It is working on my browser : localhost/phpmyadmin But whhen I try localhost/joompark/installation/index.php on browser....... it show the Port 80 error. joompark is my folder name. • Objective-C NSArray NEWBIE Question:

  Hi I have a weird problems with NSArray where some of the members of the objects in my array are going out of scope but not the others: I have a simple object called Section. It has 3 members. @interface Section : NSObject { NSNumber *section_Id; NSNumber *routeId; NSString *startLocationName; } @property(nonatomic,retain) NSNumber *section_Id; @property(nonatomic,retain) NSNumber *routeId; @property(nonatomic,retain) NSString *startLocationName; @end @implementation Section @synthesize section_Id; @synthesize routeId; @synthesize startLocationName; //Some static finder methods to get list of Sections from the db + (NSMutableArray *) findAllSections:{ - (void)dealloc { [section_Id release]; [routeId release]; [startLocationName release]; [super dealloc]; } @end I fill it from a database in a method called findAllSection self.sections = [Section findAllSections]; In find all sections I create some local variables fill them with data from db. NSNumber *secId = [NSNumber numberWithInt:id_section]; NSNumber *rteId = [NSNumber numberWithInt:id_route]; NSString *startName = @""; Then create a new Section and store these local variable's data in the Section Section *section = [[Section alloc] init]; section.section_Id = secId; section.routeId = rteId; section.startLocationName = startName; Then I add the section to the array [sectionsArray addObject:section]; Then I clean up, releasing local variables and the section I added to the array [secId release]; [rteId release]; [startName release]; [locEnd_name release]; [section release]; In a loop repeat for all Sections (release local variables and section is done in every loop) The method returns and I check the array and all the Sections are there. I cant seem to dig further down to see the values of the Section objects in the array (is this possible) Later I try and retrieve one of the Sections I get it from the array Section * section = [self.sections objectAtIndex:row]; Then check the value NSLog(@" SECTION SELECTED:%@",section.section_Id); BUT call to section.section_Id crashed as section.section_Id is out of scope. I check the other members of this Section object and theyre ok. After some trial and error I find that by commenting out the release of the member variable the object is OK. //[secId release]; [rteId release]; [startName release]; [locEnd_name release]; [section release]; My questions are: Am I cleaning up ok? Should I release the object added to an array and the local variable in the function? Is my dealloc ok in Section? Does this code look ok and should I be looking elsewhere for the problem? I'm not doing anything complicated just filling array from DB use it in Table Cell. If its a stupid mistake then tell me (I did put NEWBIE on the question so dont be shocked it was asked) I can comment out the release but would prefer to know why or if code looks ok then ill need further digging. the only place that secId is released is in the dealloc. • Javascript Closures - What are the negatives?

  Question: There seem to be many benefits to Closures, but what are the negatives (memory leakage? obfuscation problems? bandwidth increasage?)? Additionally, is my understanding of Closures correct? Finally, once closures are created, can they be destroyed? I've been reading a little bit about Javascript Closures. I hope someone a little more knowledgeable will guide my assertions, correcting me where wrong. Benefits of Closures: Encapsulate the variables to a local scope, by using an internal function. The anonymity of the function is insignificant. This assignment seems to keep the outerFunc open, in what I would like to call a persistent state. Everytime myFunc is called, the return is executed. In this case, the return is the internal function. Something really interesting is the localization that occurs when defining local variables. Notice the difference in the first alert between global_num1 and global_num2, even before the variable is trying to be created, global_num1 is considered undefined because the 'var' was used to signify a local variable to that function. -- This has been talked about before, in the order of operation for the Javascript engine, it's just nice to see this put to work. Globals can still be used, but local variables will override them. Notice before the third myFunc call, a global variable called local_count is created, but it as no effect on the internal function, which has a variable that goes by the same name. Conversely, each function call has the ability to modify global variables, as noticed by global_var3. Post Thoughts: Even though the code is straightforward, it is cluttered by alerts for you guys, so you can plug and play. I know there are other examples of closures, many of which use anonymous functions in combination with looping structures, but I think this is good for a 101-starter course to see the effects. The one thing I'm concerned with is the negative impact closures will have on memory. Because it keeps the function environment open, it is also keeping those variables stored in memory, which may/may not have performance implications, especially regarding DOM traversals and garbage collection. I'm also not sure what kind of role this will play in terms of memory leakage and I'm not sure if the closure can be removed from memory by a simple "delete myFunc;." The "Compiling Vim" page linked from there was for Linux, so the commands doesn't even work on Solars. But it did hint at logging the output of ./configure to a file, so I did that. Here it is: ./configure output removed. New version further down. Does anyone spot anything critical missing? EDIT 2: So I downloaded the vim package from sunfreeware. I couldn't just install it, since I don't have root privileges, but I was able to extract the package file. • Can't install Git

