• WPF problem modify style of images in multiple Button Templates

  I'm trying to create a control panel for a video camera, the panel has buttons for up, down, left and right etc. Each camera function up, down, left and right is represented by three images (see code below) for the left side, middle and right side. The control panel is circular so the corner images kind of overlap (its complicated to explain this without a visual). When I click on up for example I have to hide the initial three images (leftside, middle and right side) and display another three images for left , middle and right that indicate that the button is pressed. I am achieving this by having a grid inside a button template. The problem I have is that for the corner images for the control there are really four images that represent this. For example for the top left corner the four images would be represent 1. Top not clicked. 2. Top Clicked and 3. Left Not clicked and 4. Left Clicked. My problem is if I need to make the images contained within the Top button have precedence when the top control is clicked or the images in the left button have precedence when the left button is clicked. So it's like I want to modify the left button's image visible property when the top button is clicked and vise versa. This is really difficult to explain so I apologize if it makes little sense but I can email the source code on request if anyone is interested in my predicament. <Grid> <Canvas> <!--<StackPanel>--> • Introduction to Extended Events

  For those fighting with all the Extended Event terminology, let's step back and have a small overall Introduction to Extended Events. This post will give you a simplified end to end view through some of the elements in Extended Events. Before we start, let’s review the first Extented Events that we are going to use: -          Events: The SQL Server code is populated with event calls that, by default, are disabled. Adding events to a session enables those event calls. Once enabled, they will execute the set of functionality defined by the session. -          Target: This is an Extended Event Object that can be used to log event information. Also it is important to understand the following Extended Event concept: -          Session: Server Object created by the user that defines functionality to be executed every time a set of events happen.   It’s time to write a small “Hello World” using Extended Events. This will help understand the above terms. We will use: -          Event sqlserver. error_reported: This event gets fired every time that an error happens in the server. -          Target package0.asynchronous_file_target: This target stores the event data in disk. -          Session: We will create a session that sends all the error_reported events to the ring buffer. Before we get started, a quick note: Don’t run this script in a production environment. This Extended Objects actions get executed before events are published (stored in buffers to be transferred to the targets). Currently they are used additional data (like the TSQL Statement related to an event, the session, the user) or generate a mini dump.   -          Predicates: Predicates express are logical expressions that specify what predicates to fire (E.g. only listen to errors with a severity greater than 16). This are composed of two Extended Objects: o   Predicate comparators: Defines an operator for a pair of values. Examples: §  Severity > 16 §  error_message = ‘Hello World!!’ o   Predicate sources: These are values that can be also used by the predicates. They are generic data that isn’t usually provided in the event (similar to the actions). §  Sqlserver.username = ‘Tintin’ As logical expressions they can be combined using logical operators (and, or, not).  Note: This pair always has to be first an event field or predicate source and then a value         Let’s do another small Example. We will trigger errors but we will use the ones that have severity >= 10 and the error message != ‘filter’. I was setting the max value of the line graph to the max value of my collection of items, but this ended up making the graph less readable you are unable to view the highest line on the graph as it intersects with the top of it. So what I need is basically a formula to take a set of numbers and calculate what the logical max value of on the line graph should be.. so some examples 3500 250 10049 45394 434 312 Max value on line graph should probably be 50000 493 412 194 783 457 344 max value on line graph would ideally be 1000 545 649 6854 5485 11545 In this case, 12000 makes sense as max value So something as simple as rounding upward to the nearest thousandth might work but I'd need it to progressively increase as the numbers got bigger.   I keep coming across scenarios where it will be useful to store a set of arbitrary data in a table using a per-row key/value model, rather than a rigid column/field model. The problem is, I want to store the values with their correct data type rather than converting everything to a string. This means I have to choose either a single table with multiple nullable columns, one for each data type, or a set of value tables, one for each data type. I'm also unsure as to whether I should use full third normal form and separate the keys into a separate table, referencing them via a foreign key from the value table(s), or if it would be better to keep things simple and store the string keys in the value table(s) and accept the duplication of strings. Old/bad: This solution makes adding additional values a pain in a fluid environment because the table needs to be modified regularly. But it complains: TypeError: can't subtract offset-naive and offset-aware datetimes The value datetime.today() doesn't seem to be "timezone aware", while my other date value is. How do I get a value of datetime.today() that is timezone aware? Right now it's giving me the time in local time, which happens to be PST, i.e. UTC-8hrs. Worst case, is there a way I can manually enter a timezone value into the datetime object returned by datetime.today() and set it to UTC-8? It's when I go to VS2010 and try to drag this SP in my method panel of my linq to sql file in design view. It tells me that it can't figure out the return type. I try to go to the properties but it does not have "none" as a choice and I can't type it in. It should be "none" so how do I set it to "none"?

  The Xcode data modeler shows me those three different int data types. When I would write code, which data types do these really correspond to on the iPhone? Are they all simply NSInteger, wrapped in an NSNumber? As far as I see it, NSNumber only differentiates between int an NSInteger... so I guess those three end up beeing pretty much the same?

I'm able to bind primitive types and arrays of primitive types, but haven't found a way to pass complex datatypes back and forth. Is this unsupported? So far I've been having to pass along multiple arrays -- one for each subtype in my complex type -- and then depend on their indexes to reconstitute them in the procedure.

  Hi there In report design, I have 2 tables (Current and Proposed) the structure like this: Current Parameter | Value | Rate | Total Value ... Proposed Parameter | Value | Rate | Total Value ... Each bottom of the table (Table Footer), I have something called: "Total: " which is a sum of Total field. I called these textboxes are txtbxCurrent and txtbxProposed and the format is in currency already. This thing is running well. But now I need to get a total of these txtbxCurrent and txtbxProposed. How do I do this? Can I take the value of this or not? BTW ..   Does the Visual Studio 2008 debugger implicitly cast all smaller data types to int? I have a function with the following signature: public int DoSomething(sbyte value) { ... } When pass in -127 and I look at the value argument the Visual Studio debugger (e.g. Watch window) shows me that it has the value 0xFFFFFF81. This is correct except for the fact that sbyte is only 8 bits wide; I would expect the debugger to show me that it is 0x81.
