I can click Continue to this website (not recommended). but I use IE for automation testing so I have to avoid these extra clicks. Any idea? I tried setting “Turn off the Security Settings Check feature” to enabled. setting "Display Mixed Content" to enabled lowering security levels to minimum adding the web server address to trusted zone

    Hi all, I have a question concerning hard disk permission after Using boot camp, i have a macbook pro 17 i7, 500gb, yesterday i installed window 7 ultimate in 80 gb (bootcamp) ntfs offcourse. I was testing my HD permission since i found that the start up is slow in mac side. I found there's alot of changes in permissions is that normal or i should to repair all this permission problems, need to mention that from Windows side i can see my mac drive which i don't want...     I am looking to use monit to keep an eye on my site. I want it to treat it the site like an external user so am testing the url but it doesn't seem to follow redirects. The content check is being performed on the html of the redirect. #request works: if failed url http://www.sharelatex.com/blog/posts/future.html content == "301" #request fails if failed url http://www.sharelatex.com/blog/posts/future.html content == "actual content" Finding out how to get the url check to follow 30X would be great.

What I wanna know is, is there any way to save (or maybe sync with Windows Live account) installed app list, and install these saved applications in future - RTM version of OS? I mean, somehing like on Apples' devices - icloud features function that I'm talking about. You can install apps on iPhone and sync with iCloud account. Then you can re-install these apps on another device, which signed in with your login into icloud.

    There's a rumour that public domain name resolvers, like Google Public DNS, are still supposed to work with GeoDNS, because there's some field in the requests that lets them specify for which IP address they are doing a resolution, thus the authoritative servers can give a given resolver different resolutions for different final clients. What's this whole thing called as far as RFCs go, and how does one mimic such resolutions, for testing purposes, e.g. with dig(1)? Else, what other tool is available to accomplish said task?

    I am currently writing a bash script (for Nagios), and I would like to be able to detect if specific network cards are up or not. My best guess is to do something like this: ifconfig eth0 | grep UP | wc -l or: ethtool eth0 | grep "Link detected: yes" | wc -l Are either/both of those reliable ways of testing if the network card is up, or is there a better option? Perhaps there is a flag on ethtool which will do precisely what I want? Thanks in advance for any suggestions/pointers! Rich

  • SBS 2008 Script to connect - disconnect backup disk?

    I want to be able to leave multiple external drives connected to an SBS 2008 server and select which drive is used as a target for the backup without physically connecting/disconnecting the drive. Windows doesn't support this and my testing confirms that if 2 drives are connected there is little to no rotation between the target drives, the backup will run to the last drive it used if it is connected. Anyone have a script that will disconnect and reconnect a physical drive? Thanks!

    I've been testing deployment for a website with some virtual servers. I have most of my deployment steps done via kickstart file (package installation and user creation). However, for MySQL I have to: Run mysql_secure_installation (sets up root password, deletes anonymous users, disallows root login remotely, removes test databases) ./ Then, create the website's databases and the database user. I'm not sure if this is possible in kickstart---especially the prompts in mysql_secure_installation. Perhaps someone has some suggestions or examples?

If I install a virtual machine (VirtualBox) to test, and it does get infected with viruses, will it also infect my host system? In other words, can I use the virtual machine for testing without being concerned about a virus on the virtual machine infecting my host?

  • unable to mount disks in usb dvd drive

    I have 2 USB DVD drives. One that I borrowed from work which I have been testing with which works fine for me, which is why I brought one of myself. When I try and mount my new dvd drive this happens: [18:06:45][arcath@londinium][~] sudo mount /dev/sr0 /mnt/dvd/ mount: special device /dev/sr0 does not exist /dev/sr0 is only in the list when the drive is attached and it works on other machines using the same cables so it must be something with my server. The server is running Ubuntu 10.10 server

I promised them to look into other CRM applications that use SQL Server as the backend and preferably has an Outlook plugin so you can do "CRM Stuff" directly from Outlook.   • Any consumer routers with Outgoing VPN support?

    When I'm working at home, I need to be able to connect to three different outgoing VPNs, two of which happen to use the same internal IP addressing schemes (192.168.0.*). I also need a static address for my VirtualBox VM so I can connect to my testing web server. Are there any routers which will allow me to connect to multiple outgoing VPNs and assign different internal IP addresses through NAT? Is such a thing even possible, or are there alternate solutions available? Thanks!

Afterwards, Thunderbird informs me that it is no longer the default client, which it should have remained. How to stop Outlook 2010 from being so insolent? edit In fact, Outlook does not change any of the settings I checked so far (it doesn't re-register files, and mailto: links still open Thunderbird, so I'm rather confused at what Thunderbird considers to be modified by Outlook

We know the machines/labs have to be undeployed and consolidated, which is done for this testing lab. However, what should be the next steps to make this as efficient as possible, as we have a large number of labs to migrate.
