I want to parse it using SAX and only print out text between the title tag. <root> <site>some site</site> <title>good title</title> </root> I have the following code: require 'rubygems' require 'nokogiri' include Nokogiri class PostCallbacks < XML::SAX::Document def start_element(element, attributes) if element == 'title' puts "found title" end end def characters(text) puts text end end parser = XML::SAX::Parser.new(PostCallbacks.new) parser.parse_file("myfile.xml") problem is that it prints text between all the tags. How can I just print text between the title tag?

  • Generic tree implementation in Java

    Is anyone aware of a generic tree (nodes may have multiple children) implementation for Java? It should come from a well trusted source and must be fully tested. It just doesn't seem right implementing it myself. Almost reminds me of my university years when we were supposed to write all our collections ourselves.     I have a console application in Visual studio. i have log4net stuff with smtp appender in my app.config file. I have set environment variable in my code (i.e. my email address) and trying to reference this environment variable to send email. However log4net doesn't seem to read this value when the application is run.   • XML deserialization doesn't read in second level

    Sorry if the title doesn't make much sense, but I'm not too familiar with the terminology. My question is: I have a config.xml file for a program I'm working on. I created an xsd file by 'xsd.exe config.xml'. I then took this xsd and added it to the solution in visual studio. My last step used a program called xsd2code that turned that xsd file into a class I can serialize too. The problem is it doesn't read more then a layer deep in the xml tree. By this I mean the elements in the root node get deserialized into my object, but those that are in a node inside the root node are not. I found this out by putting a breakpoint after the deserialization and looking at my object. Any Ideas? Let me know if this needs some clarification or you need a snippet of something.

  • Saving State Dynamic UserControls...Help!

    I have page with a LinkButton on it that when clicked, I'd like to add a Usercontrol to the page. I need to be able to add/remove as many controls as the user would like. The Usercontrol consists of three dropdownlists. The first dropdownlist has it's auotpostback property set to true and hooks up the OnSelectedIndexChanged event that when fired will load the remaining two dropdownlists with the appropriate values. My problem is that no matter where I put the code in the host page, the usercontrol is not being loaded properly. I know I have to recreate the usercontrols on every postback and I've created a method that is being executed in the hosting pages OnPreInit method. I'm still getting the following error: The control collection cannot be modified during DataBind, Init, Load, PreRender or Unload phases. Regex, find's pruning -- backtracking? The term backtracking confuseses due to its variety of use. UNIX find's pruning an SO-user explained with backtracking. Regex Buddy uses the term "catastrophic backtracking" if you do not limit the scope of your Regexes. It seems to be too wide umbrella-term. So: how do you define "Backtracking" GRAPH-theoretically? what is "backtracking" in BFS and DFS?

  • IIS URL Rewriting for all Inbound URLs?

    Hopefully a simple question although one I have found impossible to answer myself using the Googles! I have a website on IIS with the URL http://www.contoso.com/ which points to C:\www\public\ There has been a forced directory restructure so now all of the data (Default.aspx, Product.aspx, etc.) that originally resided in C:\www\public\ now resides in C:\www\public\en\ie\ - however, the IIS website document root is still C:\www\public\ So, essentially, I have a lot of inbound links to http://www.contoso.com/Product.aspx?id=1 (etc.) which are now returning 404 errors - the correct link is now http://www.contoso.com/en/ie/Product.aspx?id=1 Please consider that I can make no changes to the directory structure or the IIS document root... so must solve this issue using URL rewriting. Is it possible to capture all requests to contoso.com/* and rewrite them to contoso.com/en/ie/* ??

