• MSBuild 2010 - how to publish web app to a specific location (nant)?

  I'm trying to get MSBuild 2010 to publish a web app to a specific location. I can get it to publish the deployment package to a particular path, but the deployment package then adds it's own path that changes. For example: if I tell it to publish to C:\dev\build\Output\Debug then the actual web files end up at C:\dev\build\Output\Debug\Archive\Content\C_C\code\sawadee\frontend\IPP-FrontEnd\Source\ControllersViews\obj\Debug\Package\PackageTmp And the C_C part of the path changes (not sure how it chooses this part of the path). This means I can't just script a copy from the publish location.   All I want is a command-line tool that can extract files from a merge module (.msm) onto disk. I'm trying msidb.exe and orca.exe The documentation for orca states: Many merge module options can be specified from the command line... Extracting Files from a Merge Module Orca supports three different methods for extracting files contained in a merge module. Orca can extract the individual CAB file, extract the files into a module tree and extract the files into a source image once it has been merged into a target database... Extracting Files To extract the individual files from a merge module, use the ... -x ... option on the command line, where is the desired path to the new directory tree. The specified path is used as the root path for the extracted files. All files are extracted from the CAB file embedded in the module and placed in the specified path. The directory layout for the extracted files is based on the directory tree of the merge module. It mostly sounds like exactly what I need. But when I try it, orca simply opens up an editor (with info on the msm I specified) and then does nothing. I've tried a variety of command lines, usually starting with this: orca -x theDirectory theModule.msm I use "theDirectory" as whatever empty folder I want. Like I said - it didn't do anything. Then I tried msidb, where a couple of attempts I've made look like this: msidb -d theModule.msm -w {storage} msidb -d theModule.msm -x {stream} In both cases, I don't know what to insert for {storage} or {stream} to make it happy - I don't know what those represent. Can someone explain what I'm doing wrong with the command line options? Is there any other tool that can do this?

  Hi, If I have a python script that is executed via a symlink, is there a way that I can find the path to the script rather than the symlink? I've tried using the methods suggested in this question, but they always return the path to the symlink, not the script. • iPhone: CATiledLayer/UIScrollView wont scroll after zooming and only zooms to anchor point

  Here is the problem... I am using CA Tiled Layer to display a large jpg. The view loads okay, and when I go to scroll around, it works fine. However, as soon as I zoom in or out once, it scrolls to the top left (to the anchor point) and will not scroll at all. The zooming works fine, but I just cannot scroll.   Just getting started with node, and trying to get the mongo driver to work. • java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError in command line

  Hi, I'm developing an application in Eclipse and it runs fine from within Eclipse. The problem I'm having is that when I export it to a jar file and run it from the command line I get a NoClassDefFound error for javax.mail.internet. In both my project build path and class path I have included the activation.jar and mail.jar libraries required for me to use javax.mail.internet, and like I said it works fine from within Eclipse but not when I export it to a jar. If my build path has those files and so does my class path why would this not be working? • How to stop a QDialog from executing while still in the __init__ statement(or immediatly after)?

  I am wondering how I can go about stopping a dialog from opening if certain conditions are met in its __init__ statement. The following code tries to call the 'self.close()' function and it does, but (I'm assuming) since the dialog has not yet started its event loop, that it doesn't trigger the close event? So is there another way to close and/or stop the dialog from opening without triggering an event? • lwjgl 101: How can I write the basics?

  This ought to be really simple, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to compile anything with lwjgl and have it work. I can write something like package gwison; import org.lwjgl.Sys; public class G { public static void main(String[] args) { System.out.println(Sys.getTime()); } } and I can easily compile a program with several classes in different packages, as long as I wrote all the classes myself. But I have no clue how to make G work. I think it has something to do with classpathes? Maybe? Help?

