  • Android Client : Web service - what's the correct SOAP_ACTION, METHOD_NAME, NAMESPACE, URL I should

    - by Hubert
    if I want to use the following Web service (help.be is just an example, let's say it does exist): http://www.help.be/webservice/webservice_help.php (it's written in PHP=client's choice, not .NET) with the following WSDL : <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <definitions xmlns="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/" name="webservice_help" targetNamespace="http://www.help.be/webservice/webservice_help.php" xmlns:tns="http://www.help.be/webservice/webservice_help.php" xmlns:impl="http://www.help.be/webservice/webservice_help.php" xmlns:xsd1="http://www.help.be/webservice/webservice_help.php" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:wsdl="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/" xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap/" xmlns:soapenc="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"> <portType name="webservice_helpPortType"> <operation name="webservice_help"> <input message="tns:Webservice_helpRequest"/> </operation> <operation name="getLocation" parameterOrder="input"> <input message="tns:GetLocationRequest"/> <output message="tns:GetLocationResponse"/> </operation> <operation name="getStationDetail" parameterOrder="input"> <input message="tns:GetStationDetailRequest"/> <output message="tns:GetStationDetailResponse"/> </operation> <operation name="getStationList" parameterOrder="input"> <input message="tns:GetStationListRequest"/> <output message="tns:GetStationListResponse"/> </operation> </portType> <binding name="webservice_helpBinding" type="tns:webservice_helpPortType"> <soap:binding style="rpc" transport="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/http"/> <operation name="webservice_help"> <soap:operation soapAction="urn:webservice_help#webservice_helpServer#webservice_help"/> <input> <soap:body use="encoded" namespace="http://www.help.be/webservice/webservice_help.php" encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"/> </input> </operation> <operation name="getLocation"> <soap:operation soapAction="urn:webservice_help#webservice_helpServer#getLocation"/> <input> <soap:body parts="input" use="encoded" namespace="http://www.help.be/webservice/webservice_help.php" encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"/> </input> <output> <soap:body parts="return" use="encoded" namespace="http://www.help.be/webservice/webservice_help.php" encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"/> </output> </operation> <operation name="getStationDetail"> <soap:operation soapAction="urn:webservice_help#webservice_helpServer#getStationDetail"/> <input> <soap:body parts="input" use="encoded" namespace="http://www.help.be/webservice/webservice_help.php" encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"/> </input> <output> <soap:body parts="return" use="encoded" namespace="http://www.help.be/webservice/webservice_help.php" encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"/> </output> </operation> <operation name="getStationList"> <soap:operation soapAction="urn:webservice_help#webservice_helpServer#getStationList"/> <input> <soap:body parts="input" use="encoded" namespace="http://www.help.be/webservice/webservice_help.php" encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"/> </input> <output> <soap:body parts="return" use="encoded" namespace="http://www.help.be/webservice/webservice_help.php" encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"/> </output> </operation> </binding> <message name="Webservice_helpRequest"/> <message name="GetLocationRequest"> <part name="input" type="xsd:array"/> </message> <message name="GetLocationResponse"> <part name="return" type="xsd:array"/> </message> <message name="GetStationDetailRequest"> <part name="input" type="xsd:array"/> </message> <message name="GetStationDetailResponse"> <part name="return" type="xsd:string"/> </message> <message name="GetStationListRequest"> <part name="input" type="xsd:array"/> </message> <message name="GetStationListResponse"> <part name="return" type="xsd:string"/> </message> <service name="webservice_helpService"> <port name="webservice_helpPort" binding="tns:webservice_helpBinding"> <soap:address location="http://www.help.be/webservice/webservice_help.php"/> </port> </service> </definitions> What is the correct SOAP_ACTION, METHOD_NAME, NAMESPACE, URL I should use below ? I've tried with this : public class Main extends Activity { /** Called when the activity is first created. */ private static final String SOAP_ACTION_GETLOCATION = "getLocation"; private static final String METHOD_NAME_GETLOCATION = "getLocation"; private static final String NAMESPACE = "http://www.help.be/webservice/"; private static final String URL = "http://www.help.be/webservice/webservice_help.php"; TextView tv; @SuppressWarnings("unchecked") @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.main); tv = (TextView)findViewById(R.id.TextView01); // -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SoapObject request_location = new SoapObject(NAMESPACE, METHOD_NAME_GETLOCATION); request_location.addProperty("login", "login"); // -> string required request_location.addProperty("password", "password"); // -> string required request_location.addProperty("serial", "serial"); // -> string required request_location.addProperty("language", "fr"); // -> string required (available « fr,nl,uk,de ») request_location.addProperty("keyword", "Braine"); // -> string required // -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SoapSerializationEnvelope soapEnvelope = new SoapSerializationEnvelope(SoapEnvelope.VER11); //soapEnvelope.dotNet = true; // don't forget it for .NET WebServices ! soapEnvelope.setOutputSoapObject(request_location); AndroidHttpTransport aht = new AndroidHttpTransport(URL); try { aht.call(SOAP_ACTION_GETLOCATION, soapEnvelope); // Get the SAOP Envelope back and then extract the body SoapObject resultsRequestSOAP = (SoapObject) soapEnvelope.bodyIn; Vector XXXX = (Vector) resultsRequestSOAP.getProperty("GetLocationResponse"); int vector_size = XXXX.size(); Log.i("Hub", "testat="+vector_size); tv.setText("OK"); } catch(Exception E) { tv.setText("ERROR:" + E.getClass().getName() + ": " + E.getMessage()); Log.i("Hub", "Exception E"); Log.i("Hub", "E.getClass().getName()="+E.getClass().getName()); Log.i("Hub", "E.getMessage()="+E.getMessage()); } // -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- } } I'm not sure of the SOAP_ACTION, METHOD_NAME, NAMESPACE, URL I have to use? because soapAction is pointing to a URN instead of a traditional URL and it's PHP and not .NET ... also, I'm not sure if I have to use request_location.addProperty("login", "login"); of request_location.addAttribute("login", "login"); ? = <message name="GetLocationRequest"> <part name="input" type="xsd:array"/> What would you say ? Txs for your help. H. EDIT : Here is some code working in PHP - I simply want to have the same but in Android/JAVA : <?php ini_set("soap.wsdl_cache_enabled", "0"); // disabling WSDL cache $request['login'] = 'login'; $request['password'] = 'password'; $request['serial'] = 'serial'; $request['language'] = 'fr'; $client= new SoapClient("http://www.test.be/webservice/webservice_test.wsdl"); print_r( $client->__getFunctions()); ?><hr><h1>getLocation</h1> <h2>Input:</h2> <? $request['keyword'] = 'Bruxelles'; print_r($request); ?><h2>Result</h2><? $result = $client->getLocation($request); print_r($result); ?>