    Just a sidenote: I'm not sure whether I should post this to serverfault as well, because some MOSS admin may have some info for me as well? A bit of explanation first (without Asp.net MVC) Is it possible to integrate the two? Is it possible to write an application that would share at least credential information with MOSS? I have to write a MOSS application that has to do with these technologies: MOSS 2010 Personal client certificates authentication (most probably on USB keys) Active Directory Federation Services Separate SQL DB that would serve application specific data (separate as not being part of MOSS DB) How should it work? Users should authenticate using personal certificates into MOSS 2010 There would be a certain part of MOSS that would be related to my custom application This application should only authorize certain users via AD FS - I guess these users should have a certain security claim attached to them This application should manage users (that have access to this app) with additional (app specific) security claims related to this application (as additional application level authorization rights for individual application parts) This application should use custom SQL 2008 DB heavily with its own data This application should have the possibility to integrate with external systems as well (Exchange for instance to inject calendar entries, ERP systems etc) This application should be able to export its data (from its DB) to files. I don't know if it's possible, but it would be nice if the app could add these files to MOSS and attach authorization info to them so only users with sufficient rights would be able to view/open these files. Why Asp.net MVC then? I'm very well versed in Asp.net MVC (also with the latest version) and I haven't done anything on Sharepoint since version 2003 (which doesn't do me no good or prepare me for the latest version in any way shape or form). This project will most probably be a death march project so I would rather write my application as a UI rich Asp.net MVC application and somehow integrate it into MOSS. But not only via a link, because I would like to at least share credentials, so users wouldn't need to re-login when accessing my app. Using Asp.net MVC I would at least have the possibility to finish on time or be less death marching. Is this at all possible? Questions Is it possible to integrate Asp.net MVC into MOSS as described above? If integration is not possible, would it be possible to create a completely MOSS based application that would work as described? Which parts of MOSS 2010 should I use to accomplish what I need?

  • Custom Errors "Could no load type error"

    I am creating ASP.Net MVC application and want to handle errors globally. I have set web.config value as mode=On and defaulRedirect="Error.aspx". I have Error.aspx at two places. One at Views/Shared folder and one at project root folder level. But each time an unhandled error occurs, the error page at root level gets called. How can I make it redirect to the one at Shared folder level? I want to do this becasuse, currently I am getting error as "could not load type System.Web.Mvc.ViewPage" when any error is occuring.     I have the following XML in a string named 'xml': <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?> <Book> <Page> <Text>Blah</Text> </Page> </Book> I'm trying to get the value Blah out of it but I'm having trouble with xml.etree.cElementTree. I've tried the find() and findtext() methods but nothing. Eventually I did this: import xml.etree.cElementTree as ET ... root = ET.fromstring(xml) element = root.getchildren()[0].getchildren()[0] Element now equals the element, which is what I want (for this solution anyway), but how do I get the inner text from it? element.text does not work. Any ideas? PS: I am using Python 2.5 atm. As an extra question: what is a better way to parse xml strings in python?

  • Flex AdvancedDataGrid with Grouping, how do I get objects to appear under first GroupingField if the

    I am using an AdvancedDataGrid with two GroupingFields. The dataProvider has a list of objects with these two field values, but occasionally the second field value can be null. When it loads, the AdvancedDataGrid UI has a root folder (first GroupingField) and some additional subfolders (second GroupingField). This is all good. However, the objects with a null value for the second GroupingField, just get placed in a subfolder with no label. I want the objects with a null second GroupingField value to appear as leaf nodes beneath the root folder (first GroupingField) minus the blank subfolder. A good way to picture this would be a file explorer. Is there a good way to do this? Make the folder icon disappear maybe after expanding this node through actionscript?     Hi, I am getting this error in my terminal when i execute the command above, Deans-MacBook:depot dean$ rake db:create RAILS_ENV='development' (in /Users/dean/src/RailsBook/depot) Couldn't create database for {"username"=>"root", "adapter"=>"mysql", "database"=>"depot_development", "host"=>"localhost", "password"=>nil}, charset: utf8, collation: utf8_unicode_ci (if you set the charset manually, make sure you have a matching collation) In database config file i have the following: development: adapter: mysql database: depot_development username: root password: host: localhost I have the mysql gem installed and now i am unsure on what to do next.     I am getting "too many connections" problem in an Asp .Net Mvc application which get fix when i manually kill process through Mysql v6.56 IDE, But on remote hosting computer where i can't kill process each time how can i fix this error. I have tried making a connection to information_schema DB's PROCESSLIST table but when connection is about to execute command there comes an error "access denied of root@loclahostto information_schema". I also have tried to grant all privileges to root@loclahost but still i am not able to fix this problem. I have been coding the same way from last two years but in this application i am getting this problem i have use close each connection in every method. Please if some one have ever got this problem or know the answer.Please help me. Thanx in advance