But what I want is to also be able to open a link in a dialog window, kinda like... <a href="/path/to/file.html" class="modal">Open Me!!</a> I've done this before by hardcoding the path: $('#modal').load('/path/to/file.html').dialog('open'); but we can't hardcode the path in the javascript (as there will be multiple coming from the database) and I'm struggling to understand how to get this to work. I'm also pretty sure that the answer is really obvious, and I'm merely setting myself up to be humbled by the clever folk here at StackOverflow, but I've scratched my head for long enough this afternoon, so my ego has been put away, and hopefully someone can point me in the right direction... • Need assistance with Kohana 3 and catch all route turning into a 404 error

  Based on this documentation, I've implemented a catch all route which routes to an error page. Here is the last route in my bootstrap.php Route::set('default', '<path>', array('path' => '.+')) ->defaults(array( 'controller' => 'errors', 'action' => '404', )); However I keep getting this exception thrown when I try and go to a non existent page Kohana_Exception [ 0 ]: Required route parameter not passed: path If I make the <path> segment optional (i.e. wrap it in parenthesis) then it just seems to load the home route, which is... Route::set('home', '') ->defaults(array( 'controller' => 'home', 'action' => 'index', )); The home route is defined first.   Hey All! I am currently running into some problems with user's downloading a file stored on my server. I have code set up to auto download a file once the user hits the download button. It is working for all files, but when the size get's larger than 30 MB it is having issues. Is there a limit on user download? • Use VersionControlExt.Explorer outside Visual Studio

  Hi All, I'm developing a TFS tool to assist the developers in our company. This said tool needs to be able to "browse" the TFS server like in the Source Control Explorer. I believe that by using VersionControlExt.Explorer.SelectedItems, a UI will pop-up that will enable the user to browse the TFS server (please correct me if I'm wrong). However, VersionControlExt is only accessible when developing inside Visual Studio (aka Plugin). Unfortunately, I am developing a Windows Application that won;t run inside VS. So the question is, Can I use VersionControlExt outside of Visual Studio? If yes, how? It works as expected!)"> <Binding Path="Hurr"/> <Binding Path="Durr"/> </MultiBinding> </TextBlock.Text> </TextBlock> However the result is, in fact, " to the ". Even forcing the bindings to return DependencyProperty.UnsetValue doesn't work: <TextBlock xmnlns:base="clr-namespace:System.Windows;assembly=WindowsBase"> <TextBlock.Text> <MultiBinding StringFormat="{}{0} to the {1}" FallbackValue="Not set! • Python's subprocess.Popen object hangs gathering child output when child process does not exit

  When a process exits abnormally or not at all, I still want to be able to gather what output it may have generated up until that point.   I thought I had a working solution for converting .mdi files to PDF using the Microsoft Office Document Imaging object model. The solution is in a Windows Service, but now I'm running into some errors that I'm having trouble tracking down info on. The exception I get is: The server threw an exception. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80010105 (RPC_E_SERVERFAULT)) at MODI.DocumentClass.Create(String FileOpen) at DocumentStore.Mdi2PDF(String path, String newPath) Then, in the Event Viewer there is the following Application error: Faulting application MyWindowsServiceName.exe, version 1.0.0.0, time stamp 0x4b97f185, faulting module mso.dll, version 12.0.6425.1000, time stamp 0x49d65443, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x0000bd8e, process id 0xa5c, application start time 0x01cac08cf032914b. Here's the method that is doing the conversion: private int? I also built a a console apps converting hundreds of documents and DID NOT get the exception. So, it seems to be caused by creating too many instances of the MODI object, but only instantiated within a Service? Doesn't quite make sense. Anybody have any clues about these errors and how to debug them further?

I know that I can enter the name of the URL in a browser and "see" that I'm redirected, but I'd like to know what tool(s) can be used to actually really "see" the 301 redirect. Btw, I did test with a telnet, but when I enter www.example.org, which I redirected to example.org (without the www), all I can see is an "200 OK", I don't get to see the 301.
