    We would like to take this opportunity to announce new documents that are aimed at easing your experience when faced with troubleshooting Oracle Time and Labor issues. To this end we would like to highlight related and updated documentation regarding the top most reported OTL issues. Similar to the iRecruitment top error document updates announced in our EBS HCM Newsletter for December 2011, we proactively analyzed the issues reported on Oracle Time and Labor, identifying and consolidating knowledge content for the top 3 - 4 error messages in My Oracle Support documents. Many thanks Update 1 Based on @Peter Wagenet's suggestions below, the form now logs entries or inputs to the console but it doesn't display on the result section of jsfiddle instead what is displayed on jsfiddle result section or page is still this error {"error": "Please use POST request"} ** http://jsfiddle.net/ACzaJ/18/ Update 2 In this fiddle, http://jsfiddle.net/ACzaJ/19/, i have successfully eliminated this error {"error": "Please use POST request"} by adding event.preventDefault(); to the submit action in Todos.TodoFormView. That allows us to use arbitrary view methods as action handlers. The existing issue is that the input to the form, only displays on the console and not on jsfiddle result section, though no error displays on the result section, there is a new error appearing in the console of the updated fiddle: Uncaught Error: Cannot perform operations on a Metamorph that is not in the DOM. Finally solved I needed to comment out App.initialize() for it to work as expected. This the working fiddle ** http://jsfiddle.net/ACzaJ/20/. I don't know why that is so, but my guess is that, App.initialize works with other parts like the router for routing, ApplicationController and ApplicationView with {{outlet}} in the handlebars, which i didn't need for this fiddle. Finally Finally and completely solved This ** http://jsfiddle.net/tQWn8/ works with App.initialize. But you have to declare all those components above and pass the router to App.initialize, like this App..initialize(router). If you don't do this, then you will get the old error Uncaught Error: Cannot perform operations on a Metamorph that is not in the DOM.

  • Error on restarting networking :SIOCSIFFLAGS

    I have a sever with 2 network cards, an internal IP on one card (eth0) and external IPs (aliased) on the other card (eth1). I lost connection the public network and I tried to restart networking with /etc/init.d/networking restart and got the error "SIOCSIFFLAGS: cannot assing requested IP and Failed to bring up eth1". I even added the IPs in the interfaces file but still got an error on restarting. I could not ping my default gateway. A work around was to add ifconfig eth 0 x.x.x.x route -add default gw x.x.x.z I could then connect to the public network. What could be the issue here?

  • Error 1130 connecting to MySQL on Ubuntu Server 12.04

    I hope this is the right place for this...I currently am running Ubuntu Server 12.04 through VirtualBox on a Windows 7 host. I am trying to connect to the VM's MySQL engine using MyDB Studio for MySQL, and when I enter my MySQL login credentials, it gives me the following error back: Error 1130: Host '192.168.56.1' is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server I am running the VM with Adapter 1 enabled for NAT, and Adapter 2 enabled for Host-only Adapter. eth0 10.0.2.15 and eth1 192.168.56.21. I can connect to Apache at 192.168.56.21, and through PhpMyAdmin, everything works as it should. I did edit the /etc/mysql/my.cnf file and commented out the line bind-address = 127.0.0.1 by adding a # in front of it - I thought that this should have allowed remote connections. Any ideas on how I can solve this? What could be wrong? EDIT: I am trying to connect as 'root'. EDIT: SOLVED!!

So, I'm really at a loss what's causing this error to occur time and again. I really want to solve this problem once and for all.

  • Access denied error when adding new server to existing SharePoint 2007 Farm

    I recently got an error when adding a new SharePoint 2007 (SP2) server to our existing MOSS farm.  I had run the installation fine, and was walking through the SharePoint Configuration Wizard, when I got an error on step 2: “Resource retrieved id PostSetupConfigurationFailedEventLog is Configuration of SharePoint Products and Technologies failed.” I searched the net, but didn’t really find anything. I then remembered that I had forgotten to run the latest SharePoint updates (for us, the latest applied was December 2009).  I installed the WSS update, and then the MOSS update and both worked fine.  I then ran the Configuration wizard again and it worked without any errors.

