stack sizes of threads in one process

    I use pthreads_attr_getthreadsizes() to get default stack size of one thread, 8MB on my machine. But when I create 8 threads and allocate a very large stack size to them, say hundreds of MB, the program crash. So, I guess, shall ("Number of threads" x "stack size of per thread") shall less than a value(virtual memory size)?

  • Integrating ASP.NET MVC 2 with classic ASP

    I'm in the process of moving a large classic ASP application to ASP.NET MVC 2. Questions: My question is about project organization. I would prefer to not mix the MVC code with the ASP code in the same VS project. I'd like to have an MVC WAP with areas that match the parts of the website that I'm migrating. For instance, the old site has a folder /products/default.asp..... /products/productName/default.asp etc. In the MVC WAP, I'd like to have an area called "products", which I could then, either through a rewrite, routing, or preferably through some IIS configuration, point the "products" folder on the ASP site to. In this way, I could gradually move root folders from the ASP site to the MVC application. However, if I create the MVC WAP in a virtual folder, then my routes wind up looking like http://localhost/virtualFolder/products instead of http://localhost/products Any suggestions on how to conquer this? I know that, during deployment, I could deploy the MVC WAP into the root of the ASP site, but this doesn't help with debugging.

    I managed to set the compiler to execute another program when the project is built/ran with the following directive in project options: call program.exe param1 param2 The problem is that the compiler executes "program.exe" and waits for it to terminate and THEN the project executable is ran. What I ask: How to set the compiler to run both executables in paralel without waiting for the one in PostBuild event to terminate? Thanks in advance
