    I use Linq to Sql Compact with code generated by sqlmetal. When I open an invalid database, like eg an mp3, I can create the DataContext without getting an Exception. But when I query any data or call DatabaseExists, the application hangs. Why is no exception thrown? Is this a known problem?

    I've implemented a ReloadableResourceBundleMessageSource in my Spring MVC application which I use to display prettier error messages for binding exceptions. The problem I'm having is that, due to a company policy, these errors must be displayed in the following format: [inputData] is not a valid [fieldName]. The field name is accessible by default in my message properties file (as the {0} argument), but I can't figure out a way to display the invalid user input. Is this possible?

    The list of valid XML characters is well known, as defined by the spec it's: #x9 | #xA | #xD | [#x20-#xD7FF] | [#xE000-#xFFFD] | [#x10000-#x10FFFF] My question is whether or not it's possible to make a PCRE regular expression for this (or its inverse) without actually hard-coding the codepoints, by using Unicode general categories. An inverse might be something like [\p{Cc}\p{Cs}\p{Cn}], except that improperly covers linefeeds and tabs and misses some other invalid characters.

    I have just tried to upload Mac app to app store. But Apple said just error. Invalid Code Signing Entitlements. Your application bundle's signature contains code signing entitlements that are not supported on MAC OS X. Specifically, key 'application-identifier' in '(My app name).app/Contents/MacOS/(My app name) is not supported. My XCode is 4.2 and I didn't check Enable Entitlements. Please help me!!!

I have verified the server name, database, user & password are correct. Here is the string: "Provider=SQLOLEDB;Server=xxxxx.db.12345.hostedresource.com;Database=foo;UID=fooUser;PWD=fooPW" The SQL server is hosted on Godaddy so I don't have access to its settings. Please help, I've scoured the internet for a solution!

    My C# application throws a System.IO.IOExcepton (The directory name is invalid) for the following code for implementing a filewatcher: public void OnChanged(object source, FileSystemEventArgs e) { DirectoryInfo dList = new DirectoryInfo(e.FullPath); FileInfo[] TxtFiles = dList.GetFiles("*.TXT"); } e.FullPath is "C:/Documents and Settings/Bi/Application Data/TestApp/Reports\\0MA01P62240_000005798_TRI_4947712701738551.TXT". If you notice it seems to append a "\\" to the path when it tracks the file. Any idea what the problem may be? Thanks

Has anyone else had this problem, and do you know how to solve it??

    I've read about this a lot and I just can't figure it out. It has nothing to do with MY code, it has to do with the feed or something because if I swap it with a Twitter feed it returns an Object object which is perfect. $.getJSON('http://rockbottom.nozzlmedia.com:8000/api/portland/?count=1&callback=?',function(json){ console.log(json) }); And i get an "invalid label" error.     I was trying to get fresh copy of my project from github using tortoise svn client. But I am getting following exception. The PROPFIND request returned invalid XML in the response: XML parse error at line 1: no element found (Checkout from https://github.com/anoopchaurasia/JavaScript-File-Manager.git) When I tried to checkout using subeclipse on Eclipse, it saying "Folder does not exist.". I am able to checkout same repository on my other system.

    I've got a function that requires const some_type** as an argument (some_type is a struct, and the function needs a pointer to an array of this type). I declared a local variable of type some_type*, and initialized it. Then I call the function as f(&some_array), and the compiler (gcc) says: error: invalid conversion from ‘some_type**’ to ‘const some_type**’ What's the problem here? Why can't I convert a variable to const?
