    I'm having problems with cache, I think. I have a website in Joomla, and I have some .css (layout.css, position.css, .... ) and I have at home of the website, 3 buttons, I tested in localhost, and when I see the home well, I upload everything to production, to my server. Now, I just edited some styles of these buttons, for example, the width, in order to see them better...but I'm having a problem with the cache, because sometimes I see them with new changes, but other times I see with the old styles.....I realized that this happens especially with chrome Could you help me, please?   • Jquery / PHP - pre-loading next page before navigating to it.

    Hey all Using jQuery, is there a way to prevent going to the next page until the animation has finished AND the next page has completely loaded (including images)? The code below works but it is a bit clunky. You can see what I am trying to achieve here: http://bit.ly/aOeYgE The first three or so pages work. But when you click to go to the homepage a few times (after it's cached) you will see that it jumps, and the animation isn't very smooth. As you can see with the code below, the height is immediately set to 0, then when the page has loaded the height is set to 500px.   • Wanting to edit a google maps info bubble

    I have to edit an info bubble on a website to help someone out. The site is already online and i dont have the ftp login details so i cant download the files and use them locally to test it. So im having some issues with inserting a logo on the top of the bubble, like a header. Im also having problems with the code needed to add 'to here' and 'from here' directions at the bottom of the bubble. Everything else is plain text in the middle of these 2 objects, so thats easy. Can anyone help me with the header pic and directions code?

  • Can I use a Google Appliance/Mini to crawl and index sites I don't own?

    Maybe this is a stupid question, but... I am working with this company and they said they needed to get "permission" to crawl other people's sites. They have a Google Search Appliance And some Google Minis and want to point them at other sites to aggregate content. The end result will be something like a targeted search engine. (All the indexed sites relate to a specific topic) The only thing they will be doing is: Indexing Content from the other sites/domains Providing search functionality on their own site that searches the indexed content (like Google, displaying summaries and not the full content) The search results will provide links back to the original content Their intent is not malicious in nature, and is to provide a single site/resource for people to reference on their given topic. Is there anything illegal or fishy about this process?

    That is detect when the user makes web part changes and selects to exit editing the page. I want to be able to capture a page event, then create a SharePoint task to instruct a user to translate that page to another language (note that MOSS and variations is not an option because the client wants to use the free version of SharePoint). So the customer wants essentially the same WSS site in multiple languages.

There is no error output to the browser (debug is turned on) and nothing in the launcher's log for my app. Is this possible to do ?

    hi, I am reading a "table" in Python in GAE that has 1000 rows and the program stops because the time limit is reached. (So it takes at least 20 seconds.)( Is that possible that GAE is that slow?   • Google app engine: Poor Performance with JDO + Datastore

    I have a simple data model that includes USERS: store basic information (key, name, phone # etc) RELATIONS: describe, e.g. a friendship between two users (supplying a relationship_type + two user keys) I'm getting very poor performance, for instance, if I try to print the first names of all of a user's friends. Say the user has 500 friends: I can fetch the list of friend user_ids very easily in a single query. But then, to pull out first names, I have to do 500 back-and-forth trips to the Datastore, each of which seems to take on the order of 30 ms. If this were SQL, I'd just do a JOIN and get the answer out fast. I understand there are rudimentary facilities for performing joins across un-owned relations in a relaxed implementation of JDO (as described at http://gae-java-persistence.blogspot.com) but they sound experimental and non-standard (e.g. my code won't work in any other JDO implementation). Is this really my best bet? Otherwise, how do people extract satisfactory performance from JDO/Datastore in this kind of (very common) situation? -Bosh

    I am using Google Apps Premier Edition. I want to create a disposable email address service and I want to catch all emails for a domain. This means that I should be able to catch all mails sent to an arbitrary userid and/or arbitrary domain and store them into a single Google Apps account. For example, in a single account I want to get all mails sent to: 1) [email protected] 2) [email protected] without requiring to do any extra configuration in Google Apps for abc or xyz. My app will download mails from this account and process accordingly. I have figured out that I could do (1) by specifying a catch all email address. Is the combination of both (1) and (2) possible?

  • GMap in iframe gets off-center

    I have a Google Map (API 2) that used to work fine as a standalone page. However, when I load the map page within an iframe (with Thickbox), the map gets off-center: normally it's centered over Germany and in the iframe it centers on Iran, instead. How to make the map center correctly? My guesses: The problem can result from the iframe loading time. I guess, that the script calculates window size basing on the iframe size when it's still loading.     Hey guys, I would like to write a small C++ app and run it on chrome using the native client API. I have a few questions though: 1) I compiled the examples on Ubuntu and ran the code on firefox but can't run it on chrome (using version 5.0.342.7 beta) Do I need to install something? An extension/plugin? 2) I can't find a single online application I could run? Links anyone, I want to see the power of this thing without having to compile the code locally.   • Google Analytics--My second profile to an existing domain not tracking

    Hey Guys, I created a second profile to my Analytics account to track SEO keywords. This is a second profile for my existing working domain. It has been 4 days and I still do not see any traffic on this secondary profile. The profile shows a Staus of "Unknown". But I do not see a way to validate it like you have to when you create your first profile and this should not be necessary for a profile to my existing domain. Any ideas what I am missing? Thanks!

  • intercepting http traffic to/from Google Chrome

    I use Fiddler for intercepting HTTP traffic when using IE or Firefox. Now that I'm using chrome for most of my day, I would like to be able to see the http traffic using something like Fiddler. What do chrome developers use ? I prefer something automatic like Fiddler but something that needs config, etc would also help. P.S : I'm on windows vista 64-bit HOME PREMIUM, if that's important.