• QNTC and Windows Server 2008 R2

  I am having a really hard time getting an iSeries (AS/400) machine talking to my new Windows Server 2008 R2 box using the QNTC file system on the iSeries. I had similar problems getting it to initially talk to a Windows Server 2003 machine, but enabling the local Guest account on the 2003 box solved that one. No such luck with the new 2008 box. When I do a WRKLNK /QNTC/SVR01 on the iSeries (which should show share listings, and does on any 2003 boxes) all I get is (Cannot find object to match specified name.). I know the iSeries likes the same username and password on the remote server, but unfortunately for us this is not the case. Anyhow, it does currently work with different username/password combinations on a 2003 box. To try and get the wretched things talking, I have made the 2008 server pretty open but the iSeries will not see shares on it. I have enabled the local Guest account, turned Windows firewall off, set the share permissions so Everyone has full control but to no avail. I read something on the internet about the iSeries only being able to handle NTLM authentication (and I understand by default that Server 2008 R2 only uses NTLMv2 and has NTLM disabled), so I made a special group policy for the server and tweaked all Group Policy settings under Computer Configuration\Policies\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\Security Options but the iSeries STILL won't see it. We have a team of programmers who do all the system administration of the iSeries, but they are stumped for ideas on their side, and I'm stumped for ideas on my side. This is driving me crazy now, and if anybody has managed to get an iSeries to talk to Windows Server 2008 R2 using QNTC I would be very appreciative of any suggestions, be it on the Windows side, iSeries settings or even IBM PTF's that might patch anything. The iSeries is running V5R4 and I have *SECOFR privileges on it, if it helps. One final (most important!) note - The programmers think it's my system being tricky, and I think it's theirs - please prove me right :)

  Installed SharePoint Services v3 (SP2, october 2009 cumulative updates, Language Pack), attached to a content database I had previously (all works). Installed Search server 2008 Express (with language pack) on top of WSS and crawl does not work. However it works for newly created web application + database. Was playing around with accounts, permissions to try get it working. Currently I have WSS_Crawler account with such permissions: Office Search Server runs with WSS_Crawler account Config database has read permissions for WSS_Crawler Content database has read permissions for WSS_Crawler WSS_Crawler is owner of search database. Added WSS_Crawler to SQL server browser user group and administrator Yes, i'v given more permissions than needed, but it doesn't even work with that and i don't know if its permission problem or what. Crawl log says there is Error in the Site Data Web Service., nothing more. There were known issues with a similar error: Error in the Site Data Web Service. (Value does not fall within the expected range.), but this is not the case as thats an old issue and i hope it has been included in SP2... Logs are from olders to newest (descending order).   I have a development server with 3 instances: Default, A and B. It is a physical server, non clustered. Whenever the syspolicy_purge_history job runs at 2 am, I get failed login alerts. Looking at the job steps, all are successfully completed. It appears that some point during the step "Erase Phantom System Health Records" is when the failed logins occur. syspolicy_purge_history on instance B works OK. syspolicy_purge_history on the Default instance seems to want to connect to instance B, resulting in: Error: 18456, Severity: 14, State: 11. Login failed for user 'Machinename\sqlsvc-B'. Reason: Token-based server access validation failed with an infrastructure error. Check for previous errors. [CLIENT: <local machine>] . No errors are reported by Powershell. syspolicy_purge_history on the A instance seems to want to connect to the Default instance resulting in Error: 18456, Severity: 14, State: 11. • MultiView 2000 terminal emulator not printing correctly to Generic/Text Printer on Windows 7

