Why does this PHP script interfere with my CSS layout?

This page uses $_GET to grab an asset id and query a mysql database and return some information. If 'id' does not match anything, no results are displayed but the page looks fine. If 'id' is null an error would occur at $id = $_GET["id"] or die(mysql_error()); When this occurs, they page layout is not displayed correctly. How do I fix this? Bonus question: How would I get a message like "No matching results found" or something when the id does not match any id in the database or is null. Background problem on UITableView

Hi ! I have come to a problem, wich I have no idea how to solve. Can anyone think outside the box and point me to right directions? I would be very thankfull ! The problem. I have a UITableView containing a first row wich is always the same (a empty row with repeating background) Next rows are bounch of dynamic data rows. So I am finding an optimum case for rendering iPhone resolution size background in OpenGL ES. How should I slice the background in this case to obtain the best possible performance? Css3 Transition on background transparent not working in Chrome 5

I`m trying to create an animation using CSS3 transition. The animation is a gradient background that should change his color (rgba). I used the webkit tag for the gradient and it`s working in Chrome 5.0.375.55. Looking into w3c site I see that "background-image - only gradients" is supported for the transition. (http://www.w3.org/TR/css3-transitions/) But I can only animate the background-color property with this version of chrome. With gradient the transition does not work. Does anyone managed to create an animation with background gradients?Read the article

Building CSS3 Simulated Lightsource on Background

Is there a way to take a DIV that has a background image on it, then apply a CSS3 gradient on it to simulate a lightsource? The reason I ask was because I was thinking of making the BODY tag on a page use a repeating background pattern, apply the CSS3 gradient lightsource on it, and then stick a white DIV on top of that where all the page content would go. For those without CSS3, it would degrade nicely into just a white DIV on top of a repeating background.Read the article

Making an owner-draw button transparent against its arbitrary background in WINCE

Hi I am trying to place an owner-draw button transparently onto a background. I have no trouble doing this when the background is a solid colour but if the background is an image I cannot seem to get the correct HDC (handle to device context) to Bitblt() the area that button covers. The HDC that is passed as part of the DRAWITEMSTRUCT gives me a button-default-grey area. If I attempt to get the parent of the HWND and then the device context of that i.e pdc = GetDC(GetParent(hWnd)); then the background that gets BitBlt'd is the background of the last painted window. Is it possible to parse a stylesheet with Nokogiri?

I've spent my requisite two hours Googling this, and I can not find any good answers, so let's see if humans can beat Google computers. I want to parse a stylesheet in Ruby so that I can apply those styles to elements in my document (to make the styles inlined). So, I want to take something like <style> .mystyle { color:white; } </style> And be able to extract it into a Nokogiri object of some sort. The Nokogiri class "CSS::Parser" (http://nokogiri.rubyforge.org/nokogiri/Nokogiri/CSS/Parser.html) certainly has a promising name, but I can't find any documentation on what it is or how it works, so I have no idea if it can do what I'm after here. My end goal is to be able to write code something like: a_web_page = Nokogiri::HTML(html_page_as_string) parsed_styles = Nokogiri::CSS.parse(html_page_as_string) parsed_styles.each do |style| existing_inlined_style = a_web_page.css(style.declaration) || '' a_web_page.css(style.declaration)['css'] = existing_inlined_style + style.definition end Which would extract styles from a stylesheet and add them all as inlined styles to my document.Read the article

UITableView cell animate background

I have a UITableView with a bunch of rows. When some action occurs, I want to animate the background of a cell. I just want to make it grey and then fade it back to the default in .5 seconds. Is my only option to set the background and call [tableView beginUpdates] followed by [tableView endUpdates] and then set a timer to clear the background again, or is there some more fundamental animation technique I can use here?Read the article

WPF Image Button formatting

If I create a button with an image inside, it gets blown up to much larger size than the image. If i try to constrain the size of image, and container button, the image gets cut off: <Button Background="Transparent" Width="18" Height="18" Margin="0,0,0,0" Padding="0,0,0,0" BorderBrush="{x:Null}"> <Image Width="16" Height="16" /> </Button> Native image size is 16x16. AS3 Flex masks with black background from png bitmap

