  • Outlook unable to synchronize SharePoint library - error 0x80004005

    We have one large library (~10 GB) on SharePoint that cannot be synchronized with Outlook, even if you only attempt to synch one of the smaller sub folders in the library. Other libraries (or other library sub folders) work fine with Outlook. This is with MOSS 2007 SP1 and Outlook 2007 SP2. The error is: Task 'SharePoint' reported error (0x80004005): 'An error occurred either in Outlook or SharePoint. Contact the SharePoint site administrator.' Reproducing the error Open up the large SharePoint document library in Internet Explorer From the Actions menu, select Connect to Outlook Select Allow on the stssync: security warning that pops up Outlook automatically tries an initial sync and sync status immediately shows the above error. Update 1: I verified the same issue occurs on Windows XP SP3 with IE 6 using Outlook 2007 SP2 and the same SharePoint library (it was originally tested on Windows 7). The issue is definitely related to the library or Outlook. Update 2: Using stsadm I exported the site with this large document library (8.6 GB 15,000 items) and imported it on to a development system. The result is the same on the development system - multiple clients are unable to connect Outlook to the library and get the 0x80004005 error above.

It showing me bash: javac: command not found when I try to compile my classes. But when I checked my class in '/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.6.0/bin .'I found my javac there. Then I checked javac with the help of command ./javac i got ERROR..     Hello, I keep getting the "sorry, the maximum allowed clients from your host (10) are already connected" error whenever I try to transfer a large number of files. At first I thought it's a filezilla bug, however I get the same error basically with every FTP client I've tried, including Total Commander under Wine. I do not get that error using Windows. I did try to limit maximum allowed connections for Filezilla, both in server settings and in global settings, it didnt change anything. I did try to switch between passive and active modes (not sure if it's related at all, just last desperate attempt), and it didnt change anything either. When I try to use native ftp client (not sure how is it called, the one in Places - Connect to a server) I get abstract "connection refused" error every time I transfer large number of files. Connection is refused for separate particular files, if I click "Ignore" each time the rest of files are transfered perfectly well, so I assume it's the very same error. Anything I could do? This really drives me mad, transfering large numbers of files is a part of my everyday job... P.S. and this happens with many different FTP servers. Also I dont get this error in Windows. So I assume it's not a server problem. P.P.S. I am aware of similar question here, the answer provided just didn't solve it to me.

    I have 2 Windows XP boxen: A (running XP SP3) and B (running XP SP2). I'm using Remote Desktop to connect from A to B. When I connect, I get the login screen (which is slow to respond to keyboard/mouse input), and after logging in, I get the following: Fatal Error (Error Code: 5) Your Remote Desktop session is about to end. This computer might be low on virtual memory. Close your other programs, and then try connecting to the remote computer again. If the problem continues, contact your network administrator or technical support. I've seen one way to (sometimes) get in by opening a second RDP session to the same box [1], and if I wait long enough sometimes it will go ahead and log in anyway. Is there something broken/missing on the PC I'm trying to remote in to? Edited in reply to djangofan: There's nobody listed under "Lock pages in memory". When the double login trick works, a glance at Task Manager shows plenty of free memory, 800MB available out of 1.5 GB. (Performance tab, Physical memory) For what it's worth, this happens consistently after a reboot. What sort of exact info would be useful?     I've searched around but i'm having no luck with some peculiar behavior with a flash archive. I'm using HP Server Automation 9.14 to deploy the OS. I'm creating a Solaris 10 flash archive to create a snapshot default build in our environment. I create the flash archive with # flar create -c -S -n g8-solaris10-u10 g8-solaris10-u10.flar It seems to create the file without any problems (exit status 0). When deploying to a new system (same hardware), it extracts to a point and then bails. The last error in the log I can see is Extracted 2047.00 MB ( 82% of 2488.98 MB archive) ERROR: Could not read file (172.27.118.100:/media/opsware/sunos/flar/g8-solaris10-u10.flar ERROR: Errors occurred during the extraction of flash archive. The file /tmp/flash_errors contains the list of errors encountered ERROR: Could not extract Flash archive ERROR: Flash installation failed The error log contained the following message cannot receive new filesystem stream: invalid backup stream A previous version of this flash archive (1.8gb) worked ok, so I suspect size may be a factor. The source system (the one the flash archive is an image of) is an HP BL460C GEN8 some more info below.     I have a usb keyboard which was working perfectly till now (about a year since i have been regularly using ubuntu). It suddenly stopped working. It stopped working when I connected a USB HDD. Now the keyboard works randomly .. working for a while and then stops working for a longer time.     I'm experiencing "not enough space" error when trying to create system image to a USB hard drive: Detailed error: ERROR - A Volume Shadow Copy Service operation error has occurred: (0x8004231f) Insufficient storage available to create either the shadow copy storage file or other shadow copy data. Blah, blah... There is not enough disk space to create the volume shadow copy on the storage location. Make sure that, for all volumes to be backup up, the minimum required disk space for shadow copy creation is available. This applies to both the backup storage destination and volumes included in the backup. Minimum requirement: For volumes less than 500 megabytes, the minimum is 50 megabytes of free space. For volumes more than 500 megabytes, the minimum is 320 megabytes of free space. Recommended: At least 1 gigabyte of free disk space on each volume if volume size is more than 1 gigabyte. ERROR - A Volume Shadow Copy Service operation error has occurred: (0x8004231f) Insufficient storage available to create either the shadow copy storage file or other shadow copy data. I'd tried both - PowerShell wbAdmin start backup -backupTarget:E: -include:C: -allCritical -quiet and via Control Panel - File History button Clearly both EFI and Windows Recovery Environment partitions don't meet requirements coming from System Image tool (pic below) On top of that all system partitions are now shown as 100% free in Disk Management, it's disturbing but far from the actual state. My question is - hot to create System Image in Windows 8.1?