  Guys & gals, Hope someone can shed some light on this. I am downloading reports from an AIX-based system by directing them to a TT printer which the terminal emulator (MultiView 2000) intercepts and directs to the default printer on the local system. This local printer is configured as a vanilla Generic/Text printer attached to a FILE port. When I print from AIX, the output is spooled down and the local printer prompts for a file name into which to save the file...but not under Windows 7. This has worked fine for many years, on both Win2K and WinXP. However, on Windows 7 the output gets spooled as a file into spool\PRINTERS (and looks as expected) but the print job then hangs with a status of "Error - Printing" and never prompts for a file name. I have to cancel the job. The Generic/Text printer works as expected with other applications. I have tried setting the printer to print directly rather than spooling but this only serves to hang the terminal session too. I've also tried to run the emulator in Windows 2000 Compatibility Mode and as Administrator in case it was something like that but with no luck. As you might expect, it does work fine in XP Mode (as long as I print to a printer defined therein and not the host's printer) but operationally this isn't going to be an option. Obviously this emulation software is a decade old (at least) and I could just cross/upgrade all the users (at a cost) but, before I do so, has anyone seen this sort of behaviour before and found some sort of fix?   I am trying to allow inbound unsolicited ICMPv6 requests from an external link-local address to my outside (external) interfaces link-local address. I can ping (echo-request) the external address and receive a pong (echo-reply) but ICMPv6 messages initiated on the far side are dropped. I am running 9.0(1) in order to use some of the newer features. Does the Cisco ASA not allow unsolicited inbound requests from a link-local address? Should it matter if all ICMPv6 is allowed? • Generic/Text Printer on Windows 7 not prompting for file name

  Guys & gals, Hope someone can shed some light on this. I am downloading reports from an AIX-based system by directing them to a TT printer which the terminal emulator (MultiView 2000) intercepts and directs to the default printer on the local system. This local printer is configured as a vanilla Generic/Text printer attached to a FILE port. When I print from AIX, the output is spooled down and the local printer prompts for a file name into which to save the file...but not under Windows 7. This has worked fine for many years, on both Win2K and WinXP. However, on Windows 7 the output gets spooled as a file into spool\PRINTERS (and looks as expected) but the print job then hangs with a status of "Error - Printing" and never prompts for a file name. I have to cancel the job. The Generic/Text printer works as expected with other applications. I have tried setting the printer to print directly rather than spooling but this only serves to hang the terminal session too. I've also tried to run the emulator in Windows 2000 Compatibility Mode and as Administrator in case it was something like that but with no luck. As you might expect, it does work fine in XP Mode (as long as I print to a printer defined therein and not the host's printer) but operationally this isn't going to be an option. Obviously this emulation software is a decade old (at least) and I could just cross/upgrade all the users (at a cost) but, before I do so, has anyone seen this sort of behaviour before and found some sort of fix? • Remote App Authentication Error (Code:0x507)

  Hi I'm trying to get RDP services running with Windows 2008 R2. I'm at a WINXP SP3 client that was modified to run RDP with NLA. When I start the client connect to the local DC and get an authentification error (Code 0x507). I've already done the following: • Server Setup to run as a standalone local "DC" to provide Terminal services to a single application. Remote Desktop Session Host CAL License is running & operational, RD Gateway Manager w/ Local Server RAP & CAP running NLA & operational etc..... Server has NLA & temporary use of port 3389 (which is directly connected to and accessible from the internet (I am planning to change the port to 443, but want to get the current system running first). • XP Client(s): RDP-Version on win xp clients is 6.1 If had SP2, then added SP3 and edited the registry settings to allow NLA, by: Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then press ENTER. In the navigation pane, locate and then click the following registry subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa In the details pane, right-click Security Packages, and then click Modify. In the Value data box, type tspkg. Leave any data that is specific to other SSPs, and then click OK. In the navigation pane, locate and then click the following registry subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders In the details pane, right-click SecurityProviders, and then click Modify. In the Value data box, type credssp.dll. Leave any data that is specific to other SSPs, and then click OK. Exit Registry Editor. Restart the computer.

• Windows Start Menu Not Staying on Top

  Hey everyone. I've had this problem since Windows Vista. I did a clean install with Windows 7 and hoped it would fix the problem. Also swapped out the video card just to rule out a strange driver issue. Here's what's happening. After running for some period of time (usually a few hours), the Start button/orb will loose it's "Chrome" and turn into a plain button that just says "Start." It will work fine for a while, but then the start menu will just stop showing. Additionally, when I hit Win+D to show the desktop, the entire taskbar completely disappears. I can get it back usually by moving/minimizing windows that may be overlapping where the start menu should show. Otherwise, it requires either a full reboot or I'll end up killing & restarting the explorer.exe process. • Can't get my OpenVpn client to connect

  Hi Guys, I am trying to setup a test vpn between my home desktop and my laptop. So far I have got the server on the desktop to connect fine but I can not get my laptop to finish the connection. I have tried several different configurations and they all give me the same result. Obviously it has nothing to do with my Client configuration but possibly something on my laptop? Here is the message I get in the log when it stops then times out and restarts. • Getting SMB file shares working over a PPTP VPN

