    - by The Talking Walnut
How can I go to an anchor tag on the page when the myDropDownList_SelectedIndexChanged() event fires? I am using regular ASP.NET Forms. Update: The following is valid for an ASP.NET Button. I would like to achieve the same functionality (going to #someAnchor) when I select an option from the Dropdown list. <asp:Button ID="btnSubmit" runat="server" Text="Do IT" Width="186px" PostBackUrl="#myAnchor" CausesValidation="false" />

  • Good Way to Debug Visual Studio Designer Errors

    - by Daisuke Shimamoto
Hi, Does anyone know a good way to debug errors in the Visual Studio Designer? In our project we have tons of UserControls and many complex forms. For the complex ones, the Designer often throws various exceptions which doesn't help much and was wondering if there's some nice way to figure out what has gone wrong. The language is C# and we're using Visual Studio 2005. Thanks, Daisuke

  • Foreign Keys Duplicated in DataGridView

    - by John Doe
I created a Windows Forms Application to which I added a DataGridView and LINQ to SQL Classes from one of my databases. I can successfully bind one of my database's tables to my DataGridView: var dataSource = from c in _db.NetworkedEquipments select c; dataGridView1.DataSource = dataSource; However, the foreign keys get duplicated, that is, the columns appear twice. How can I prevent this?

  • Get methods params type parsing wsdl file in a rails/ruby application

    - by Marco Sangiorgi
Hi, I have a question about ruby and wsdl soap. I couldn't find a way to get each method's params and their type. For example, if I found out that a soap has a methods called "get_user_information" (using wsdlDriver) is there a way to know if this method requires some params and what type of params does it require (int, string, complex type, ecc..)? I'd like to be able to build html forms from a remote wsdl for each method... Sorry for my horrible English :D

  • Is it possible to make ListView display a text obtained through its ListViewItem.Tag?

    - by Dimitri C.
I'd like to fill System.Windows.Forms.ListView with the items I've stored in a separate System.Collections.Generics.List<. I would like to avoid to store the data twice, once in the List< and once as a string in ListViewItem. Is there a way to make ListViewItem use some callback function to obtain the text to put in its columns from the Tag property, instead of using its Text property?

  • SQLAlchemy introspection

    - by Shaman
What I am trying to do is to get from SqlAlchemy entity definition all it's Column()'s, determine their types and constraints, to be able to pre-validate, convert data and display custom forms to user. How can I introspect it? Example: class Person(Base): ''' Represents Person ''' __tablename__ = 'person' # Columns id = Column(String(8), primary_key=True, default=uid_gen) title = Column(String(512), nullable=False) birth_date = Column(DateTime, nullable=False) I want to get this id, title, birth date, determine their restrictions (such as title is string and max length is 512 or birth_date is datetime etc) Thank you

  • How is the default constructor of System.Drawing.Graphics removed?

    - by Albert Iordache
When I try to create an object of Graphics, why doesn't the following work? System.Drawing.Graphics graphicsObj = new System.Drawing.Graphics(); (I am aware that I could create a private System.Windows.Forms.Panel Obj; and then do CreateGraphics() if I wanted it to work) I tried to find a custom constructor for Graphics, but I couldn't find one. Where did Microsoft define it, or how did it block it?

  • A C# class with a null namespace

    - by Richard Ev
While going through some legacy code today I discovered that you can declare a C# class without placing it in a namespace (in this scenario I have an ASP.NET WebForms application and some of the web forms are not declared within any namespace). A GetType() on such a class returns a type where the namespace property is set to null. I did not know that this was allowed - can anyone suggest why it would be desirable to have a class that is not declared within a namespace?
