  Hello, I'd like to know if there is a way to create and launch a Remote Desktop Session on a Windows Server programmatically. I'm trying to make an automatic tool to create Local Users and then launch the associate RDP session. I've already made LocalUser creation and adding them to Remote Desktop Users (using net.exe). But I'm struck with the next step : create and launch user's rdp-session. I don't know how to handle this problem without having the Remote Desktop Client Gui. I'm working on a Windows Server 2003 and I'm using VS2008 with .NET 3.5. Regards.

• Django: how to create sites dynamically?

  Hi, I need to create an application for the company where I can create sites dynamically. For example, I need an admin interface (Django's admin is enough) where I can setup a new site and add some settings to it. Each site must hold a domain (domains can be manually added to apache conf, but if Django can handle it too would be awesome). Each site must be independent of the others, I mean, I shouldn't be able to see the data content of other sites but I can share same applications/models. I've seen the Django's Sites framework, but I'm not sure if it's possible to implement that way. Should I use Sites framework or create a new app that can handle sites better? What do you think?

  Hi, I'm trying to create a virtual wiki but I already struggle with In your Class Editor, create a new class called "XWikiServerClass" Further reading in the DevGuide / DataModel shows that I'm not alone. I understand the words saying but I don't get the how-to as there is no option in the class-editior of creating new classes. Navigating to class editor shows an info box No class is defined in this wiki document. You can create one by adding properties from the panel on your right, or you can choose another class to edit from the list below. Ok, I added 'XWikiServerClass' and would have expected to be able to add a type class but that's not possible. I've tried a few properties but nothing shows up as a class in class editor.

• How do I create Ntlm Type 1 and Type 3 messages in .Net

  I need to create Type 1 message and Type 3 message for NTLM handshaking. Is there any .Net API for this? Essentially, the application is WPF based, but Socket is used in order to stream data from the server. Use of socket is a technical requirement, but the problem is when user needs to connect to the server using a proxy server. Further, if the proxy authorization is based on Ntlm, the client application needs to create Type 1 and Type 3 messages in order to handshake with the proxy server. My question is: Is there any API already available in .NET libraries that can be consumed in order to create these different types of NTLM messages? Any help or alternatives will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  Hi, I used csv2xls.pl to convert a text log into .xls file, and then apply create chart function as following: my $chart3 = $workbook-add_chart( type = 'line' , embedded = 1); Configure the series. $chart3-add_series( categories = '=Sheet1!$B$2:$B$64', values = '=Sheet1!$C$2:$C$64', name = 'Test data series 1', ); Add some labels. $chart3-set_title( name = 'Bridge Rate Analysis' ); $chart3-set_x_axis( name = 'Packet Size ' ); $chart3-set_y_axis( name = 'BVI Rate' ); Insert the chart into the main worksheet. $worksheet-insert_chart( 'G2', $chart3 ); ========== I can see the chart in .xls file, however, all the data is in text format, not number, therefore, the chart looks wrong. I am wondering can you tell me how to convert text into number before apply this create chart function? One other thing is any idea how to apply sorting on the .xls file before create chart? Thanks. Right now I create a mysql connection at the beginning and use the same connection through out the code. Most of the time is spent making the API calls. Will it be more efficient to create a new database connection only when it's time to store the data (below)? • Virtual PC (XPMode) - How to access Webserver on guest from host

  I have Windows XP running inside Windows 7 via Virtual PC (XPMode) and installed Zend Server CE on the virtual XP guest. The webserver is running and can be accessed on the guest, but I cannot access the webserver from the Win7 host. I configured a static IP address and subnet of 255.255.255.0 on the guest and can ping this IP from the guest but not from the host. The other way it works fine, i.e. I can ping the host from the guest. I can also access the internet from the virtual XP guest. I tried different Network Options in the VirtualPC settings, but nothing helps. Googling the topic I couldn't find anything helpful yet. Any idea, what I could try to access the webserver on the virtual XP guest from the Win7 host?

  I have a model called Contact_Email. When an Email template is sent through ActionMailer to a specific Contact, as part of the Create action it sends it through upon .save. However, I want to create a "skip" action which also creates a Contact_Email, but does NOT send an ActionMailer and allows me to set the status differently. I want to create a separate action because I want to make this respond to a remote_for_tag so that I can just have an ajax button indicate it has been "skipped": Here's what I tried, but while it creates a Contact_Email, I end up getting an error when I want to go back and view all the Contacts again. def skip @contact_email = ContactEmail.new @contact_email.contact_id = params[:contact_id] @contact_email.email_id = params[:email_id] @contact_email.status = "skipped" if @contact_email.save flash[:notice] = "skipped email" redirect_to contact_emails_url end end

• Determine what account IIS 7 is using to access folders (and other resources)

  Often, out of sheer desperation I will end up enabling "Everyone" access on a folder that a web app is accessing (perhaps for file creation, reading, etc) because I can't figure which user account to enable access on. Obviously, this is a very bad thing to do. Is there a way to determine what account IIS is using at that exact moment to access folders (and perhaps other resources like SQL Server, etc)? Are there logs I can look at that will tell me? Or perhaps some other way? I usually use Windows Auth without impersonation. Not sure if that information is relevant.