  • CSS three column layout, liquid center, no left-margin!

    - by moontear
Hi, I am all in favor of CSS based layouts, but this one I just can't figure out. With a table it is oh-so-easy: <html> <head><title>Three Column</title></head> <body> <p>Test</p> <table style="width: 100%; border: 1px solid black; min-height: 300px;"> <tr> <td style="border: 1px solid green;" colspan="3">Header</td> </tr> <tr> <td style="border: 1px solid green; width: 150px;" rowspan="2">Left</td> <td style="border: 1px solid yellow;">Content</td> <td style="border: 1px solid blue; width: 200px;" rowspan="2">Right</td> </tr> <tr> <td style="border: 1px solid fuchsia;">Additional stuff</td> </tr> <tr><td style="border: 1px solid green;" colspan="3">Footer</td></tr> </body> <html> Left is fixed width Right is fixed width Content is liquid Additional stuff sits beneath content Now here is the important part: "Left" may not exist. Again this is easy with the table. Delete the column and "Content" expands. Beautiful. I have looked through many examples (and "holy grails") of liquid and table less three-column CSS based layouts, but I have not found one which is not using some kind of margin-left for the middle column ("Content"). Any margin-left will suck once "Left" is gone as "Content" will just stay at it's place. I'm just about to switch to old school table based layout for this problem, so I'm hoping someone has some idea - I don't care about excess markup, wrappers and the like, I would just like to know how to solve this with plain CSS. Btw: look at how easy equal height columns are... Cheers PS: No CSS3 please

