    Suppose a HTML markup like this: <ul> <li>List item 1</li> <li>List item 2</li> <li>List item 3</li><!-- I want to select only this --> </ul> Would it be possible to select only the third list item in the unordered list element? I've been browsing the jQuery documentation but I can't find any selector that could do this.

  • How do I hide data/field in a List in J2ME

    Hi, I am working on a J2ME app which has dynamically generated Lists. Items on this list may be consequently selected, and the selection processed within the commandAction block. Is there a way to have the IDs of variables populating the List (from a remote database) included in the List item definition as in: this.append("A", null); this.append("B", null); or: String[] arrayOfValues = {"A", "B"}; new List("Menu", List.IMPLICIT, arrayOfValues, null); such that when an item is selected, perhaps A, I can also have its database ID for perhaps further processing. Is it possible to hide a field/data? Thanks.

  • jQuery-AJAX to rebind dropdown list to results from stored procedure

    I have a dropdown list of peoples names that is quite long. As many as 2,000 names. I would like to make it easier to find the name the user is interested in by limiting the dropdown list to a subset of names at a time. I have done this by creating a series of 26 links (A, B, C ... Z) that call a method in the code behind that populates the dropdown list with only those names starting with the letter the user clicked. This all works well but I would like to be able to use AJAX to accomplish this update of the dropdown list without a page refresh. I would like to use jQuery for the AJAX functionality rather than ASP.NET AJAX. My problem is I am not sure how to execute the stored procedure and then "rebind" the dropdown list with the new dataset via jQuery AJAX. Any suggestions or resources that might provide and example or walk-through? Thank you.

    I'm making a web app in Asp.Net using c# that lets you add items into the list. My problem is that each time that i click the button to add a new item into the list , its just shows me the last item and the list counter shows me only 1 . What am I doing wrong??     How can I find out the size of a file? I opened with an application written in C. I would like to know the size, because I want to put the content of the loaded file into a string, which I alloc using malloc(). Just writing malloc(10000*sizeof(char)); is IMHO a bad idea.

Since then I chose the 2nd option and it worked fine so far. What is your opinion on this? I is generally better to go with option 2? Other suggestions?

  • Python - counting sign changes

    I have a list of numbers I am reading left to right. Anytime I encounter a sign change when reading the sequence I want to count it. X = [-3,2,7,-4,1,-1,1,6,-1,0,-2,1] X = [-, +, +, -, +, -, +, +, -, -,-,+] So, in this list there are 8 sign changes. When Item [0] (in this case -3) is negative it is considered a sign change. Also, any 0 in the list is considered [-]. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • getElementsByTagName returns 0-length list when called from didFinishLoad delegate

    I'm using the Chromium port of WebKit on Windows and I'm trying to retrieve a list of all of the images in my document. I figured the best way to do this was to implement WebKit::WebFrameClient::didFinishLoading like so: WebNodeList list = document->getElementsByTagName(L"img"); for (size_t i = 0; i < list.length(); ++i) { // Manipulate images here... } However, when this delegate fires, list.length() returns 0. The only times I've seen it return a list of non-zero length is when I substitute "body" or "head" for "img". Strangely enough, if I call getElementsByTagName(L"img") outside of the delegate, it works correctly. I'm guessing that the DOM isn't fully loaded when didFinishLoading is called, but that would seem to contradict the delegate's name. Does anyone know what I may be missing here?

    I'm creating a list of my defined objects like so List<clock> cclocks = new List<clocks>(); for each object in the list i'm calling a method moveTime, like so foreach(clock c in cclocks) { c.moveTime(); } is the a way i can write some cleaver thing so i can call cclocks.moveTime(); it would then go though the list doing that method I guess I want to create a collection method?     I'm trying to make a function that takes in a list, and if one of the elements is negative, then any elements in that list that are equal to its positive counterpart should be changed to 0. Eg, if there is a -2 in a list, then all 2's in that list should be changed to 0. Any ideas why it only works for some cases and not others?     I am really hating SharePoint as there are hardly any good/concrete documentation. I developed custom List "MainCatalog" with few columns (not site columns). Create features and elements with MOSS feature builder at Site collection level so scope="site" installed via stsadm activated via UI "went to site collection website", Site Setting Site collection Feature (and saw my custom list "MainCatalog") and was able to activate. then went to "mySiteCollection Site Settings Site Libraries and Lists " My list is showing But it shows in the "mySiteCollection Create Custom Lists "MainCatalog" I guess it's showing there as a template... But my intention is to deploy this list from development to test environment. EXTREMELY STRESSED. I AM ON THIS FOR LAST 8 DAYS.....