  Is there any way, in PostgreSQL accessed from Python using SQLObject, to create a temporary table from the results of a cursor? Previously, I had a query, and I created the temporary table directly from the query. I then had many other queries interacting w/ that temporary table. Now I have much more data, so I want to only process 1000 rows at a time or so. However, I can't do CREATE TEMP TABLE ... AS ... from a cursor, not as far as I can see. Is the only thing to do something like: rows = cur.fetchmany(1000); cur2 = conn.cursor() cur2.execute("""CREATE TEMP TABLE foobar (id INTEGER)""") for row in rows: cur2.execute("""INSERT INTO foobar (%d)""" % row) or is there a better way? This seems awfully inefficient.

How can i assess the same object in these three functions.   I have a parent class and child class (inherited from parent). In the child class, I have a member function named function_blah(); I used vector<parent*> A to store 5 parent instances, 3 child instances. So the total number of elements in the vector is 8. I can easily access to member functions of element A[0] to A[4], which are parent instances. But whenever I try to have access to member functions of element A[5] to A[7], the compiler complains that class parent has no member named 'function_blah' The way I access to elements is using index. e.x A[i] with i = 0..7. Is it correct? if not, how?

  Hi, what is a good way to write unit tests with a LINQ to SQL DAL? Currently I am doing some database testing and need to create helper methods that access the database, but I don't want those methods in my main repo's. So what I have is two copies of the DAL, one in my main project and one in the Test project. Is it easier to manage these things if I create a separate project for the data layer? I'm not sure which way is a better way to approach this. If I do create a data layer project would I move all my repo's to that project as well? I'm not sure how to properly setup the layers. Thanks

So basically what I need to accomplish is, create an array of x amount of numbers (created randomly) who's value add up to n: Lets say, I have to create 4 numbers that add up to 30. I just need the first random dataset. The 4 and 30 here are variables which will be set by the user. Essentially something like x = amount of numbers; n = sum of all x's combined; create x random numbers which all add up to n; $row = array(5, 7, 10, 8) // these add up to 30 Also, no duplicates are allowed. I need the values with an array. I have been messing around with it sometime, however, my knowledge is fairly limited. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Cheers

  This is FIrst time i try to create Cocoa Touch Static Library and follow these steps. Create New Project with Cocoa Touch Static Library named it By default i got single class with Demo.h and Demo.m. 2.Create a public function in .h and implement it in .m. 3.Select iOS Device and press cmd + B. 4.Copy Demo.a from products and the .h file drop it in my iOS App where i want to use it. 5.Then Import Demo.h and try to call the function that i wrote. • Windows Service on NetworkService account can't access remote (shared) directory

  I'm trying to remotely access a shared folder with a Windows Service set to NetworkService account permissions. However, I get errors when I try to do this, e.g. Directory.Exists(servicePath) returns false, FileSystemWatcher doesn't recognize activity in the directory. If I change the service's account to LocalSystem, these methods work. I don't want to give the service root-level access, though. It seems to be a permissions problem, so how can I give the service permission to access the directory and monitor it?

  I have a sql script that is set to roll to production. I've wrapped the various projects into separate transactions. In each of the transactions we created stored procedures. I'm getting error messages Msg 156, Level 15, State 1, Line 4 Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'procedure'. I created this example script to illustrate Begin Try Begin Transaction -- do a bunch of add/alter tables here -- do a bunch of data manipulation/population here -- create a stored proc create procedure dbo.test as begin select * from some_table end Commit End Try Begin Catch Rollback Declare @Msg nvarchar(max) Select @Msg=Error_Message(); RaisError('Error Occured: %s', 20, 101,@Msg) With Log; End Catch The error seems to imply that I can't create stored procs inside of transaction, but I'm not finding any docs that say otherwise(maybe google isn't being freindly today).

I'm aware that in order to access a function within the class, you use call_user_func(): class foo { function bar() { echo 'hi'; } } $class = "foo"; all_user_func(array($class, 'bar')); // prints hi However, this does not work when trying to access a static variable within the class: class foo { public static $bar = 'hi'; } $class = "foo"; call_user_func(array($class, 'bar')); // nothing echo $foo::$bar; // invalid How do I get at this variable? Is it even possible? I have a bad feeling this is only available in PHP 5.3 going forward and I'm running PHP 5.2.6. Thanks.

Currently, I but a try finally block around everywhere, where I create an object, to free that object after usage (to avoid memory leaks). E.g.: aObject := TObject.Create; try aOBject.AProcedure(); ... finally aObject.Free; end; instead of: aObject := TObject.Create; aObject.AProcedure(); .. aObject.Free; To you think, it is good practice, or too much overhead?
