    I'm testing MFCMapi and the Exchange CDO 1.2.1 on a Windows Server 2008 R2 PC and I continually get a Err: 0x8004010F=MAPI_E_NOT_FOUND Am I correct in assuming that the Exchange CDO pack does not work properly on 2008 R2?

  • Nginx Rewrite Rule For File Within Folder Not Working

    Good evening everyone or possible early morning if you are in my neck of the woods. My problem seems trivial but after several hours of testing, researching and fiddling I can't seem to get this simple nginx rewrite function to work. There are several rewrites we need, some will have multiple parameters but I cant even get this simple 1 parameter current url to alter at all to the desired. Current: website.com/public/viewpost.php?id=post-title Desired: website.com/public/post/post-title Can someone kindly point me to as what I have done wrong, I am baffled / very tired... For testing purposes before we launch we were just using a simple port on the server.     Im installing Debian testing version wheezy on my Asus X53Sc with Intel Centrino Wireless-N 100. Im having a problem with my wifi connection. When I try to connect to internet with the wireless connection, an error occurs: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/rtl_nic/rtl8105e-1.fw for module r8169. I installed successfully the iwlwifi-100-5.ucode, but now I have this error. Any ideas or suggestions to resolve the problem ?

    I would like to rewrite requests to http://www.mysite.com/foo to http://foo.mysite.com without the user's address bar changing. Using IIRF I can do the rewrite, but only if I use the [R] modifier flag which makes the rewrite a redirect. Is there a way for me to transparently rewrite requests to a subdomain? Here's the rewrite rule I've been testing with: RewriteRule ^/foo/(.*)?$ http://foo.mysite.com/index.html?$1 [R,L]

  • VMWare/Ubuntu development stack with symlink to Windows 7

    I would like to use a vm ubuntu installation as my testing environment, but to ease workflow, I have symlinked /var/www to a windows share. Everything looks good when browsing files and the owner and group both are showing up as www-data, but I can not seem to get apache to respond with anything other than permission denied. Obviously there are still some permission issues between Windows 7 and Ubuntu, but I don't know where to go

  • Suppressing iTunes Licensing Agreement for Roaming Profiles

    This application is stored locally from our company image we are testing, but our users are using roaming profiles and each time they log in to a different computer or the main computer they work on iTunes keeps asking them to accept the licensing agreement. Is there anyway to keep this agreement from coming up since they are not storing this information in their profile or on the computer locally? All the computers are on Windows 7 and we run a Server 2008 R2 Domain.

  • Does chunk size affect the read performance of a Linux md software RAID1 array?

    This came up in relation to this question on determining chunk size of an existing RAID array. The general consensus seems to be that chunk size does not apply to RAID1 as it is not striped. On the other hand, the Linux RAID Wiki claims that it will have an affect on read performance. However, I cannot find any benchmarks testing/proving that. Can anyone point to conclusive documentation that it either does or does not affect read performance?

  • Ubuntu server boot degraded raid

    I've installed Ubuntu 12.04.1 in a new server and set up the 4 hard drives with 3 RAID 1 devices, the configuration is such that the first two drives have md0 (swap space) and md1 (/) with the third and fourth drives having md2 (/var). I've been testing the operation under a drive failure and found that the system boots fine if I remove disk two but if I remove disk one then the system gets to grub and then just restarts. I'm confused as to why grub appears to be loading properly from disk two but then the boot fails.

I used one of the addresses and I tried testing the proxy at http://ipv6-test.com/ but it detected that is using the first ipv6 adddress instead of the certain ipv6 address that I provided. Example I used 2607:f358:0001:fed5:0022:772f:6ed3:7f3c as my proxy but it detected as 2607:f358:0001:fed5:0022:0000:db61:85e1 . Why is it doing that? The proxy server I am using is polipo