  • Using Flot's Bar Graph in an Android WebView with Highlighting

    - by Nicholi
The issue is unhighlighting bars which are no longer selected in a bar graph plotted by flot in a WebView on Android. Got no other issues drawing the actual graphs (which look beautiful for something so simple btw). I am not extremely knowledgeable in terms of javascript and web design/development but it seems little should have been needed, if it would just work!! :( I believe I'm following the Flot API correctly, if not someone please scream and yell at me. It seems to work just fine in a non-mobile browser at least. Hoping someone has done this before, but if not I've got the minimal necessary code to poke at your droids if inquiring minds would like to test. I've tested on two Nexus Ones (both 2.2.1), and have tried targeting with Andriod 1.5 and 2.2 SDKs (my intention is to target 1.5 if possible). I've been attempting to hack away at this for far too long on my own now. What happens: 1. Graph loads fine with bars. All bars unhighlighted. 2. Select a bar in graph, gets highlighted fine (and a tooltip is placed). 3. Select a different bar in graph, old bar is unhighlighted, old tooltip removed, new bar highlighted and tooltip placed (still no problems). 4. Click in the vast darkness of the graph which should then unhighlight the last bar... but it doesn't. I've tried disabling flot's autohighlight and manually doing it as well to no avail. Looking into flot itself and only getting down to drawOverlay() where the issue seems to begin... An even more disturbing bug(?) appears if the fill bar option is enabled in the graph, but I'd rather just forget about that for now. Also grabbed the latest version of flot from their svn (r290), but made no different from last public release (v0.6). As a complete guess I'm thinking it's an issue with WebKit's javascript implementation (or something specific to Nexus Ones, which wouldn't be so bad), but if there is any ugly hack to just get it to work I'm all ears. I've thrown the graph data directly into the html/js, rather than deal with showing all the code involved in the Java-javascript handler and callbacks. The simple html placed in 'assets/flot/test/' with jquery.js and jquery.flot.js: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8"> <script src="jquery.js"></script> <script src="jquery.flot.js"></script> <script id="source" language="javascript" type="text/javascript"> var lastItem = null; var plot = null; $(document).ready(function () { //window.testhandler.loadGraph(); // bind plotclick here $("#graphHolder").bind("plotclick", function (event, pos, item) { if (item) { var lastPoint = null; if (lastItem != null) lastPoint = lastItem.datapoint; if (!pointEquals(lastPoint, item.datapoint)) { //if (lastItem != null) // plot.unhighlight(lastItem.series, lastItem.datapoint); lastItem = item; $("#tooltip").remove(); //plot.highlight(item.series, item.datapoint); showTooltip(item.pageX, item.pageY, item.datapoint[1]); } } else if (lastItem != null) { plot.unhighlight(lastItem.series, lastItem.datapoint); // not unhighlighting anything //plot.unhighlight(); // doesn't work either, supposed to unhighlight everything lastItem = null; $("#tooltip").remove(); } }); GotGraph(); }); /** * Show a tooltip above bar in graph * @param {int} x Left coordinate of div * @param {int} y Top coordinate of div * @param {String} contents text to place in div */ function showTooltip(x, y, contents) { $('<div id="tooltip">' + contents + '</div>').css( { position: 'absolute', display: 'none', top: y, left: x, border: '1px solid #fdd', padding: '2px', 'background-color': '#fee', opacity: 0.80 }).appendTo("body").fadeIn(200); } /** * Draw the graph. • Can I mix declarative and programmatic layout in GWT 2.0?

