• 1180: Call to a possibly undefined method addEventListener

  I'm going through some AS3 training, but I'm getting a weird error... I'm trying to add an event listener to the end of a motion tween in AS. I've created a tween, highlighted the frames, right clicked and copied the tween as AS and pasted it into the movie clip (I think there's a better way to do this, but I'm not sure what it is...) When I try to add the listener to the end of that code, I get the error.   I have the following code. What I want to achieve is to update the shown list when I click an entry so I can traverse through the list. I found the two uncommented ways to do it here on stackoverflow, but neither works. I also got the advice to create a new ListActivity on the data update, but that sounds like wasting resources? EDIT: I found the solution myself. All you need to do is call "SimpleCursorAdapter.changeCursor(new Cursor);".   I am working on sending and receiving from clients and servers in java, and am stumped at the moment. the client socket is to contact a server at “localhost” port 4321. The client will receive a string from the server and alternate spelling the contents of this string with the server. For example, given the string “Bye Bye”, the client (which always begins sending the first letter) sends “B”, receives “y”, sends “e”, receives “ ”, sends “B”, receives “y”, sends “e”, and receives “done!”, which is the string that either client or server will send after the last letter from the original string is received. After “done!” is transmitted, both client and server close their communications.   I'm running into an odd issue in Objective-C when I have two classes using initializers of the same name, but differently-typed arguments. I did some stepping through the debugger and found that the isa pointer for both a and b objects ends up the same. I also found out that if I no longer make the alloc and init calls inline, both initializations seem to work properly, e.g.: A *a = [A alloc]; [a initWithNum:20.0f]; If I use this convention when I create both a and b, I get the right output and the isa pointers seem to be different for each object. Am I doing something wrong? I would have thought multiple classes could have the same initializer names, but perhaps that is not the case.

  I have a program that requires two classes. The player-Names class, and the Player-Model class. I want the player-Names class to repaint every half second, and the Player-Model class to repaint 60 times per second because i want the movement to be smooth. The problem that i am having is that i want all of this to be done on one J-frame. How would i go about doing this? If you could lead me in the right direction or give me a little example that would be great!   Basically I have an image loaded, and when I click a portion of the image, a rectangle (with no fill) shows up. If I click another part of the image again, that rectangle will show up once more. For now, I just want to generate some mock objects and show their names in the list to be able to proceed.   When I run my code, I expect to see a JPanel in my JFrame, but nothing shows up. I had a button in the frame, and it shows up. But the JPanel doesn't show up, I even colored it in red. • Can I avoid a threaded UDP socket in Pyton dropping data?

  First off, I'm new to Python and learning on the job, so be gentle! I'm trying to write a threaded Python app for Windows that reads data from a UDP socket (thread-1), writes it to file (thread-2), and displays the live data (thread-3) to a widget (gtk.Image using a gtk.gdk.pixbuf). I'm using queues for communicating data between threads. My problem is that if I start only threads 1 and 3 (so skip the file writing for now), it seems that I lose some data after the first few samples. After this drop it looks fine. Even by letting thread 1 complete before running thread 3, this apparent drop is still there. Apologies for the length of code snippet (I've removed the thread that writes to file), but I felt removing code would just prompt questions. • Update View at runtime in Android

  The example is pretty straightforward: i want to let the user know about what the app is doing by just showing a text (canvas.drawText()). Then, my first message appears, but not the other ones. I mean, i have a "setText" method but it doesn't updates. onCreate(Bundle bundle) { super.onCreate(bundle); setContentView(splash); // splash is the view class loadResources(); splash.setText("this"); boundWebService(); splash.setText("that"): etc(); splash.setText("so on"); } The view's text drawing works by doing just a drawText in onDraw();, so setText changes the text but doesn't show it. Someone recommended me replacing the view with a SurfaceView, but it would be alot of trouble for just a couple of updates, SO... how the heck can i update the view dinamically at runtime? It should be quite simple, just showing a text for say 2 seconds and then the main thread doing his stuff and then updating the text... Thanks! Update: I tried implementing handler.onPost(), but is the same story all over again. • VRF Internet Gateway Multiple External IP's 1 Internal IP to AWS

  Trying to setup VRF for the first time and its not working for me even though I keep reading everything online. IP's are different to real life. I have an Internet connection which I can ping to my router in the current setup below 195.45.73.22 I have a block of ip addresses 195.45.121.0/27 I want to setup multiple VPN's to AWS so need to have multiple external ip's thus the block of IP addresses. I have setup the 2nd and 3rd IP address but can not ping them from external. Any help would be grateful.   I'm trying to get the graph-models to work (from django-command extensions) on Snow Leopard. It requires pygraphviz, which I installed via macports.   Is ServerManager module available on Windows 7 Ultimate ? I think (but I'm not sure because I never looked at output before) the PS script that I have worked before but after some problems with IIS7 installation it stopped working. Following script import-module servermanager fails with error Import-Module : The specified module 'servermanager' was not loaded because no valid module file was found in any module directory. At line:1 char:14 + import-module <<<< servermanager + CategoryInfo : ResourceUnavailable: (servermanager:String) [Import-Module], FileNotFoundException + FullyQualifiedErrorId : Modules_ModuleNotFound,Microsoft.PowerShell.Commands.ImportModuleCommand I found recommendation to run Dism.exe /Online /Enable-Feature /FeatureName:ServerManager-PSH-Cmdlets on my machine but it also fails with error Feature name ServerManager-PSH-Cmdlets is unknown.
