  • Way to access Palm Zlib DB files (.pdb) on Windows or Debian

    Is anyone aware of a way to access the data in zlib database files for Palm? The file extension is .pdb, but that extension covers a whole range of formats, so a generic 'pdb viewer' won't necessarily be able to handle this. I'd like to be able to open pdb zlib database files. I'd be grateful for any access method: an app for Windows or Debian, or a library for Python or PHP that makes it possible to access the data in these files. If no such tool exists, does anyone know how to use zlib to decompress the data from such a Palm pdb database?

  • Windows 2008 and Truecrypt: can't access shared folder called "media"

    On my Windows 2008 system, I've attached an external USB drive that's encrypted using Truecrypt. Once I mounted the Truecrypt drive, I share some of the directories from that drive using Windows file sharing. I tried sharing a folder called "media" and when I try to access that folder from a Vista client on my LAN via \myserver\media, I get this error: \myserver\media is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. An unexpected network error occurred. If I share the folder media under some name such as fizzbuzz then I can access \myserver\fizzbuzz w/o any errors. Any clues as to why this is happening?     I have a 2008 reporting services server installed on windows 2003 server. I am trying to allow anonymous access to the report builder folder so that my users do not have to select the remember password option when they login, if they are wanting to use the report builder. All I have found so far is that I should be able to do this with the IIS manager, but that only seems to work for reporting services 2005. Reporting services 2008 does not show up in the IIS manager, enabling anonymous access seems to be hidden somewhere else. How do I enable anonymous access to report builder in reporting services 2008?

    i've setup a SSL certificate to use in a website i'm working on. The problem is that when "Require SSL" is checked in iis, i get the following error while trying to access the site: 403 - Forbidden: Access is denied. You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied. If that checkbox is not checked, the site works fine (i'm not sure why, but i can even access it through SSL). Not sure if it makes any difference, but my company has an ISA server that we use as a proxy / firewall. Thanks, Gonzalo

  • Lock down Wiki access to password only but remain open to a subnet via .htaccess

    Basically we have a Wiki that has some sensitive information stored in it - not the best I know but my predecessor set it up. I want to be able to request password access from any one who is not on the local network subnet. Those on the local subnet should be able to proceed without entering a password. The following .htaccess does not seem to work any more as it is letting non-local access without requiring the password: AuthName "Our Wiki" AuthType Basic AuthUserFile /path/to/passwd/file AuthGroupFile /dev/null Require valid-user Allow from 192.168 Satisfy Any order deny,allow And I cannot work out why. The WikkaWiki it is supposed to be protecting was recently upgraded, which clobbered the .htaccess file so I restored the above from memory/googling. Maybe I am missing an important directive?     I have lighttpd setup on a machine (say ip is 10.107.105.13) with following details. inet addr : 10.107.105.13 Bcast : 10.107.111.255 Mask : 255.255.240.0 I can access my site on this computer by using firefox http://localhost/index.html. Now I am trying to access this site from another computer with following details inet addr : 10.14.42.7 Bcast : 10.14.42.255 Mask : 255.255.255.0 But it says 'access denied'. nmap 10.107.105.13 gives the following output. PORT STATE SERVICE 22/tcp open ssh 80/tcp open http 1234/tcp open hotline 3306/tcp open mysql 9418/tcp open git Following is the output of iptables -L -n -v on 10.107.105.13 141 11207 ACCEPT tcp -- * * 0.0.0.0/0 0.0.0.0/0 tcp dpt:80 0 0 ACCEPT tcp -- * * 0.0.0.0/0 0.0.0.0/0 tcp dpt:80 FORWARD and OUTPUT section empty.     I am trying to synchronize my music between my desktop (Ubuntu 9.10) and my laptop (VirtualBox: Windows 7 host & Ubuntu 9.10 guest) I use Unison to perform the actual sync, which itself is not the problem. I am ultimately trying to get my Windows 7 host to be able to access the music files so I can sync my iPod Touch. What I need to figure out is how I can that to work. I would prefer to actually perform the sync to my Ubuntu Guest, mostly because of the filename allowed character differences between Windows and Linux. Is there a way to access the files on my Linux Guest from the Windows Host? Can I mount the VDI in Windows when VirtualBox is off? Can I have Windows Host access the Linux Guest filesystem while VirtualBox is running?

