    I am using this code in my template file to display a static block in my left sidebar: <?= $this->getLayout()->createBlock('cms/block')->setBlockId('leftSB1')->toHtml() ?> I would like to exclude the block from one of my CMS pages. How do I do this? I think it requires adding code to the 'Layout Update XML' section but I'm not sure what exactly.

    My ViewModel: class ViewModel { public string FileName {get;set;} } and in my View I bind a label's content to ViewModel's FileName. now When I do drag-drop a file to my View, How can I update the label's Content property, so that the ViewMode's FileName also get updated via binding? Directly set the label's Content property won't work, it just simply clear the binding.

    I have a Telerik RadDatePicker, which I am binding to the SelectedDate property. I want this control to show a validation error when the default date set in the control is removed/deleted. I was able to achieve this, but the problem was that the validation error occurs only when Enter is pressed or when we click outside the control. Is there a way tell RadDatePicker to update the source without moving the focus? (Tried UpdateSourceTrigger=PropertyChanged, but still it wasnt working)

  • When does post-update get called (GIT)

    My git setup was working beautifully, then stopped cooperating today. Right now, I can git-pull, git commit just fine from my local machine. When I git push, the push goes through, but the server files don't actually get updated. Now I wonder, is my post-update file even getting called anymore? I've checked the permissions, and they are all group +x, and I'm a part of the group... any other suggestions?

    I'm using wx.AUI and having a bit of a problem managing panes. Once you have created a new pane using AddPane(), what is the syntax to update or change the pane? I've seen the SetPane command but I can't find any examples. Can someone direct me to an example? Or perhaps it makes sense to use some command to delete the pane and create a new one?     I need to count words in a string using PHP or Javascript (preferably PHP). The problem is that the counting needs to be the same as it works in Microsoft Word, because that is where the people assemble their original texts in so that is their reference frame. PHP has a word counting function (http://php.net/manual/en/function.str-word-count.php) but that is not 100% the same as far as I know. Any pointers?

This is the assignment: Examine the following situation: Your company, Datamax, Inc., is in the process of automating its payroll systems. Your manager has asked you to create a program that calculates overtime pay for all employees. Your program must take into account the employee’s salary, total hours worked, and hours worked more than 40 in a week, and then provide an output that is useful and easily understood by company management. Compile your program utilizing the following background information and the code outline in Appendix D (included in the code section). Submit your project as an attachment including the code and the output. Company Background: Three employees: Mark, John, and Mary The end user needs to be prompted for three specific pieces of input—name, hours worked, and hourly wage. Calculate overtime if input is greater than 40 hours per week. Provide six test plans to verify the logic within the program. Plan 1 must display the proper information for employee #1 with overtime pay. Plan 2 must display the proper information for employee #1 with no overtime pay. I have to include the license text into my product which is somewhat strange in an silverlight application. In a normal desktop application I would just include the license als a .txt but I've no idea how to do it in silverlight without including in in an about dialog or something similar.
