    hi, im totally new to rails. here my question: i made an app with articles and comments and use devise for authentication sadly im only able to post 1 hyperlink so this is the middle part of my post with the files at gist: https://gist.github.com/771366 the article_id is pre selected in the comments/_form - but the user_id isnt. i googled a lot, tried value = session[:user_id] and others, but nothing worked would be great if someone could tell me how it works ^^ thx

The document looks great on my screen but when I print it the words are broken p.e. this is the text of my printed docume nt How can I resolve this problem? ps: I don't want to reformat the text, I would like to keep the text as it is on the screen.   • Changing UI color in Eclipse

    I'm aware of this topic: I've used it to change most of the editor colors, and that's great. But that wasn't enought, there's still too much white (and I need to change it because it hurts my eyes). I've searched in the preferences (both using Eclipse itself and editing the files) for instances of while (255,255,255) and changed them all.     Is it possible to deceive SQL Server to return a different date on GetDate() without actually changing the machine date? This would be great, since we have a database with old data and I'm trying to test some queries that use getdate(). I can change my machine date but that brings some other problems with other applications... Any tips? Thanks!

    I've been looking all over for a simple example of how to have an action (or button) be triggered when the enter key is hit in the text field. Should I subclass the text field? Would I need to set a delegate to call the action I need? Is there a way to catch the event in my main window controller class? Then you remember http://super.duper.domain.example Oh. So then you think, okay, find the last period, go back a word and get everything before! Then you remember http://super.duper.domain.co.uk And you're back to square one. Anyone have any great ideas besides storing a list of all TLDs? John

    Hi everyone, I've playing around with linux and noticed that for some mysterious reason commands like '/bin/sh ' just will not work. Each time I'm trying to start a process it yields 'cannot execute binary file' error message. m@sanctuary:~$ sh sed /bin/sed: /bin/sed: cannot execute binary file When I first launch sh and try to execute sed, it succeeds. I'm starting to loose my wits. It would be just great, if somebody could help me. Thank you.

Any way to do the same thing, for n-paremeters?
