  • How do I get wireless to work on a Dell Mini 1018 with Realtek RTL 8188CE Network Adapter?

    My Dell Mini 1018 used to work fine with Ubuntu 12.04 with no problems connecting with the wireless card. Then I made the big mistake of attempting to disable WiFi by right-clicking on the wireless applet and un-checking "Enable Wireless." Since then, I cannot get wireless working again. The wireless applet reports that "wireless is disabled by hardware switch" but there is no hardware switch on this computer. Issuing a rfkill list yields the following: 0: dell-wifi: Wireless LAN Soft blocked: yes Hard block: yes 1: phy0: Wireless LAN Soft blocked: no Hard blocked: yes I'm in way over my head, and my computer is now useless. Help!!!

    Hello, gcc 4.4.2 / Visual Studio C++ 2008 I have been using cmake on linux, without any problems. Now I have ported by application to run on windows. I generated the solution files using cmake -G "Visual Studio 9 2008 ../src" However, I know that cmake only creates a Makefile that is used by the compiler to build your application. I open my solution in Visual Studio, I press the F7 key to compile. I am wondering does it actually use the Makefile that was generated by cmake? Or it is just compiling the application like any normal visual studio program? Many thanks for any advice,

And The generated table in database has a integer pk, without auto-increment functionality... Any idea?     If your head is dizzy with the myriad VS services and APIs, from EnvDTE to Shell.Interop, this should clarify a couple things. First a bit of background: APIs on EnvDTE (DTE for short, since that’s the entry point service you request from the environment) was originally an API intended to be used by macros. It’s also called the automation API. Most of the time, this is a simplified API that is easier to work with, but which doesn’t expose 100% of what VS is capable of doing. It’s also kind of the “rookie” way of doing VS extensibility (VSX for short), since most hardcore VSX devs sooner or later realize that they need to make the leap to the “serious” APIs.