    When i have select to install updates from the update manager it says: Failed to fetch http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/l/linux/linux-image-3.0.0-13-generic_3.0.0-13.22_i386.deb Size mismatch I have tried several times and through terminal too but the size mismatch repeats itself there too. What is this size mismatch error ? Please Help ? tried sudo apt-get update and the sudo apt-get upgrade but the again error comes:: Failed to fetch http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/x/xserver-xorg-video-intel/xserver-xorg-video-intel_2.15.901-1ubuntu2.1_i386.deb Size mismatch E: Unable to fetch some archives, maybe run apt-get update or try with --fix-missing?

  • Error mounting VirtualBox shared folders in an Ubuntu guest

    I have Ubuntu 10 as the guest OS on a Windows 7 machine. I have been trying to setup shares through VirtualBox, but nothing is working. First, I create the share in VirtualBox and point it to a Windows folder. Then I try to mount the drive in Linux, but I keep getting /sbin/mount.vboxsf: mounting failed with the error: Protocol error I have read so many solutions to this, but none seem to work. I have tried: Using the mount.vboxsf syntax Reinstalling VBox additions Rebooting Enabling and trying as root account I made a share called "Test" in VBox Shared folders. Then I made a directory in ubuntu named "test2". Then I tried to execute this command: sudo mount -t vboxsf Test /mnt/test2 Any other ideas?

  • SAN cache memory upgrade

    We currently have an IBM DS4300 Dual Controller Fibre SAN. It is a good box, but getting pretty old. It came with 256MB of cache per controller. Recently we replaced the batteries in one of the controllers and noticed that the cache is a DDR PC2100 ECC DIMM. Of course, we are thinking about how cheap this RAM is now and is there any good reason we can't upgrade the RAM. IBM used to have a "Turbo" upgrade to this box that doubled the cache and had a bunch of software features for about 10K USD. Since that product has been end-of-lifed, I don't think we can get that upgrade and we don't need the software upgrades (FlashCopy, StorageCopy, etc). Besides the obvious potential warranty issue, what if any issues would we expect to see if attempting to put 2 - 1GB DIMMS in this unit? Any other things I am missing here?     Since installing Ubuntu 12.10 Gnome remix I encounter systemm's unpredictable and unwanted behavior. Almost after each resume from suspend (or even after unlocking the screen after it goes blank) I get apportcheckresume error and message "Ubuntu 12.10 has encountered an internal error".Many times the system event wont resume and I need to restart it. Other times log in screen is not visible, the screen is blank and i have to write my password "in blanco". Sometimes additional thing also happens - textures get messed up and background and windows get distorted by horizontal lines Sorry I can't localize the log file for the errors.   • Unrecoverable error during WUBI installation

    I tried to install 12.10 on my PC with Windows 7 installed, but I don't have a CD drive and my PC doesn't support USB booting, so I tried the Windows Installer (WUBI). I had the ISO image mounted with daemon tools, so the Windows installer took those files and used them (I guess, because it didn't download any files). Everything went right, but when it prompted me to reboot, I rebooted the PC and then it starts to install, but when the installation process starts, a message that says: The installation found a unrecoverable error. pops out and makes me reboot, then when I select Ubuntu in the operating system selection screen, it says that an error occurred.

  • Formatted Ubuntu partition & now grub says "error: no such partition" - can't enter windows

    I had installed Ubuntu (current version: 11.xx) alongside Windows Vista. Now I formatted the Ubuntu partition & merged it with another partition (without thinking, obviously). Now, when I restart the computer, GRUB probably tries to find the old partition (which does no longer exist) and says: error: no such partition. grub rescue> Now I dont know what to do (I'm a total beginner). I tried to re-install Ubuntu on the newly formatted partition but this won't work, because after removing the install-usb (which I am said to do during installation) I find the above error-message again. I guess I need some way to reconfigure grub OR to reinstall grub/ubuntu (on the newly formatted partition) OR to reinstall the windows boot manager (without reinstall. Windows), but I have no idea how to do either of these things.