    - by stuff22
I'm trying to redo an existing panel that I made before GWT 2.0 was released. The panel has a few text fields and a scrollable panel below in a VerticalPanel. What I'd like to do is to make the scrollable panel with UIBinder and then add that to a VerticalPanel Below is an example I created to illustrate this: public class ScrollTablePanel extends ResizeComposite{ interface Binder extends UiBinder<Widget, ScrollTablePanel > { } private static Binder uiBinder = GWT.create(Binder.class); @UiField FlexTable table1; @UiField FlexTable table2; public Test2() { initWidget(uiBinder.createAndBindUi(this)); table1.setText(0, 0, "testing 1"); table1.setText(0, 1, "testing 2"); table1.setText(0, 2, "testing 3"); table2.setText(0, 0, "testing 1"); table2.setText(0, 1, "testing 2"); table2.setText(0, 2, "testing 3"); table2.setText(1, 0, "testing 4"); table2.setText(1, 1, "testing 5"); table2.setText(1, 2, "testing 6"); } } then the xml: <ui:UiBinder xmlns:ui='urn:ui:com.google.gwt.uibinder' xmlns:g='urn:import:com.google.gwt.user.client.ui' xmlns:mail='urn:import:com.test.scrollpaneltest'> <g:DockLayoutPanel unit='EM'> <g:north size="2"> <g:FlexTable ui:field="table1"></g:FlexTable> </g:north> <g:center> <g:ScrollPanel> <g:FlexTable ui:field="table2"></g:FlexTable> </g:ScrollPanel> </g:center> </g:DockLayoutPanel> </ui:UiBinder> Then do something like this in the EntryPoint: public void onModuleLoad() { VerticalPanel vp = new VerticalPanel(); vp.add(new ScrollTablePanel()); vp.add(new Label("dummy label text")); vp.setWidth("100%"); RootLayoutPanel.get().add(vp); } But when I add the ScrollTablePanel to the VerticalPanel, only the first FlexTable (test1) is visible on the page, not the whole ScrollTablePanel. Is there a way to make this work where it is possible to mix declarative and programmatic layout in GWT 2.0?

  • Draw Circle on the Map once the application gets loaded

    - by TechGeeky
    Background:- In my application what is happening currently- Whenever I am opening the application, In the top half of the android screen, it draws a Map and in the bottom half of the android screen it show's a list view. And then as soon as the location gets changed, it draw's a Circle with the current location as the center of the circle and show's an image at the current location(center of circle). Everything is working fine till here- Problem Statement:- What I want is when the user opens my application, circle should get draw immediately on the Google Map (this is currently not happening, it draw's circle only on the location changed), without waiting for the location to get changed and without any image on the center of circle and then if the location get's changed, take the current location as the center of circle and draw the circle with an image at the center of circle. And this is my below code which fulfills the scenario that I mentioned in my Background- How can I make this code to work the way I wanted to? hope I am clear enough in my question. Any suggestions will be appreciated. @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.activity_main); mapView = (MapView) findViewById(R.id.mapView); listView = (ListView) findViewById(R.id.mylist); locationManager = (LocationManager) getSystemService(Context.LOCATION_SERVICE); locationListener = new GPSLocationListener(mapView); locationManager.requestLocationUpdates( LocationManager.GPS_PROVIDER, 35000, 10, locationListener); mapView.setStreetView(true); mapView.setBuiltInZoomControls(true); mapController = mapView.getController(); mapController.setZoom(14); } Location Update class where I am sending the request to Overlay to draw the circle private class GPSLocationListener implements LocationListener { MapOverlay mapOverlay; public GPSLocationListener(MapView mapView) { } @Override public void onLocationChanged(Location location) { if (location != null) { GeoPoint point = new GeoPoint( (int) (location.getLatitude() * 1E6), (int) (location.getLongitude() * 1E6)); mapController.animateTo(point); mapController.setZoom(15); if (mapOverlay == null) { mapOverlay = new MapOverlay(this,android.R.drawable.star_on); List<Overlay> listOfOverlays = mapView.getOverlays(); listOfOverlays.add(mapOverlay); } mapOverlay.setPointToDraw(point); mapView.invalidate(); } } @Override public void onProviderDisabled(String provider) { } @Override public void onProviderEnabled(String provider) { } @Override public void onStatusChanged(String provider, int status, Bundle extras) { } } Class in which circle is getting drawn. class MapOverlay extends Overlay { private GeoPoint pointToDraw; int[] imageNames=new int[6]; private Point mScreenPoints; private Bitmap mBitmap; private Paint mCirclePaint; public MapOverlay(GPSLocationListener gpsLocationListener, int currentUser) { imageNames[0]=currentUser; mCirclePaint = new Paint(Paint.ANTI_ALIAS_FLAG); mCirclePaint.setColor(0x30000000); mCirclePaint.setStyle(Style.FILL_AND_STROKE); mBitmap = BitmapFactory.decodeResource(getResources(),imageNames[0]); mScreenPoints = new Point(); } public void setPointToDraw(GeoPoint point) { pointToDraw = point; } public GeoPoint getPointToDraw() { return pointToDraw; } @Override public boolean draw(Canvas canvas, MapView mapView, boolean shadow, long when) { super.draw(canvas, mapView, shadow); if (pointToDraw == null) { return true; } mScreenPoints = mapView.getProjection().toPixels(pointToDraw, mScreenPoints); int totalCircle=5; int radius=40; int centerimagesize=35; for (int i = 1; i <= totalCircle; i ++) { canvas.drawCircle(mScreenPoints.x,mScreenPoints.y, i*radius, mCirclePaint); } canvas.drawBitmap(mBitmap, (mScreenPoints.x-(centerimagesize/2)),(mScreenPoints.y-(centerimagesize/2)), null); super.draw(canvas,mapView,shadow); return true; } }

