    I am writing an application that used to backup some specified file, therefore using the backup API calls i.e CreateFile BackupRead and WriteFile API's. getting errors Access violation reading location.     I was trying to write a simple method: boolean validate(MyObject o) { // propertyA && propertyB are not primitive types. return o.getPropertyA() == null && o.getPropertyB() == null; } And got a strange error on the == null part: Syntax error on token ==. Invalid assignment operator. Maybe my Java is rusty after a season in PLSQL. So I tried a simpler example: Integer i = 4; i == null; // compile error: Syntax error on token ==. Invalid assignment operator. Integer i2 = 4; if (i == null); //No problem How can this be? I'm using jdk160_05. To clarify: I'm not trying to assign anything, just do an && operation between two boolean values. I am in the process of planning a database for a social networking project and stumbled upon this url which is a (crude) reverse engineered guess at facebook's schema: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ikhnaton2/533233247/ What is of interest to me is the notion of "Affiliations" and I am trying to fully understand how they work, technically speaking. Where I am somewhat confused is the NetworkID column in the FacebookGroups", "FacebookEvent", and "Affiliations" tables (NID in Affiliations). How are these network affiliations interconnected?     Currently working on open/read images in VC++. Some examples i came across on the internet use Windows.h I/O routines like ReadFile...but there seems to be inconsistency in there declaration. But in my code ..it is giving error message. 'ReadFile' : cannot convert parameter 4 from 'LPDWORD *' to 'LPDWORD' so i just initialized bytesRead to 0 and passed by value.( which is wrong..but just to check if it works ). then it gives this exception Unhandled exception at 0x774406ae in ImProc.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation writing location 0x00000000. However, the SQL that NHibernate is generating is inefficient. When I access parent.Children, NHIbernate does a SELECT * FROM ParentChildRelationship WHERE parent_id = 1 and then a SELECT * FROM Child WHERE id = ? for each child in each relationship. I understand why NHibernate is doing this, but I can't figure out how to set up the mapping to make NHibernate query the way I mentioned above.

    Alright I am having a world of difficulty tracking down this memory leak. When running this script I do not see any memory leaking, but my objectalloc is climbing. Instruments points to CGBitmapContextCreateImage create_bitmap_data_provider malloc, this takes up 60% of my objectalloc.     Hello, I have to make a torpedo game for school with a toplist for it. I want to store it in a folder structure near the JAR: /Torpedo/local/toplist/top_i.dat, where the i is the place of that score.     If I run this XML validation via xmllint: xmllint --noout --schema schema.xsd test.xml I get this success message: .../test.xml validates However if I run the same validation via libxml2's C API: int result = xmlSchemaValidateDoc(...) I figured it might be someplace in my code, so I modified .htaccess to spit out a 502 error to prevent it from loading anything. The error still shows up, just less frequently.     I have website working fine before. But now its not able to connect to the server(I believe that is the problem). But its strange that the message not able to connect to the server is not coming and its keep connecting... for infinite time. Here is the screenshot.
