So I can add new templates for single files, but I want Xcode to uses these files when setting up the new project (most noticeably the Controller and Delegate .h and .m files). How do I do that?
I would like to include a rich text editor in a pygtk drawing area for an application i am developing. The editor ( a small resizable widget ) should be able to move around the drawing area like a rectangle. I am not sure how to start as I am pretty new to PyGTK. thank you !
So I put in in-place editing for one of my models.
One of the attributes is PRICE.
I used the to_currency method to format the value before it is displayed.
The problem I'm having is that with the in-place editor, I just can't figure out how to set a custom display value.
I'm trying to get the price to display as $20.00 until it is clicked, but the in place editor displays 20.0..

Hi All,
I want to convert my text into HTML format, it would be just like this that I just copy paste the text from word, pdf [with formatting & colors] to the editor and it will convert it into HTML tags, so that when I decode it again it would give me the same format that I have pasted.
I am almost happy with the page brezeer but sometimes it destroy the formatting.
Please suggest me any other editor.
Thanks in advance
Where can I find good templates for svn commit emails?
Google led me to this. Even though it was much better than the default post-commit, I didn’t find it very useful.
Help much appreciated.

I'm writing a Python module for parsing XSD for very specific purpose. Currently it's a console program, but ideally I would see it plugged inside some XSD editor - not only for convenience of end users, but also for fetching XSD parsed into Python objects - this would save me days or weeks of work. Is there any such editor on the market?
Hi,
I am looking for a free/cheap SQLite editor that can handle BLOB type for Mac OS X. Basically, I just need to create a database that contains images, then load it to an iPhone app bundle. No need for fancy queries. Could someone recommend the best editor available out there for this purpose?
Thanks a lot
Hi everyone. I'm looking for some Vs 2005-2008 Editor Tools like those one in NetBeans or Eclipse that auto insert a close bracket '}' or auto insert a line after an opening bracket '{'.
In general a tool that enhance the Editor. I know that resharper does some of the tricks but it is expensive for me.

Hello,
I´m thinking about writing an android app, but have no experience in programming such apps.
My question is whether it is possible to access the standart message editor of android with my app and add for example additional information to it or would it be neccesary to write a complete new editor which would be started as a seperate app.
greetings
I'm looking for an
open source
cross platform
WYSIWYG
editor that I can use to write documentation. I'm not looking for a web based solution - i.e. it should work without a web server, and I want to save my files directly to disk.
The result could be any structured format, like Wiki markup, ReStructuredText, DocBook, or a small subset of HTML, ... But it's important, that
Subversion diff can be used to see differences between the versions easily (this wouldn't work with .odt or .rtf files for example)
I'm currently thinking about using Open Office, and saving the files as HTML, but is there a better solution?
I'm on OSX 10.6.8 and would like to enable the root user. I found Apple's KB article, however this point
Click the lock in the Directory Utility window.
Enter an administrator account name and password, then click OK.
Choose Enable Root User from the Edit menu.
is not possible, because there is no "Edit Menu" Icon! I'm logged in as admin, but I only see "Services" and "Search Policy". Repeat, I do not see the "Editor", it's just not there. What gives?
How it should be: Directory Utility
I tried Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 and was not able to open my file (unsupported format). Media player can open it thanks to ffdshow (tryouts IIRC). Premiere doesnt seem to want to use ffdshow. I tried renaming it to AVI and hoped Premiere would open it via ffdshow but it didnt and i checked and disabled the dont use ffdshow option in ffdshow video decoder option.
What is a good proffesional video editor that can handle FLV? All ffmpeg based editors died on it and virtualdub got close but had a bad framerate. Probably bc it didnt know it was a streaming vid and the start is 26mins of 31min video. More info here but what can i use to open and properly convert flv video http://superuser.com/questions/50779/windows-media-based-video-audio-converter
On Windows, I use Notepad++ which has the great feature of when I select a word, all instances of that word are also highlighted in the same document. I have found it very helpful for finding patterns in giant log files.
I am wondering if there is a similar feature in a text editor on the Mac. I have looked into the documentation for TextWrangler and TextMate to no avail. Hopefully there is a way to do this so I can be more productive when working on a Mac.

Note: in Notepad++ you do not have to do a keyboard shortcut to make this work... you just select some text and it does the highlighting for you automatically.
There are a lot of webdeveloper addons available, for Firefox, like firebug.
But is there a html editor addon for Firefox. Which I can edit my website. Viewing the edits real-time (using localhost or via ftp?) and saving the edits(CTRL+S)
I am currenlty using firebug and it would save a lot of time if I could save the
(local) .html file using a firebug like addon!(or firebug itself?)
I Found a firebug addon to save .css files... now just need one to save html, and I am good to go!
All of our writers and editors use Microsoft Word for document creation and a lot of what they create ends up on the Web. Is there a good offline editor with a flavor similar to Word that they could use to create their documents. Styling of the content should not be a concern, only producing semantic HTML (most documents they create could be done using only header and paragraph tags for instance). They have tried CKEditor and TinyMCE but it is still too foreign for them and it is online so they don't trust it not to lose their work.
I'm following along with this tutorial on how to use Sublime text editor https://tutsplus.com/lesson/services-and-opening-sublime-from-the-terminal/ . It gives instructions to enter the following command to enable opening of Sublime in the terminal.
ln -s "/Applications/Sublime Text 2.app/Contents/SharedSupport/bin/subl" /bin/subl
After creating that link, it says I should be able to do
subl .
to open all the files in a folder in Sublime. However, when I do it, it says
-bash: subl: command not found
My system says the file exists
ln: /bin/subl: File exists
Any idea what I can do?
I understand that '.md' is an extension for markdown format.
While installing 'Grunt' from GitHub I see a lot of .md extension files inside node_module/grunt/docs folder.
As per my understanding these files are supported by GitHub for documentation kind of things if I am not wrong.
My question here is -
Are there any editors/tools or programs available for Windows 7 where I can see these .md files executing ?
When I try to open any of these file inside my text editor it displays in raw format with all '#" etc. keywords.
I want to see the formatted version of these files so that without an internet connection also I can navigate the documentation on my machine.
Thanks for helping !!
In Ubuntu, how can I make Quanta Plus the default editor for PHP files?
In Windows we just use the open with context menu the first time for any new types of files and check use this application for these type of files. After that the files always open up in checked application. I want to know if Ubuntu has a similar feature.
Also, if I open 2 PHP files then two instance of Quanta Plus opens up. How can I get the secondary PHP files to open on another tab instead?
I sometimes need to copy/paste text into two windows and compare the contents for a quick hack, ie. without having to save both documents to disk, and display the two docs side-by-side vertically so I can scroll them independantly (WinMerge doesn't seem to support independent scrolling.)
Since the documents only live in RAM, text editors will display a non-descript tab/filename like "Untitled1" or "New file 1":

Does someone know of a Windows editor that supports...
renaming tabs with more descriptive names even with documents that haven't been saved to disk,
side-by-side, vertical tiling, and
independant scrolling?
Thank you.
Hi
First of all, I must to say that I don't know anything about video editing. I'm a total noob in this field.
I need to make a screencast. Actually, I have made the desktop recording and I have some shorts videos in mp4 format to work with it. Thats what I need:
Cut some fragments of the videos
Join the selected portions into a
big video
Make some transicions in the
cutting points (A simple fade will
do the job)
Put some text in the bottom of the
videos during a few seconds making
explanations
Adding fragments of sound from a
mp3/wav record
Thats all... Which "very simple" video editor could I use?
Thanks!