    A person who is not very computer-savvy needs to store 130GB of photos. The key parameters are: an non-negligible probability that the company selling the storage will be existing, and the data accessible, for at least five years data should be considered safe once uploaded reasonable terms of service: google drive reserving the right to literally do anything they want with their user's data is not acceptable; the possibility that the CIA might look at those pictures is not considered a threat easy to use from Windows, preferably as a drive no nerve-wracking limitations ("cannot upload 10GB/day" or "files 500MB" etc.) that serve no purpose other than pushing the user to the next-higher price plan some upgrade plan: there's currently 10-30GB of new photos per year, with a tendency to increase, which might bust a 150GB limit next January ability to somehow sort the pictures: currently they are sorted into folders, but something alike (tags) would be just as good, if easy enough to apply of course, the pricing is important (although there's a reason this is the last bullet; reasonable data safety is considered more important) Nice to have, but not necessary features would be: additional features related to photos (thumbnail generation, album sharing etc.) access from web and other platforms than Windows (smart phones) Let me stress this again: The person in need of that is able to copy pictures from the camera to the computer, can copy files in the explorer, and uses a web email service. That's about it, there's almost no understanding of what happens under the hood.

  • Which scripting language to use to asynchronously ssh into equipment, run several commands, parse the output, and save to a file on my computer?

    There are several points I'd like to stress in my question. I'd like to login by asynchronously ssh'ing into our infrastructure equipment. Meaning, I do not want to connect to only one device, do all the tasks I need, disconnect, then connect to the next device. I want to connect to several devices at once in order to make the process as fast as possible. By equipment I mean 'infrastructure equipment' and not servers. I say this because I will not have the luxury of saving files to the device then transferring them to myself with scp or another method. The output of the scripts that are run will have to be saved directly to my computer. The output of the commands that are run will need to be cleaned up and parsed. Also I want the outputs of each device to be combined into one nice and neat file, not a separate file for each device. This will all be done from a linux box, using ssh, into devices that all use linux'ish proprietary OSes. My guess is the answer to my question will either be a Bash, Perl, or Python script but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask and to hear the reasons why one way is better than another. Thanks everyone.   • Gzip not working in browser

    According to whatsmyip.org none of my browsers (Firefox, Chrome etc) on W7 are gzip enabled, it's saying 'NO, your browser is not requesting compressed content' which agrees with Chrome developer tools as I was testing a site and it was complaining that the page and css etc weren't compressed. I've searched for an answer but cannot find anything for this. I've tested from another pc connected to the router and that works fine, something on this pc is broke.... Any help tia

    Does anyone know where to find various arguments for msi's, such as installing/running as administrator, or restart after installation. I am trying to push out an msi update through group policy, but after testing the msi I found out that it needs to be run as administrator to install, and that for it to begin working fully the computer needs to be rebooted. I had a look around my local PC World today and only the more expensive drives explicitly state on the packaging that they were Mac compatible. Is this just because these products have been through Apple's hardware approval/testing programme, or do Mac's have some special requirement?

  • 2 servers, high availability and faster response

    I recently bought a second webserver because I worry about hardware failure of my old server. Now that I have that second server I wish to do a little more then just have one server standby and replicate all day. As long as it's there I might as well get some advantage our of it ! I have a website powered by ubuntu 12.04, nginx, php-fpm, apc, mysql (5.5) and couchdb. Im currently testing configurations where i can achieve failover AND make good use of the extra harware for faster responses / distributed load. The setup I am testing nowinvolves heartbeat for ip failover and two identical servers. Of the two servers only one has a public ip adress. If one server crashes the other server takes over the public ip adress. On an incoming request nginx forwards the request tot php-fpm to either server a of server b (50/50 if both servers are alive). Once the request has been send to php-fpm both servers look at localhost for the mysql server. I use master-master mysql replication for this. The file system is synced with lsyncd. This works pretty well but Im reading it's discouraged by the (mysql) community. Another option I could think of is to use one server as a mysql master and one server as a web/php server. The servers would still sync their filesystem, would still run the same duplicate software (nginx,mysql) but master slave mysql replication could be used. As long as bother servers are alive I could just prefer nginx to listen to ip a and mysql to ip b. If one server is down, the other server could take over the task of the other server, simply by ip switching. But im completely new at this so I would greatly value your expert advice. Is either of the two setups any good ? If you have any thoughts on this please let me know ! PS, virtualisation, hosting on different locations or active/passive setups are not solutions im looking for. I find virtual server either too slow or too expensive. I already have a passive failover on another location. But in case of a crash I found the site was still unreachable for too long due to dns caching.