  I'm having issues getting SMB file shares working over a PPTP VPN. The server setup consists of a security device (DrayTek V3300) which passes the PPTP authentication to a SBS2003 server running RRAS. The server is the DC and provides DNS and WINS, the single NIC's name server is set to the NIC's IP (192.168...), and DHCP on the DrayTek sets the server IP as the DNS. If I create a new VPN connection in Win7, leaving everything as default apart from the server, username, password and domain, I can: ping everything by IP address resolve IPs with nslookup using their fully-qualified name, as in nslookup fileserver.mydomain.local ping machines by fully-qualified name, as in ping fileserver.mydomain.local However if I try to access a file share: within Explorer, I get "Windows cannot access ..." with "Error code: 0x80004005 Unspecified Error", using net use z: \\fileserver.mydomain.local\share, I get "System error 53 has occurred. The network path was not found." If I add the machine name to my HOSTS file I can use the file share, which is my last-ditch workaround, but I have a number of VPN users and would rather a solution that doesn't involve me trying to hand-edit system files on computers half a country away. If I set the WINS server explicitly in the connection's IPv4 settings I don't have to use the FQN to ping the machine, but that doesn't change anything else. EDIT: The PC I'm having the issue on is running Win 7 Home Premium. After more testing I actually have two other PCs that work, one W7HP, one XP Home, and another Vista PC that doesn't work (not tested as much as the others), all four on the same internet connection (behind the same router). All of them were tested with a straight-forward, all defaults, new VPN configuration.

• Exchange 2003: Fresh install, couple noob questions.

  Hi All, Thanks for reading! I have a small network set up for a local office here, and have a fresh install of Exchange 2003 on our sole-server PDC. The network uses one domain, call it ourdomain.net, which is DNSed locally, but not DNSed for the actual domain, so ourdomain.net works from within the network, but from outside, it's just pointed to some domain parking. I have a completely different domain, call it emaildomain.com, which is currently setup for our website and email, which is hosted with a standard hosting company. We've been using a combination of Thunderbird and Outlook (with local .pst files) for email. I've been asked to setup Exchange to work with our email, but am not familiar with it. The install seems to have gone just fine. The question is: How do I get email from a domain outside our network to work with the exchange server? Do I need to move the email for that domain to point to our local server (I so hope not!), or can I just set exchange so somehow slurp mail from the existing mailboxes on our host for that domain's mail? Or are there better ideas I don't know to ask for? Any help very appreciated - thanks!

  We recently updated our SQL 2008 server to use SP 2 and its causing a few headaches. We use SSRS on this server and when a client tries to print a report by the built-in print function, we're needing to download the RsClientPrint ActiveX control from the server from the client gets the following error Unable to load client print control. We have about 700 computers that are needing this fixed and I've followed the instructions found on the following URL: http://www.kodyaz.com/articles/client-side-printing-silent-deployment-of-rsclientPrint.aspx We have two issues: Most of the users who will be using this ActiveX control are not local administrators so they will not be able to install the control themselves Since there are so many computers, this has to be done silently behind the scenes run by a local admin account After following the information from the link above, we're able to put the files in the C:\Windows\System32 folder and register the DLL but we still get the same problem. The only small thing I've noticed is that in the HTML for the report page, everything that references a version is referencing version 2007.100.4000.00 and the version of the DLL that I pulled from the report server is 2007.100.1600.22. Also, for some clients that are local administrators, they are prompted every time to install the ActiveX control when they click print. This works successfully but we can't have the user asked if they want to install the same control every time they need to print.

  Windows 7 64-bit, recent install, added Office 2010. When I create some boxes and open the quick-style menu, it crashes (or stops responding, in windowese, and then it sends an error report). • Reverse SSH Tunnel

  I am trying to forward web traffic from a remote server to my local machine in order to test out some API integration (tropo, paypal, etc). Basically, I'm trying to setup something similar to what tunnlr.com provides. I've initiated the ssh tunnel with the command $ssh –nNT –R :7777:localhost:5000 user@server Then I can see that server has is now listening on port 7777 with user@server:$netstat -ant | grep 7777 tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:7777 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN tcp6 0 0 ::1:7777 :::* LISTEN $user@server:curl localhost:7777 Hello from local machine So that works fine. The curl request is actually served from the local machine. Now, how do I enable server.com:8888 to be routed through that tunnel? • Cisco 891w multiple VLAN configuration

  I'm having trouble getting my guest network up. I have VLAN 1 that contains all our network resources (servers, desktops, printers, etc). I have the wireless configured to use VLAN1 but authenticate with wpa2 enterprise. The guest network I just wanted to be open or configured with a simple WPA2 personal password on it's own VLAN2.