    I have this weird issue on my Mac OS X 10.7.5 /Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.7/include/python2.7/Python.h:33:10: fatal error: 'stdio.h' file not found What caused the above error? This error has been bugging me and i can't install mysql-python as i'm stuck with this step. I'm using Python 2.7.3. Things like Google App Engine ( python ), python script, tornado generally works on my mac. But not mysql-python. I've install MySQL using the dmg image and have copied the mysql folder to /usr/local/ How do i fix this? ======UPDATE====== I've ran the command, and tried to install mysql-python by running sudo python setup.py install.   • Failing Windows Updates with Error Code 800719e4

    On a number of Vista machines I have now come across the same error - when installing updates everything works fine, until it after it reboots and the rolls back during step 3. On all occasions (where a simple retry hasn't worked) the error code has been 800719e4. On my own laptop I have so far tried the following:- Installed the updates one by one manually - I started on the smallest and one by one have worked towards the largest one which has left me with "Security Update for Windows (KB2286198)" that refuses to install. Renamed all the files in "C:\Windows\Logs\CBS" to "xxx.old" where xxx was the original name with windows update turned off - no change Renamed all the folders in "C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution" in the same manner - no change Attempted to install it manually "Windows6.0-KB2286198-x86.msu" - no change Tried to un-install IE8 - doesn't work, rolls back at the end (Installing the IE9 Beta when it launched was what alerted me to the issue on this laptop) Ran a "Fix It" thing from the Microsoft Website - no help (Can't find the link now). Tried to recover from the disk - but alas my laptop only has a recovery partition (and was unservice packed original). Ran with nothing running on startup, and only MS services - again no change. Google is being useless with a load of posts trying to get me to call a telephone number with letters in (presumably an American number) The error code appears to mean error log full but no one has any idea which log!     I've set up subversion and apache on my server. If I browse to it through my webbrowser it works fine (http://svn.host.com/reposname). However, if I do a checkout on my machine I get the following error: Command: Checkout from http://svn.host.com/reposname, revision HEAD, Fully recursive, Externals included Error: Repository moved permanently to 'http://svn.host.com/reposname/'; please relocate I checked apache's error log, but it doesn't say anything. (it does now - see edit) My repositories are stored under: /var/www/svn/repos/ My website is stored under: /var/www/vhosts/x/... Here's the conf file for the subdomain: <Location /> DAV svn SVNParentPath /var/www/svn/repos/ AuthType Basic AuthName "Authorization Realm" AuthUserFile /var/www/svn/auth/svn.htpasswd Require valid-user </Location> Authentication works fine. Does anyone know what might be causing this? -- Edit So I restarted apache (again) and tried it again and now it give me an error message, but it doesn't really help.     I have set up a new PC and installed cygwin on it. Its windows 7 pro. I have already done a lot of research on this problem. I have already uninstalled and installed cygwin more than 5 times. Done rebaseall everytime I installed it. Checked for possible BLODA, I had notron antivirus, which I have removed. As an aside, I tried posting this question to cygwin mailing list after subscribing to it. But my mail does not appear on the list. I suppose they want address to be munged and I have no clue how to do it. supposedly, they are treating it as a spam. Any idea how I can post to the mailing list there.

  • Problem running mysql client, cannot connect to mysql server

    Edit3: Thanks for the help everyone. Sorry for wasting anybody's time, but it seems like a simple reboot solved it. I should've known better, but I just had the assumption that the "restart" solution is mostly valid just for MS Windows (no offense). I'll keep this in mind before I ask a question here again. I installed the mysql-client-5.0 and mysql-server-5.0 packages on Ubuntu 8.04, using sudo apt-get install. When I try to run the "mysql" command, I get the following error: ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2) To verify that mysql server is running, I tried this, and it does seem to be running, with the correct socket too: $ ps aux | grep mysql root 13388 0.0 0.0 1772 528 ? Okay, now I am really concerned about my Hard Disk data, but I have no clue if there is a problem with the HDD. My Question What all files do I need to submit for your reference? I have no idea how it is related to this issue, but I thought that I need to document this too. I really have a bad day here. 30-Sep-2012 11:00 AM IST: System still running fine, with the cabinet cover open, now for about an hour. 30-Sep-2012 12:00 PM IST: I shut down the system and closed the cabinet. Started the system, and it hung after giving the password. After a few minutes, got the same 0x000000f4 error. So, while it is in the upright position, fixed the Hard Disk cable and now it is booting fine. Waiting for more observations and answers.