  • Android: How to obtain Mac Address of WiFi Network Interface?

    - by Gubatron
It seems the java.net.NetworkInterface implementation of android does not have a byte[] getHardwareAddress() method http://developer.android.com/reference/java/net/NetworkInterface.html I've found several forums of people trying to do this with no definitive answer, I need to get a somewhat cross-device UUID, so I can't rely on phone numbers or in ANDROID_ID (which can be overwritten and which I think depends on the user having a google account) http://developer.android.com/reference/android/provider/Settings.Secure.html#ANDROID_ID In linux you can use ifconfig or read from /proc/net/arp and you can easily get the Hardware address. Is there a file in android that I can read? There has to be a way to get this address since it's shown in the "Settings About Phone Status" of the phone.

  • How to delete SMS from inbox in android programmatically?

    - by dmyung
Just thought I'd ping this community to see if there's any knowledge on this issue. On android phones SMS messages registered to applications also get sent to the device's inbox. However to prevent clutter, it'd be nice to be able to remove app specific SMS mesg's from the inbox to reduce the potential overflow of those messages. Questions on other google groups on getting a definitive answer on a programmatic way to delete SMS messages from the android inbox don't seem to be pressing. So the scenario: Android App startup. register SMS message types X,Y and Z messages P,Q,X,Y,Z stream in over the course of time, all deposited in inbox Android app detects receipt of X,Y,Z (presumably as part of the program interrupt event) process X,Y,Z Desirement!!! X,Y,Z are deleted from android inbox Has it been done? Can it be done?

  • How to set Android Google Maps API v2 map to show whole world map?

    - by Joao
I am developing an android application that uses a google map in the background. When I start the application, I want to display a map of the hole word. According to the android google maps API v2: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/android/views the way to set a specific zoom value is "CameraUpdateFactory.zoomTo(float)" and the same api https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/android/reference/com/google/android/gms/maps/CameraUpdateFactory#zoomTo(float) tells that the minimum argument to this function is 2. but when I call the function: mMap.moveCamera(CameraUpdateFactory.zoomTo(2)); The viewport of the world map is just a little bigger than Australia... How can I display the entire world map at once? Thanks in advance, João

  • What kind of icon should I deploy with my Android 1.x and 2.x application?

