  • Jquery, "$.each(", function returns error in IE. 'Length' is null or not an object

    My code is working fine in FireFox but my users are restricted to IE. I'm getting an error though in IE, related to my JQUERY function. populateTable:function(returnList) { var self = this; var eat = $.evalJSON(returnList.firstChild.textContent) $.each(eat,function() { $("<tr><td>" + this.reportId + "</td><td>" + this.description + "</td><td>" + this.drawingNumber + "<td></tr>").insertAfter(self.tblResults[0].childNodes[1]); }) } IE is erring on the $.each with the message below: 'Length' is null or not an object Any ideas or maybe a workaround for the $.each function? Update: returnList is an XML document object from an Ajax call. I'm trying to retrieve the JSON object string located within the XML tag.

  • add text to the choice_label of ChoiceField in Django

    The ChoiceField creates a select html element and the options show the choice_label which is the _unicode_ of each model object. How can I change the text of the choice_label without modifying _unicode_ ? I have a Product model and I want to show in the options text the product name + price + link to edit. I've searched in fields.py and widgets.py but couldn't find what needed to be changed. Thanks

Something like this: {{ form.myfield.0 }}} Or perhaps hanging it onto widget itself: {{ form.myfield.field.widget.0 }} What bugs me is that RadioFieldRenderer already implements __get_item__ to get just one RadioInput. The problem is that the renderer does not contain data, neither does the widget. And I'd really hate to mess with Field and BoundField. I need this to inject html before/after each radiobutton and I'd like it to be done in the template. From the code it would be easy. Any ideas are welcome.

    I want to create a global timer object in javascript and then be able to add callbacks to it on the fly. This way I can just use one global timer in my script to execute all actions at a certain interval rather than wasting resources by using multiples.     I'm trying to configure ftp over amazon EC2 instance, I've installed vsftpd and did the steps of adding user and modifying the vsftpd.conf file, but I'm getting my service status as ubuntu@ip-10-38-106-212:~$ sudo service vsftpd status vsftpd stop/waiting I've tried to reinstall vsftpd but still getting the same, I've also added the port 20 and 21 in my security group policy to skip the firewall. Can anyone tell me how to check whats wrong with this vsftpd, why its stopped and not coming into running state. Thank u

    I have a very basic doubt in SSL HandShake. Assume that we have a server S which uses self signed certificates. I write a Java client C which connects to the S. When C connects to S, C gets certificates from S and saves them to its truststore and the remaining part of the communication proceeds. After some time I use the same C to connect to the S, so will S send the certificates again to C, or C will use the certificates already stored in truststore. I am not good in SSL and underlying implementation of Truststore functionality in Java. Will S send the certificates to C invariable of whether the C has certificates on its truststore?? I believe that if I have certificates in truststore C trusts S and C will not ask for certificates when I connect again?? Is my assumption right?? Is the process same for self-signed certificates and CA certificates?? Thanks in advance.

    I just setup an out of the box "W2K8 R2 Web" server and installed IIS 7 out of the box. Then I installed the .NET4 framework and ran "aspnet_regiis -i" command. I created a site using .NET 4.0 Integrated app pool. I created an MVC application using the default MVC project template, without modifying I compiled the project and deploy the files using (Publish) to the virtual directory. I can pull the site up, but the styles are missing from the page and for some reason it routing to the /Account/LogOn?ReturnUrl=/

We have a handful of stored procedures with names greater than 31 characters (which appears to be the max in FB 2.1.3) Is there a way to increase this limitation?   • Change UIImagePicker Navigation Bar style to blue

    All of my view has a blue navigation bar but when I want user to choose a photo, the UIImagePicker is black. I tried to set the navigation bar of UIImagePickerController to blue using UIBarStyleDefault but it does not work for me, the color is still black. I tried with other UIBarStyle like UIBarStyleBlack and UIBarStyleOpaque as well but it doesn't change the navigation bar of the picker anyway. Here is my code // Let the user choose a new photo.   • size of view not changing after frame change

    I have managed to do pretty complex things on iPhone but I am always stuck with views, frames, bounds, and simple stuff that defies any logic and don't work as expected. I have a self.view in my code and it has a lot of subviews on it. At some point of the code, I need to reduce the frame vertically to a specific size and later put it back as before. Then I have this code: [UIView beginAnimations:nil context:NULL]; [UIView setAnimationDuration:1.5]; // frame is changing to a newHeight (other parameters are the same as before) self.view.frame = CGRectMake (0, 0, originalWidth, newHeight); [UIView commitAnimations]; The result is simply, nothing. The view continues as before. The same size, the same position. No change. Why this kind of thing happens? how to solve that?

    This should be easy but its got me stumped. I've got a button on each row of a table cell. The button is to delete the file associated with that row. I have an image that indicates if the file is present on the iPhone or not present. When the user presses the button, the target action method (showDeleteSheet) then calls a UIActionSheet with a variable to give it the indexPath of the row pressed. Then the user presses delete on the action sheet and the action sheet's clickedButtonAtIndex method deletes the file. Now, I need to update the button's background image property to change the image in the appropriate table cell to the not downloaded image. This can be done in either the button's target action method or the action sheet's clickedButtonAtIndex method. I've tried to force the table to reload but [table reloadData]; is doing nothing. I've tried reloadRowsAtIndexPaths and still no good. Any one care to educate me on how this is done?

  • iphone calls both if and else at the same time?

    Hi, I need to determine what file type a file is and then perform a certain action for it. this seems to work fine for some types, however all media types such as videos and sound files get mixed up. I determine the file type by doing this: BOOL matchedMP3 = ([[rowValue pathExtension] isEqualToString:@"mp3"]); if (matchedMP3 == YES) { NSLog(@"Matched MP3"); } I do this for various file types and just define an "else" for all the others. Here's the problem though. The iPhone calls them both. What happens is that both the webview and the MediaPlayer toggle their own player, so they overlap and play their sound/video a few secs apart from each other.     Since I'm pretty new this question'll certainly sound stupid but I have no idea about how to approach this. I'm trying take a list of nodes and for each of the nodes I want to create an array of predecessors and successors in the ordered array of all nodes. Currently my code looks like this: nodes = self.peers.keys() nodes.sort() peers = {} numPeers = len(nodes) for i in nodes: peers[i] = [self.coordinator] for i in range(0,len(nodes)): peers[nodes[i%numPeers]].append(nodes[(i+1)%numPeers]) peers[nodes[(i+1)%numPeers]].append(nodes[i%numPeers]) # peers[nodes[i%numPeers]].append(nodes[(i+4)%numPeers]) # peers[nodes[(i+4)%numPeers]].append(nodes[i%numPeers]) The last two lines should later be used to create a skip graph, but that's not really important. The problem is that it doesn't really work reliably, sometimes a predecessor or a successor is skipped, and instead the next one is used, and so forth. Is this correct at all or is there a better way to do this? Basically I need to get the array indices with certain offsets from each other. Any ideas?

    We are trying to use sybase function power to do mathematical calculation for one of the DB columns. The hibernate is generating power function as pow(?, xyzo0_.AmtScale) whereas sybase supports power function as Syntax POWER( numeric-expression-1, numeric-expression-2 ) We have tried modifying the hibernate.dialect. Have tried org.hibernate.dialect.SybaseASE15Dialect org.hibernate.dialect.Sybase11Dialect org.hibernate.dialect.SybaseAnywhereDialect but all dialects generate the power function as pow(?, xyzo0_.AmtScale). Is this hibernate issue or are we missing something?