  • Linux Uninstalling errors

    I want to uninstall back-track 5 so I deleted the partitions for back-track os. After deleting the partition that used to be for back-track becomes free space as in picture. But I can't delete that partition nor creating a new partition. I used G-Parted from hiren boot cd but it says there is no partition table, you need to create a partition table. But actually I have 5 partitions already. And I thought of restarting might fix it. But after showing post screen my laptop show grub error. I don't know what to do, and I tried to install back-track again to fix the problem but it also says that i do not have any partitions. I can only boot windows by passing through hiren boot cd. But most of the time My computer is not recognizing the external dvd drive, nor the internal so i have to restart again and again, hoping to catch the time computer recognize the dvd drive. Can I change the boot loader to correct the grub error? SOLVED : I have solved the grub error by writing MBR again by using EasyBCD But I still have the format error.

  • Windows 8.1 Update 1 Disk Usage 100%

    Background Information / Computer Specs I have a 14-inch Samsung Series 5 Ultra. Core i5 CPU, 750GB HDD, 8GB RAM, Intel HD Graphics 4000. I've had the computer for about 1.5 years with no major problems. Problem The issue appeared at the beginning of April this year, when I updated the OS to Windows 8.1 Update 1 (not from 8 to 8.1). After being on continually (except for at night, when I put it on sleep mode) for about 48 hours, the disk usage as seen by Task Manager hits 100%. When this happens, everything from opening/closing applications to typing and even bringing up the start screen by pressing the Windows key becomes extremely slow. The only way to make the disk usage decrease is to restart the computer. Then the problem repeats. I've used my current laptop (as well as my previous laptops) this way -- putting it on sleep mode at night and restarting it only when Windows needs to install updates -- for a long time. So I know the 100% disk usage is not due to the way I use the computer. The thing that causes the spike varies. Sometimes it's System, sometimes it's one of the various applications I installed (e.g. Chrome, Evernote, Spotify, Wunderlist, iTunes, etc.), and sometimes it's Antimalware Service Executable, etc. Tried Solutions I think I tried almost every solution out there for this problem: Running the check disk command (chkdsk /b /f /v /scan c:) from Admin Command Prompt Running Windows Memory Diagnostic Disabling Superfetch and Windows Search from services.msc Running "Fix problems with Windows Update" from Control Panel -- Troubleshooting Updating and rolling back the graphics driver (Intel HD 4000) Disabling "Use hardware acceleration when available" from Chrome settings Disabling Intel Rapid Storage Technology Running the SFC /SCANNOW command as recommended here Running a quick scan & a full scan from Windows Defender (no threats found) Taking the hard drive out and putting it back Refreshing the computer, from the Update and recovery -- Recovery option in Windows settings NONE of the above worked for me. I was about to give up but then noticed that one of the main culprits of the disk usage spike, as shown in the "Disk Activity" section of the Resource Monitor, was C:\System (pagefile.sys). I googled around and found that one of the recommended solutions was to disable pagefile. I then went to **Control Panel -- System and Security -- System -- Advanced system settings -- Advanced tab -- Performance settings -- Advanced tab -- "Change" under Virtual memory and discovered that the number for "Currently allocated" at the bottom was 1280MB, although the number for "Recommended" was 4533MB. I immediately changed it to 4533MB and checked my family members' computers to see what the numbers were like. All of theirs had a currently allocated space that was only slightly smaller than the recommended space. See screenshot below: This might fix the problem. I'll have to wait a couple more days.But if it doesn't, what in the world should I do next? I'm guessing the hard drive isn't failing because This computer is less than 2 years old; and Speccy says that the status of the HDD is good. Update 5/27/2014 The "4533MB" solution did not work. I had to reboot the computer about 30 minutes ago because the disk usage again hit 100%. When I opened Resource Monitor the C:\System (pagefile.sys) again was shown to be the culprit. I have now disabled pagefile entirely via the same window shown above in the screenshot. The number for "currently allocated" is now 0MB. Will update again in a couple days, or if the problem occurs again, whichever comes sooner.

    I have a DLL that I would like to install into the Global Assembly Cache so that it can be referenced from multiple locations. I have a File declaration with the Assembly attribute set to ".net" but when the installation tries to install the DLL into the GAC, I get the following error (I have tided it up a bit to make it more readable): MSI (s) (58:38) [19:14:31:031]: Product: MyProductName 1.01 -- Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly  'Compass,   version="1.0.0.0",   culture="neutral",   publicKeyToken="392B26B760D48103",   processorArchitecture="MSIL"'. HRESULT: 0x80131043. assembly interface:       IAssemblyCacheItem, function:             Commit, component: {53AEE63B-F356-4D4F-8D61-EB0640A6E160} I have hunted around to find out what this means and the error relates to FUSION_E_UNEXPECTED_MODULE_FOUND.