    - by licorna
The thing is this, in Android 1.5 and 1.6 we had the Icon Design Guidelines. In this guide there are specifications for application icons. Every application should conform to this. However, in recent Android versions (2.0 and 2.1) icons have changed from the old to this new flat 2D style. Every icon in Nexus One has this style, so not even Google is conforming to the guideline. To see the differences between high and low density icons see this image and compare Evernote icon with the rest. I've been able to use different icons by using two directories with different icons: drawables-hdpi/icon.png and drawables/icon.png, BUT not every Android 2.x is going to be HDPI and not every 1.x Android device is going to be low pixel density. So the question is: Should I deploy different icons for different Android platform version within my apk file? and if I should, How do I do it?

  • How to lock the Screen customly? Just like WaveSecure in Android

    - by HackNone
I want to do a demo just like WaveSecure, which win Android Develop Challenge 2 with a third place. Now I have a problem in locking the screen customly, so I want to know how WaveSecure achieve its locking function, as the following picture show: http://goo.gl/XlPP When the mobile is locked, WaveSecure can require customer to input their own password. So I think WaveSecure must replace Android's original locking function. And I also google it, but I didn't find anything helpful. I only find two packages may be helpful. They are: android.app.KeyguardManager android.os.PowerManager But after I reading the Android Docs, I still can't have an idea on it. Can you help me? Thx:)

  • google spreadsheet api from android: google-api-java-client or handmade?

    - by yetanothercoderu
For working with google spreadsheet api from android (2.2) - google suggests using google-api-java-client for android. For that you have to include 5 jars to your android application: guava-r09.jar google-http-client-extensions-android2-1.6.0-beta.jar google-api-client-extensions-android2-1.6.0-beta.jar google-http-client-1.6.0-beta.jar google-api-client-1.6.0-beta.jar and digging into google-api-java-client javadocs for fast-changing api. Does it worth the effort? in term of android specifics and device fragmentation? Isn't it reasonable to write your own simple http response parser or take small existing library like google-spreadsheet-lib-android ? Thanks! UPD: choosed google-api-java-client finally as it has all routine stuff (like parsing http, xml) out of box

  • Android: How to fade out search / home / menu / back buttons?

    - by user548472
Hallo, I'm using my Android (Archos 43) only as an extended display in an industrial application. I just need a single programm to display data received and send user inputs by bluetooth. This little programm should start directly after booting and should disable (fade out) the android-buttons (search, home, menu and back). That's my plan. Here's my problem: I know, there are some applications which can fade out these search/home/menu/back-buttons (like DeskClock or some videoplayers). But how does it work? Just using android:theme="@android:style/Theme.Light.NoTitleBar.Fullscreen" only disables the titlebar, not the 4 android-buttons. Thanks, Dennis

  • Anyone know how you can get a Google dev phone to make Android apps?

    - by Bobafett
Hi there, I am thinking about converting my web apps into Android apps to reach the Android market. I do not have an Android phone. Can someone tell me how I can possibly get a Google developer phone (other than going to Google I/O, etc)? I realize this is somewhat of a ridiculous request but I have read blogs of people being enticed by google and offered a free phone to convert their web apps into Android apps. So I figure there is no harm in asking. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks I am also wondering what the cost of the developer phone is once you pay your $25 to enter the android market place as a developer through the developer account.

  • Android: debug certificate expired error

    - by Bill Osuch
I started up Eclipse today, created a new project, and immediately had an error before I had changed a single line: Error generating final archive: Debug Certificate expired on 11/12/11 When installed, the Android SDK generates a "debug" signing certificate for you in a file called "debug.keystore". Eclipse uses this certificate rather than forcing you to create a new one for every project. In older versions of Eclipse, the certificate was only valid for 365 days, but as I understand it the default has been changed to 30 years in newer versions. If for whatever reason you don't want to upgrade Eclipse, you can manually delete the certificate to for Eclipse to generate a new one. You can find the location in Preferences -> Android -> Build -> Default debug keystore (mine was in C:\Users\myUserName\.android\); just delete the "debug.keystore" file, then go back into Eclipse and Clean the project to generate a new file.
