• Cannot connect to Open WiFi hotspot created by Android

  I'm trying to share my 3G data connection via WiFi hotspot. I have an open Hotspot running on my phone(Xperia Neo V - MT11i - Android 2.3.4). But I cannot connect to it from my Ubuntu system.   Hi, I have and old content database which i restored in my sharepoint 2007. But whenver i try to access web sites in my sharepoint i get error : 500 INTERNAL SERVER ERROR. I can see the old content database at :- Sharepoint Centre Admin-Application Management-Content databases. There is no difference in the version of the old content database.   I want to have achieve something similar to Java Tiles framework using only client side technologies (no server side includes). I would like to have one page, eg layout.html which will contain layout definition. Content placeholder in that page would be empty #content div tag. I would like to have different content injected on that page based on url. Something like layout.html?content=main or layout.html?content=edit will display page with content replaced with main.html or edit.html. The goal is to avoid duplicating code, even for layout, and to compose pages without server-side templating. What approach would you suggest? EDIT: I don't need a full templating library, just a way to compose a pages, similar for what tiles do.

  I am using Apache 2.2 and mod_rewrite. I would like to take the following urls and map them to another url. The pattern is simple and like this: http://domain/test/ex1.html - http://domain/app/index.php/content/?name=ex1 I tried the following in an .htaccess file: RewriteEngine On RewriteBase /app/ RewriteRule (.*)\.html index.php/content/?name=$1 and RewriteEngine On RewriteRule (.*)\.html /app/index.php/content/?name=$1 I wasn't sure if the backreference was correct so set to $0 and $2 but never seemed to help. I also tried setting the RewriteLogLevel to 9. There is a step where it is almost there: rewrite 'ex1.html' - 'index.php/content/?name=ex1' The last line of the rewrite log is as follows: [perdir /var/www/domain/htdocs/test/] internal redirect with /app/index.php/content/ [INTERNAL REDIRECT] How can I get this to rewrite to /app/index.php/content/?name=ex1 ? thanks

  In Umbraco, every page has a content field that you can edit in the admin-area. What I want would be a second content field that I (actually my customer who will be editing the content by himself) can edit on every page. I would then create a masterpage/template that contains the two content areas (the first one as the main content and the second one as the sidebar). At least this is how I would do it. Is this possible or is there even a better approach for having a main content and a separate sidebar on every page?

• Model value not being set on return from View to Controller

  I have a boolean model variable who's value is supposed to be set to TRUE in order to perform a process on return back into the Controller. It works absolutely fine on my local machine, but not on the remote web server. Can somebody PLEASE inform me what I am missing? The last alert shows that the value of the bool variable is "true". However, when I do page source views of the hidden variable, below is the result. The values of the hidden variable when the page loads and when the last alert button finishes are as follows: My local machine: The remote machine: As you can see, the value on my machine is set to true when the process executes. However, on the remote machine, it is set to false where it then doesn't excute. Why isn't the value in the model being returned as TRUE on the remote machine?

• Nested for loop error with !null checking an element that doesn't exist

  I am currently using nested for loops in a 2D array of size 4,2. When I run my program, I get index out of bounds Exception on the following line else if (state[i][j+1] != null && state[i][j].getFlash() <= state[i][j].getCycleLength() && state[i][j+1].getCycleLength() == state[i][j].getCycleLength()){ } It says the index out of bounds is 2. I would understand the error if I wasn't checking to see if [i][j+1] wasn't null, but I don't understand the exception with the check? I tried moving around the !null check but the program still fails on this line. Any help would be greatly appreciated.   Currently I am developing a CakePHP that will list various businesses. In the database, there is a table for businesses that lists them like so: id | name | address | city | state | state_id | zip | url The state column are abbreviations of states (for listing purposes) CA, AK, FL, etc and the state_id matches up with the ids in the states table: id | name | state_abbr I have an admin_add.ctp template with form helpers for inserting new businesses. For entering a state for a business I am going to have a pull down that lists all the states. However, how do I make the database insert so it will know how to add the state abbreviation and state id when I submit the form to add the business?

• App closes after facebook login in IOS 5

  I am using facebook sdk 3.1 framework for my application. The login process works successfully and returns to the app after facebook login both in simulator(iOS 6.0 and 5.0) and in iPad(iOS 6). But When the same is deployed in IPad with IOS 5, after login, it does not return back to my application and shows a blank white Screen or sometimes my application closes. I dont know what went wrong in iOS 5 and facebook sdk 3.1 framework, also i am not getting any logs to debug...   I have a slight problem with .htaccess redirect. I have a dynamic site with 2 levels of variables - content="type -(alpha)" and ID="number" but this is very not seo friendly what I really would like to create is a rewrite rule that generates a "friendly" url for serach engines & users alike. Very much like WordPress does. Each ID is already unique (obviously) and on creation is creating a unique "permalink" field so for example ID=1 has a "permalink field" as "2009/10/27/page title" and ID=100 would be "2010/10/27 page title". I would like folder/wall.php?content=type&ID=number to redirect to folder/permalink.php/html/htm (don't mind a non dynamic extension) Any clues? - this is not right (I know) but it also "breaks" my css file RewriteEngine On RewriteRule wall/content/(.*)/ID/(.*)/ wall.php?content=$1&ID=$2 RewriteRule wall/content/(.*)/ID/(.*) wall.php?content=$1&ID=$2

I guess it will depend on the length of the string. So how much space a string takes of how much length?

  I have the following code: $location .= 'red=no&'.session_name() . "=". session_id(); $content = file_get_contents($location); echo $content; If I run it, noting is displayed in my browser. However, if I modify it in the following way: $location .= 'red=no'; $content = file_get_contents($location); echo $content; everything works fine (I see the content in my browser). What is also strange, if I display the value of the $location variable from the first example (url) and manually paste it in the address line of my browser, I do see the content. So, my browser is able to use this URL and file_get_contents not. Does anybody know how it can be explained?
