• Exchange server not serving mobile devices - how to troubleshoot?

  Our exchange server has suddenly stopped serving mobile devices. Attempts to connect result in our ActiveSync server returning HTTP 500. It is serving outlook clients fine. Our server is Windows 2003 SBS 6.5 SP2 There are no abnormal events in the system log. I ran the "Exchange ActiveSync with AutoDiscover" at https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/ I've notice an abnormality in the exchange properties, Log File Directory shows: Access denied. Facility: Win32 ID no: 80070005 Exchange System Manager As shown in the following image: I think it may be related to a recent issue we had here: http://serverfault.com/questions/40222/windows-server-2003-suddenly-unable-to-connect-to-anything We followed a procedure to reinstall TCP/IP: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/325356 I've run the "exchange activesync" connectivity test at testexchangeconnectivity.com: Attempting to Resolve the host name mail.immersive.com.au in DNS. Host successfully Resolved Additional Details IP(s) returned: 221.133.203.229 Testing TCP Port 443 on host mail.immersive.com.au to ensure it is listening/open. The port was opened successfully.   Hello, I have the following .Net code which takes two inputs. 1) A 128 bit base 64 encoded key and 2) the userid. It outputs the AES encrypted token.   This is my motherboard GA-M61PME-S2 (SATA upto 3.0 Gbps) and This is my Hard Disk Samsung hd502hi Capacity 500 GB Cache 16MB Disks / Heads 1 / 2 Interface SATA 3Gb/s Spindle Speed 5400 RPM Sustained Data Rate OD 100 MB/s Average Seek 8.9 ms Average Latency 5.56 ms Data Transfer Rate 300 MB/sec Weight 470 grams Power: Idle / Seek / R-W / Spin-up 3.9W / 4.8W / 5.1W / ~24W Acoustics (sound power) 2.2 / 2.7 Bel (idle / quiet seek / performance seek) When I copy things from one partition to another they transfer at a maximum of 30 MBps. However the drive supports upto 300 MBps right ? How do I increase the transfer speeds? P.S - Using Windows XP, All partitions are NTFS.

• How to set up dual quadro cards on RHEL 5.5?

  I have a RHEL 5 workstation with 2 nvidia Quadro FX4500 cards, with one display attached to each card. After doing a clean install of RHEL 5.5, the second display doesnt work (it worked ok in RHEL 5.2). Neither separate X screens nor Xinerama are working. The kernel version is 2.6.18-194.el5 I've tried nvidia drivers 185.18.36 (the ones that i was using on 5.2) and the latest 260.19.36 and neither works. • Looking for an open source email archiving application

  I'm looking for an open source application that will archive my email. It might do this by logging in to my POP3 account on a regular basis and copying the emails across, or it might just read my Unix mbox/maildir file/directory directly on the mail server. It must be open and it must run on Linux (or any open OS actually). Ideally, it would have a web interface, but this is not a major requirement. MXsense (http://www.mxsense.com/mxsense.html) seems to be pretty-much what I want, except it's not open. I have no requirement for MS Exchange support. Any suggestions? The rationale (maybe a bit silly) is that I run Linux exclusively and it's still doesn't have an email client that is anywhere close to MS Outlook in terms of awesomeness, so I find myself switching between mail clients often. I would feel better about this if I had an archive of my emails, so it wouldn't matter which mail client I was using this month.

As of now, when I open Sublime Text 2 for the first time, create a file and try to save it, the file location option defaults to: C:\Windows\System32 I would like to set the default save file location to my Desktop so that everytime I want to save a file, the File windows opens the Desktop view. • Need Help Setting Transparent Image to Clipboard

  I need help setting a transparent image to the clipboard. I keep getting "handle is invalid". Following is the specific code with the complete working project at ftp://missico.net/ImageVisualizer.zip. This is an image Debug Visualizer class library, but I made to run as executable for testing. (Note that window is a toolbox window and show in taskbar is set to false.) I was tired of having to perform a screen capture on the toolbox window, open with an image editor, and then deleting the background added due to the screen capture. So I thought I would quickly put the transparent image onto the clipboard. Well, the problem is...no transparency support for Clipboard.SetImage. Google to the rescue...not quite. This is what I have so far pulled from a number of sources. See the code for the main reference. My problem is the "invalid handle" when using CF_DIBV5. I imagine the problem is related to BITMAPV5HEADER and CreateDIBitmap. • Getting content from PHP: Trouble with POST and query.

  Apologies for my longest question on SO ever. I'm trying to interface with a php frontend for a mysql database in ROOT (a CERN framework in C++ for high energy physics analysis). To start off with, I tried to get this php interface to play nice with wget and curl first because I'm more familiar with them. The following command works: wget --post-data "hostname=localhost:3306&un=joeuser&pw=psswd&myquery=show_spazio_databases;" http://some.host.edu/log/log_query_matlab.php The results are: database1 database2 That's good. The mysql query is show databases but the space has been replaced with _spazio_, Italian for space. My only option is to downgrade my version since I'm not an admin to the server. Does my Client Access License an issue? Can I just downgrade my security update to match the one in the server? If there is would you please be kind enough to tell me how. ?

  I run MS Office 2010. I have all contacts from a previous Outlook 2010 saved in an Excel sheet. I have tried dozens of time to import, but when Outlooks is supposed to do the mapping of the columns I only have one column in my CSV-file: firstname;middlename;surname, etc. It means I cannot map the data correctly. I have tried saving in MS-DOS and Tab and it does not get better. I have tried saving on another computer and it does help either. ALso tried importing to Gmail with same result. Can anyone help?

• Execution plan different on two different Sql Servers

  On our sql server, a query takes 20 ms. If I look at the execution plan, parallelism is used, hash match, Bitmap create, ... a lot of images with two arrows pointing to the left. On sql server of a customer where our product runs, the same query takes 2500 ms. If I look at their execution plan, no parallelism or any of the things with arrows are used... I've been searching for a couple of days no why the query runs so much slower on their sql server. Is parallelism and all of the other things something that can be configured on their sql server? And how to you configure that? What are the dangers of using parallelism? Another strange thing is that on our server, the query needs some 1200 reads and 0 writes. On their sql server it needs 1.5 million reads and some 1500 writes. Why these writes when a read query is done?

We both love apple products, because of it's elegant design and yet powerful. But we can't yet afford mac laptops.. so we are looking for alternatives.
