• Unable to retrive open-id password wheras able to login via gmail only???

  Hello All, I have two OPEN-ID accounts referenced with same gmail address, now i forget one of my Open ID account's password and when i tried to recover my password then the mail sent by The MyOpen ID Team having second one open-id account's password change link whereas i need first one open-id password. i tries a lot of times to recover but each time mail having second open-id passord change link so what do i do to recover my first open-id password whereas i m able to login from that open-id via gmail account. i have mailed to open id teams many times already? but no answer?? how do i collect all open ID password reset link referencing same email address??

• How do you explain commented-out code to a non-programmer? [closed]

  What is the quickest and most comprehensible way to explain to a non-programmer what commented-out code is? When I mentioned it in a conversation to non-programmers, they seemed lost. Such people could for instance be graphical designers, when working on the same team to make an application. Typically I would need to mention what I will be/currently am working with during an update meeting. At first I thought about substituting commented-out with unused code. While it is true to some degree, it is also very ambiguous. If you are wondering, I am working with legacy code with commented-out code. This leads to my question: "how do you explain commented-out code to a non-programmer?"

• SQL Server Data Tools–BI for Visual Studio 2013 Re-released

  Customers used to complain that the tooling for creating BI projects (Analysis Services MD and Tabular, Reporting Services, and Integration services) has been based on earlier versions of Visual Studio than the ones they were using for their other work in Visual Studio (such as C#, VB, and ASP.NET projects). To alleviate that problem, the shipment of those tools has been decoupled from the shipment of the SQL Server product. In SQL Server 2014, the BI tooling isn’t even included in the released version of SQL Server. This allows the team to keep up-to-date with the releases of Visual Studio. A little while back, I was really pleased to see that the Visual Studio 2013 update for SSDT-BI (SQL Server Data Tools for Business Intelligence) had been released.   My team has recently went through the process of laying out a nearly one year plan for our direction of work. We have separated the plan into three phases and each phase will include a couple of launches. I wonder, from an agile point of you, is what we do wrong? I think it's not a bad idea, because we haven't spent too much time on designing anything but the first few steps and it's possible for us to change direction. At the same time it's nice that we don't act with only the near term in sight.

First, here's some background, we got some experienced developers and we also got new hires with almost zero programming practice. we'd like to perform fast and short iterations to release our product. we all team members locate at same site.   I work on a team which employs many of the extreme programming practices. We've gone to great lengths to utilize paired programming as much as possible. Unfortunately the practice sometimes breaks down and becomes ineffective. In looking for ways to tweak our process I came across two articles describing parallel pair programming: Parallel Pair Programming Death of paired programming. Its 2008 move on to parallel pairing While these are good resources I wanted to read a bit more on the topic. As you can imagine Googling for variations on parallel pair programming nets mostly results which relate to parallel programming. What I'm after is additional discussion on the topic of parallel pair programming. Do additional references exist that my Google-fu is unable to discern? Has anyone used the practice and care to share here (thus creating a reference)?

• BUILD 2013 &ndash; Summary

  Originally posted on: http://geekswithblogs.net/tmurphy/archive/2013/06/28/build-2013-ndash-summary.aspx BUILD was a wonderful experience.  It was great to see old friends, make new friends, learn about the latest Microsoft technology and party with a bunch of geeks.  It didn't hurt getting some awesome swag. While I Know that some people were disappointed that Microsoft didn't Say more about the XBox One, I was pleased with the information we got for developing Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone applications. Add to that the ability to pick the brains of MVPs and product team members was really worth the price of admission. It is going to take a while to digest all of the material and weeks to go through all the videos. In the end there is a lot of information that is going to improve my projects.  I look forward to what Microsoft has coming next seeing every one at the next BUILD. One of them is a wordy, well intended chap who insists on defining the technical solution to our stories before we put down our estimates with Planning Poker. • What are some alternatives to ASI iMIS Content Management Systems? [closed]

I am working with a team to select a new content management system for a large membership organization (around 25,000 members). The organization has revenue so I'm not looking for a dirt cheap solution. The site currently uses ASI iMIS which is based on ColdFusion. It's difficult to work with and not flexible for our needs. What other possible alternatives to ASI iMIS are there? Ideally the solution would have some sort of support from the vendor. • My Favourite Two Buttons in Denali CTP1 SSIS

  In SSIS for SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2008 when you delete something from the design surface it is gone.  The only real way of getting the deleted item(s) back is to revert to a previous version of the package or to redo the deleted items manually.  Neither of these options is particularly great.  I have made this mistake before and cursed not having CTL+Z and CTL+Y.  Denali changes this.  We can now undo and redo.  Very very welcome.  Well done, finally, the SSIS team.

Cricket world Cup 2011 is about to start and its going to be full of action. • Google Analytics - bad experiences? (esp. adult content)

  Hello all, I work for a rather large adult website, and we're currently not using Google Analytics. There is an internal debate going on about whether we should start using Analytics, but there is hestitation from certain parties. The main argument is that they fear that Google will get too much insight into our website, and might even block us from the index as a result based on our adult content. Has anyone here ever had such an experience, or know stories about bad experiences with Google Analytics in such a manner? I personally think it will only improve our website if we were able to use Analytics, but the dev team was asked to look into possible negative effects. Any help would be appreciated.
