    Hi Everyone, I have managed to get my email problem sorted so now everytime a case is created an email goes out to the specified address. I have a usermailer.rb def makeakase(email, name, jobno, casesubject) recipients email from "no-reply@your_rails_app.com" subject "FW: Kase creation from Survey Manager" sent_on Time.now body :name => name end and I have the kases_controller.rb: if @kase.save UserMailer.deliver_makeakase("[email protected]", "Highrise") In the body I would like to use the tags that I use in the kase show view such as: <%=h @kase.jobno %> - <%=h @kase.casesubject %> but they don't work, I get the following error: wrong number of arguments (2 for 4) Any ideas?     Hi! I'm building an application where I have products and categories. Category has_many properties and each property has a list of possible values. After a category is set to the product all properties show up in the form and the user can set that property to one of the properties possible values. My question is: Is it possible for Thinking Sphinx to filter the products through a property and property value ex: :with => {:property_id => property_value} If it's possible, what is the best way to implement this?   • Using the same class in both server and web service

    I have classes that are needed in both my web service and my server. For example, I have a class named Order that I'd like to send from my server to the web service and vice-versa. Problem is that the class in the server is Order and the one on the web service is localhost.Order, and it is impossible to convert between them, even though they are built from the very same code. Error is cannot convert from 'Order[]' to 'localhost.Order[]'. What can I do? Thank you very much.

I think the line 'array[3]' is wrong, but I think I've read that this should remove the array cell. What would be the right way to remove an array cell? Does it depend on object type? (String vs Number vs Object) Or Can one manipulate the UpperBound value to make it work? i.e. after removing Item 3, I want the UpperBound, or arraylength, to be 2, since this is logically correct.

    Hello, I have created a GridView whose columns are dynamically created based on my data source. I have implemented these columns by using the approach described here.Those columns display properly on the initial load. However, I need to implement commanding so that a user can edit / delete a row in the GridView. At this point, I have implemented commanding as I would with a normal GridView. I have a TemplateField with an ItemTemplate that has LinkButton elements for edit and delete. The CommandName for each LinkButton is set to either Edit or Delete respectively. Oddly, when a user clicks either the Edit or Delete link, the data in the GridView disappears. However, I have verified that I am in fact re-binding the data when one of these LinkButton elements is selected. Can anyone provide some suggestions as to what the cause could be? Thank you!

    Hi, I create a TableLayout which has 3 equally-wide columns (I put 'stretchColumns="*" in my TableLayout which has 3 TextViews). See below: But my questions is why I set one of the TextView to 'visibility' to Gone in my java code, the TableLayout does not re-size to 2 qually-wide columns which fit the whole screen. I have even call 'tableLayout.requestLayout()' after i set the visibility to Gone.' How can I achieve what I want?     I'm building a mobile version for my website using Jquery Mobile API. The framework provides automate AJAX navigation processing. But as far as i know it require "real" pages for loading purpose. What i want to do is override the automate navigation process of it and process the hashchange on my own. But i can't not rewrite the url using window.hashChange, which is running well on my non-mobile website version : $(function () { $(window).off().hashchange(function () { if (location.hash.length > 1) { PageSelect(); } }); $(window).hashchange(); }); I just only want to take advantage on jquery mobile interfaces, i don't want anything with its automate ajax navigation stuff ! I tried to disable it using ajaxEnabled() but got no luck.

I'm aware of how edge-casey this is but was hoping they'd have some sort of escaping guide.

  • Adding UIViews with dynamic heights iphone

    in my viewcontroller's view i need to add a couple of custom UIView's, i do that in the loadView method so in my custom uiview's drawRect method i add a couple of UILabel's. in my viewcontroller's view i need to add all those custom UIView's underneath each other but i don't know what their height is sometimes 20px, 40px, 60px, depending on the outcome of the drawRect so when i init my custom UIView i give it a frame height of lets say 50.. but when the drawRect is done and it's only 20, 50 is too much so i need to adjust the frame height but how can i determine what's the visible height of the custom UIView and where can i catch it in my viewcontroller when the custom uiview has finished his drawRect method is there some kind of autoresize and where do i catch it in my viewcontroller, so i can position the custom uiview right under neath each other.

  • IoC - Dynamic Composition of object instances

    Is there a way using IoC, MEF [Imports], or another DI solution to compose dependencies on the fly at object creation time instead of during composition time? Here's my current thought. If you have an instance of an object that raises events, but you are not creating the object once and saving it in memory, you have to register the event handlers every time the object is created. As far as I can tell, most IoC containers require you to register all of the classes used in composition and call Compose() to make it hook up all the dependencies. I think this may be horrible design (I'm dealing with a legacy system here) to do this due to the overhead of object creation, dependency injection, etc... but I was wondering if it was possible using one of the emergent IoC technologies. Maybe I have some terminology mixed up, but my goal is to avoid writing a framework to "hook up all the events" on an instance of an object, and use something like MEF to [Export] handlers (dependencies) that adhere to a very specific interface and [ImportMany] them into an object instance so my exports get called if the assemblies are there when the application starts. So maybe all of the objects could still be composed when the application starts, but I want the system to find and call all of them as the object is created and destroyed.

  • Should I Make These Vectors Classes or Structs in C#

    I am creating a geometry library in C# and I will need the following immutable types: Vector2f (2 floats - 8 bytes) Vector2d (2 doubles - 16 bytes) Vector3f (3 floats - 12 bytes) Vector3d (3 doubles - 24 bytes) Vector4f (4 floats - 16 bytes) Vector4d (4 doubles - 32 bytes) I am trying to determine whether to make them structs or classes. MSDN suggests only using a struct if the size if going to be no greater than 16 bytes. That reference seems to be from 2005. Is 16 bytes still the max suggested size? I am sure that using structs for the float vectors would be more efficient than using a class, but what should I do about the double vectors? Should I make them structs also to be consistent, or should I make them classes?
