  • Using NavigationService without XAML files

    I'm trying to create some pages in my Windows Phone application without the use of any XAML. Everything is working, however, I'm failing to use NavigationService/ Journal with this approach and all my attempts to utilize it are answered by the usual "No XAML was found at the location {0}'" response. Yes, I can add an almost empty XAML file to get everything working, but is this kind of boiler plate code really necessary? Is it maybe possible to use the UriMapping to map certain Uris to specific classes instead of *.xaml files?

  • Connecting GPS coordinates taken from a database in Android using Overlay

    I am currently building an application that allows users to track where their phone has been on a Google Map. At the moment, when the onLocationChanged() method is called, the application stores the current GPS longitude and latitude in a database and calls the animateTo() method to the current position. Using SDK 1.5, how would I go about connecting these points with a coloured line drawn on the MapView using an Overlay?.

This generates a cached version on first try, then returns the appropriate result there after.     Python is filled with little neat shortcuts. For example: self.data = map(lambda x: list(x), data) and (although not so pretty) tuple(t[0] for t in self.result if t[0] != 'mysql' and t[0] != 'information_schema') among countless others. In the irc channel, they said "too many to know them all". I think we should list some here, as i love using these shortcuts to shorten & refctor my code. I'm sure this would benefit many.

  • How to query across many-to-many association in NHibernate?

    I have two entities, Post and Tag. The Post entity has a collection of Tags which represents a many-to-many join between the two (that is, each post can have any number of tags and each tag can be associated with any number of posts). I am trying to retrieve all Posts which have a given tag. However, I seem to be unable to get this query right. I essentially want something which means the same as the following pseudo-HQL: from Posts p where p.Tags contains (from Tags t where t.Name = :tagName) order by p.DateTime The only thing I've found which even approaches this is a post by Ayende. However, his approach requires the entity on the other side (in my case, Tag) to have a collection showing the other end of the many-to-many. I don't have this and don't really wish to have it. I find it hard to believe this can't be done. What am I missing?     Hello, I have a relatively large Conceptual Data Model in PowerDesigner. After generating a Physical Data Model and seeing the DBMS data types, I need to update all of data types(NUMBER/TEXT) for each data item. I'd like to either do a find/replace within the Conceptual Data Model or somehow map to different data types when creating the Physical Data Model. Ex. Change the auto conversion of Text - Clob, to Text - NVARCHAR(20). Thanks!

However my OS file system has a limit on the number of sub directories, meaning storing the original folder structure is not going to work. Suggestions? Map the URL to some filename so can store flatly? Or just shove it in a database like sqlite to avoid file system limitations?

    I am currently in the process of creating an application that records current location of a mobile device in intervals, displaying the route as a coloured line on the device in real-time. At the same time the application is storing the longitude and latitude in a SQLite database as I want the user to be able to bring up that specific route again. The route has a primary key and each waypoint is linked to that route by a foreign key. What would be the easiest way to display the saved route on the map?.

To do this, i have one thread for each place in which i select the tiles and create a thread to download each. Well, the question is how to avoid creating a thread for a tile that already exists in the thread pool. Should not just check if the file exists, since it is possible that the thread for that tile already exists (other place already need that tile) but the file has not been created- Any idea? Thanks

Is there a way that I can map 2 different actions to the same url using routes. Twitter does it this way, you log in at twitter.com and after you are logged in you are still located at twitter.com.