My problem is that when i try to access the user using the IP address i get one of the sites in the virtual hosts too.. Although i disabled the default (removed the symbolic link) from sites-enabled folder but still not solved it for me. any suggestions?

Application pool for "MyWebApp" is "DefaultAppPool" {.Net Framework: 4.0 ; Managed Pipeline Mode: Classic} The problem I am facing is I can access the website using http://localhost, http://IP.IP.IP.IP and http://MyMachineName But I can not access the Application other than using http://localhost/MyWebApp What should I do if I want to access the webapp using http://MyMachineName/MyWebApp OR http://IP.IP.IP.IP/MyWebApp Please note : I have already created an inbound rule to allow all HTTP traffic for port 80 in firewall settings.

    When I try to fetch my site as a googlebot in webmaster tools it return Unreachable robots.txt, after investigate I understood google bot can see my server: tcpdump | grep google it return that google can access my server with IP 66.249.81.172 or 66.249.75.111. but there is not any think in access log or error log or other apache logs. cat access_log | grep google or cat error_log | grep 66.249.81.172 Other bot (bing,...) can access apache but google cant. there is not any problem in my robots.txt or its permissions because as you know robots.txt is not necessary so I delete it but again webmaster tools returned Unreachable robots.txt not 404 not found! information about server: Server OS : CentOS 6 Web Server : Apache 2.x Firewall : IPTables is stoped SELinux is Disabled There is not any think else for security on my server. how can I investigate the problem and is there any other command that can help me to find the problem.

  • On a router, how do I block wan access for a particular machine without blocking its access to the local network?

    On my tp-link TL-WR1043ND router I want to prevent a particular machine from having access to the WAN while still allowing that machine to access other machines on the LAN. My assumption is that I need to do something in the "Access Control" section, however the problem is that it wants an ip range or domain name for the target of the rule. The router uses DHCP to get an address from the WAN, so I don't have any guarantee what the ip address of the wan will be. If the answer is that it's not possible with this router, could someone describe how to do it using OpenWRT instead?

  • Allow certain users to access a specific directory?

    I'm trying to figure out how to allow certain users who are also me to access a directory of files that I want to use for all of my users. I'm using cPanel and I used WHM to create three separate accounts. The files I want to use are on account1 in the directory /home/account1/public_html/source/engines and I want the directory /home/account2/public_html/source/engines to use the same exact files without having to upload them to both places every time I change them, so I created a simple symbolic link and added account2 to the group account1 (while still keeping its own group as the primary). It still gives me a Permission Denied error though. Is there any way I can grant account2 and other accounts that I create for myself access to those files? I don't want them to be global to all users because I don't want my hosted users to be able to access them, only my users. groups account1 returns account1 : account1 groups account2 returns account2 : account2 account1 /home/account1/public_html/source/engines and all its files belongs to account1:account1 Any other information you might need just ask.

If I moved the .forward file to another filename, can I use it in procmail to send an email to the users in this file?

  • Cannot access Azure Portal: We were unable to find any subscriptions associated with your account

    I am trying to get access to my Windows Azure Portal. Although I can access my user profile which shows two active subscriptions, I cannot access the portal (https://manage.windowsazure.com/). I get redirected to this site: https://manage.windowsazure.com/Error/NoSubscriptions, saying We were unable to find any subscriptions associated with your account. Now, this is a clear issue for the Azure support, but unfortunately, as azure thinks I don't have any subscriptions, I cannot get support, either, because I get redirected to the same error page. I've spent two hours talking and chatting with incompetent support people, i.e.: I've submitted feedback on the azure site but have no idea whether I will ever get a response. Maybe somebody has had this issue before, or can hint me which way to go?