Hi all What I am trying to achieve might be trivial, however I am loading a PNG mask which does not have a transparent background, but rather a black background, with the shape defined on top in white (the actual mask which needs to be applied). Apparently Flex expects me to provide a mask with a transparent background for it to work, or am I missing something? First time poster, long time lurker, searched, couldn’t find etc, etc. I’m running vim in tmux, in iTerm2. I’m running a server with Grunt.js, which I have running in the background, out of my way. I start my grunt server in the background like this: grunt server & Grunt also watches a bunch of files, and runs some tasks when any of the watched files have been written to. The problem is, when I am in vim and I write a file, the output from grunt starts rendering in vim! I’ve tried running a ‘stock’ vim by starting with this: vim -u NONE …But the problem remains. This suggests to me that the problem is not with my .vimrc. Can I use @import to import Kod's default style sheet into my own?

I understand that Kod is being actively developed and is prone to drastic changes in any area. I would like to modify some small things (like font face and size or certain colors) while still being able to benefit from any changes or updates to the default Kod stylesheet. I thought that I would be able to @import the default stylesheet into my own to achieve this. This is what ~/.kod/custom.css would look like, @import url("file:///Applications/Kod.app/Contents/Resources/style/default.css"); /* Change the default font face and color. */ body { font-family: Menlo, monospace; color: #efefef; } This stylesheet was set with the following defaults command, per the comments at the top of Kod's default CSS file: defaults write se.hunch.kod style/url ~/.kod/custom.css Unfortunately, this didn't work. When I first tried to reload the style, Kod crashed. It opened fine again, but the @import statement wasn't working, and Kod crashed every time I saved the custom.css file. Am I doing something wrong? Did I write my @import statement wrong? Is that not how @import is supposed to work? Different background colors for the top and bottom of a UITableView

If you look at your Inbox in iPhone OS 3.0's Mail app, you'll see that swiping down displays a grayish background color above the UISearchBar. Now, if you scroll down to the bottom of the table, you'll see that the background color at that end is white. I can think of a couple ways of solving this problem, but they're pretty hacky: Change the table view's background color depending on the current scrollOffset by overriding -scrollViewDidScroll: Give the UITableView a clear background color and then set its superview's backgroundColor to a gradient pattern image. I'm not sure that it's not implemented yet, I hope that it is. But I know that in .Net programmers should manually run time-consuming task in the background thread. So every time we handle some UI event and we understand that this will take some time we also understand that this will hang UI thread and our application. And then we make all this Background work things and handle callbacks or whatever. So my question is: Is there in some language/platform a mechanism that will automatically run time-consuming tasks in the background and will do all related work itself? So we just write the code for handling specific UI event and this code will be somehow detected as time-consuming and will be executed in background. And if there isn't, then why?Read the article

Firefox adding padding to first image in multiple images, although all images have same styling and size.

As per the latest update of Kindle V2.5, it has support of "continue downloading books while the app is in the background on iOS 4 devices". How is it possible to download content in background? As per the iOS multitasking documentation, only audio, voip & location updates are possible in background. And I've also maken sure that NSURLConnection doesn't download new data work while app goes background. Then how's it possible with Kindle app? Edit: I haven't checked Kindle App in iOS4 multitasking enabled device. So if anyone let me (& community) know what exactly Kindle app does to download, that would be very much helpful.Read the article

So I am using this to fix PNG transparency on background images in IE6 ul li a { background-image: url('/NewSite/Content/Images/Sprite.png'); background-repeat: no-repeat; background-position: 0 -48px; background-image: none; filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.AlphaImageLoader(src=/NewSite/Content/Images/Sprite.png, sizingMethod='crop'); } This works great, however I have run into a problem when trying to implement this with a sprite. The fix ignores the positioning and renders as if the position was top right. Is there a way to force background position or a better way to do this. I would prefer to not use JavaScript or change to gifs. Any help is appreciated!Read the article
