    I make some class. This class search some artist and return picture. After than I go to my class with player , where I create an instance of class and call the method and is passed artist. The problem I'm having is that I don't seem to be able to access the control. It's not available directly via this.MySubMultiview.     Hi all. I'm trying to get the green box that appears on the second click of a tri-state checkbox to be red, and also to fill up the box. I found an article here that demonstrates a little bit about using templates to do this: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/wpf/thread/98cf8a65-f4ca-4ff5-9851-c2989b91a013 However, I can't figure out how to interpret all that. I only understand a few of the things in that template and don't know how to get my red box. Can anyone help, and also tell me how you knew what to do?

  • OnDataBinding firing before OnLoad of a CustomGridViewControl in a UserControl?

    Hi, I have a CustomGridViewControl that is on a UserControl, the UserControl is loaded outside of the Page_Init when a treeview in the page is clicked that changes the view, than on subsequent postbacks the UserControl is loaded in Page_Init. The custom gridview is bound to a dataview that is dynamically retrieved. Problem is that the OnDataBinding of the CustomGridView is firing before the OnLoad of the CustomGridView, which is causing me to not be able to get embedded resource urls. Any suggestions? Thanks!

    Anyone know of a good book on Game Interface Design (not game play mechanics; the actual UI). I'm particular interested in theories of cognition, and how game interfaces are designed to allow the enduser efficient communication with the game (whether it in FPS, RTS, or so on). In a modern game, the amount of information conveyed to the user, the amount of choices the user can make; and the support for the user to make said decisions is simply astounding (think UIs for Starcraft II / WoW). Any insights into this would be greatly appreciated.

  • What method can I override in GridViewHeaderRowPresenter to prevent it from drawing some columns?

    The thing is that I created a custom column that inherits from GridViewColumn, and I added a Visibility dependency property to it. Now I want to create a custom GridViewHeaderRowPresenter, that does not draw the columns when their visibility is hidden or collapsed, but other than the OnRender() method, I can't think of anything else. Thanks. Btw, the reason I'm doing this is because removing or adding columns doesn't work like we would expect it (some specs for our app) and I believe what I'm trying to do here would work if pulled out correctly.

  • WYSIWYG-editor with "add custom html feature" and secure (validated) html output?

    I've been looking into some of the WYSIWYG editors (TinyMCE, FCKEditor, etc.) and they all seem to offer a lot of options. However, one vital feature that seems to lack is a simple "add custom html" option which would allow the user to input any of these embed-snippets you find all around the web these days, for example a youtube video. This is different than a "edit html/source" feature as that requires actual knowledge of html and there is the risk of the user writing invalid code. Another issue that I couldn't find much about is the output html. How would I make sure that this output causes no security invulnerabilities? Even when the user has the ability to add his own html? So, basically, is there an open source WYSIWYG editor which covers these 2 features?

  • Labelsize appears bigger in VB.Net

    I'm trying to stack a few lists on top of each other. But the label.size.height appears to be bigger then the label itself. When i set the borderstyle to fixedsingle, i see the border around the text. But the height is bigger, so there comes a space between one label and the next. I have tried to set margin and padding to 0 without result. Exemple: label.size.height return 23, when the height actually is something around 15. Does someone knows how i get the right size? Edit: When i explicitly set the height of the lable, the problem is solved. Is this some problem with autosize?

The textblocks need to support wrapping, the listbox should not expand, and there should be no horizontal scrollbar. Here's the code I have so far. Also, if you add a few more items to the listbox (just cut and paste in XamlPad) causing the vertical scrollbar to appear, the width of the textblocks do not resize to the vertical scrollbar. How do I keep the textblocks inside the listbox, with or without the vertical scrollbar?

    I was using something like public int Test(System.Windows.Forms.ListBox.ObjectCollection Colecction) { } With this I want to pass just the ObjectCollection of the control, to sort, add and delete elements without passing the entire control, but someone told me that, this way of calling the collection, actualy, create an entire ListBox, making it a worst decition, than, passing a ListBox as a parameter. Is it true? An if, what's the best way of working whit the collection?

    Hi! I want to create editable combo box with the following properties: 1. Bind the text property to my data model. 2. The data model may override the changes in the GUI, even in Selection changed. E.g. I can choose from 1, 2, 3 I choose 2, but some component down under changes it to 3. 3. Update the data model on the following events: 1. Selection Changed 2. Lose focus 3. Enter pressed (should behave the same as lost focus). I've been able to create such control, but it's pretty ugly (using many hacks) and I hoped there's a simpler way… Thanks in advance

    Quick question: You are building a setup for your application. The application contains a custom control developed by you, which will be shared across multiple applications. How should you package the custom control? Package the control in a Merge Module (.msm) and add the .msm file to a Windows Installer project. Package the control into a cabinet project (.cab) and add the .cab file to a Windows Installer project. Create a separate directory for the control and then package it in a Windows Installer project along with the rest of the project files. Package the control as a Web setup project and create a link to that project from the Windows Installer project. Any ideas?

  • Input string was not in correct format.

    Hi Experts, I had a Ribbon like custom control. I created an application using this control. These applications work fine until I change the system number format. They crashes if I change the system number format like below: Current Format = English (United State) Decimal symbol = ',' Digit group symbol = '.' When I run applications, they throw an exception "Input string not in Correct format". . Some other applications specify the Exception's message = "Input string '0,2,0,2' was not a correct format", so I think in Wpf ES's xaml files, we may declare some properties i.e Padding, Margin like "0,2,0,2" = that will cause errors with the system number format above. I have note that this error only occurs in Windows Vista, it does not occurs on Windows XP. I do not know why?     Hello, I want to create an custom control (descendant of TRichEdit). I simply want add some text above the editfield. I've created my own control and I override the constructor to create a TLabel for the caption. It works, but my problem: How is it possible to move the label above the richedit? When I set Top := -5 the label begins to disappaer. Here's the code of the constructor: constructor TDBRichEditExt.Create(AOwner: TComponent); begin inherited; lblCaption := TLabel.Create(self); lblCaption.Parent := parent; lblCaption.Caption := 'Header'; lblCaption.Top := -5; end; I think it's logic that the label disappaers since the richedit is the parent. I've tried lblCaption.Parent := self.parent; To make the form which owns the richedit the parent - but this dosn't work... How could I achieve this? Thank you all!
