  • Core Data: migrating entities with self-referential properties

    My Core Data model contains an entity, Shape, that has two self-referential relationships, which means four properties. One pair is a one-to-many relationship (Shape.containedBy <- Shape.contains) and the another is a many-to-many relationship (Shape.nextShapes <<- Shape.previousShapes). It all works perfectly in the application, so I don't think self-referencing relationships is a problem in general. Anyway, the really big problem is that I can't even look at this Mapping Property as Xcode crashes as soon as I select the entity mapping when viewing the mapping model. So I'm a bit lost really where to go from here. I really can't remove the self-referential properties, so I'm thinking I've got manually create a mapping model that compiles? Any ideas? Cheers

    I'm playing around with Google Analytics goals / funnels. I would like to use this to track a checkout process, but the web flow urls are formated in a way that makes this very hard. Would it be possible to change: http://localhost:8080/checkout/checkout?execution=e1s2 .. into something more like this: http://localhost:8080/checkout/checkout/shipping?execution=e1s2 or any thing else that would make them more trackable with Google Analytics?

  • Get subdomain of XML page from XSL

    I am working with a guild hosting site that provides an XML/XSL transformation widget where all I need to do is enter the URL for the XML and XSL and it does the rest. I have written an XSL transform to display a World of Warcraft armory page: Here is an example XML page (view source to see it) of the group I'm trying to help now. So, the user is entering their own XML page url (which has an eu subdomain in this case, but it is not within the XML itself). So when I make links to the character url, I need to add the entire url <a target="_blank" href="http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?{@url}"> <xsl:value-of select="@name"/> </a> But I can't just set the domain to eu since there are multiple regions. Here are the possibilities: us = www, europe = eu, korea = kr, china = cn and taiwan = tw. Here is a snippet of the XML which shows the url parameters: <character achPoints="4275" classId="3" genderId="0" level="80" name="Virtex" raceId="4" rank="2" url="r=Drek%27Thar&amp;cn=Virtex"/> I guess I could just have the user add a small bit of HTML with their region in another part of their page, something like <div id="region">eu</div>, but I'm trying to make this work without any extra coding on their part.   • Using PHP to get the source code of a URL I must be logged in to reach

    I am trying to write a PHP script that will get the source code of a page in my Amazon account. However, to reach that page, I must be logged in. From what I understand, I should be able to accomplish this by posting the correct request headers, and then capturing the HTML response. Is that correct? If so, I'd really appreciate it if someone could explain to me how exactly I would do this. If it's not right, I'd love to hear the correct way of doing it! I've used Firebug to get the request and response headers I need. It's just a matter of what to do with them now. I read elsewhere on this site that you can't send a request with the PHP post method, and that perhaps using cURL is the way to go. I really know nothing about cURL, so the more info the better. Also, feel free to point me to some useful tutorials on this topic. Thanks! Max

  • Certificate revocation check fails for non-domain guest in spite of accessible CRL

    When we try to use certificates on computers that are not part of the domain, Windows complains that The revocation function was unable to check revocation because the revocation server was offline. However, if I manually open the certificate and check the CRL Distribution Point property, I see an ldap:/// URL and an http:// URL that points to externally-accessible IIS site that hosts the CRLs. Of course, the non-domain-joined client cannot access the ldap:/// URL, but it can download the CRL from the http:// link (at least in a browser). I enabled CAPI logging and I see the event that corresponds to this failed revocation check. The RevocationInfo section is: RevocationInfo [ freshnessTime] PT11H27M4S RevocationResult The revocation function was unable to check revocation because the revocation server was offline.     What are the database abstractions/adapters you are using in Ruby? I am mainly interested in data oriented features, not in those with object mapping (like active record or data mapper). I am currently using Sequel. Are there any other options? I am mostly interested in: simple, clean and non-ambiguous API data selection (obviously), filtering and aggregation raw value selection without field mapping: SELECT col1, col2, col3 = [val1, val2, val3] not hash of { :col1 = val1 ...} API takes into account table schemas 'some_schema.some_table' in a consistent (and working) way; also reflection for this (get schema from table) database reflection: get list of table columns, their database storage types and perhaps adaptor's abstracted types table creation, deletion be able to work with other tables (insert, update) in a loop enumerating selection from another table without requiring to fetch all records from table being enumerated Purpose is to manipulate data with unknown structure at the time of writing code, which is the opposite to object mapping where structure or most of the structure is usually well known. (note: for those who work with JBPM might already familiar with following data structures and HB mapping) Class LongInstance extends from VariableInstance, with the mapping for field "value" overridden in LongInstance. The mapping for VariableInstance is here and for LongInstance here. VariableInstance is polymorphically mapped to a collection in TokenVariableMap, the mapping is here. The question: how can I query the polymorphic collection using specific/overridden property of the member class? I'm looking for something like this "... from TokenVariableMaps tvm left join fetch tvm.variableInstances tvi where cast(tvi as LongInstance).value in(:vars)"

  • Best way to format a query string in an asp.net mvc url?

    I've noticed that if you sent a query string routevalue through asp.net mvc you end up with all whitespaces urlencoded into "%20". What is the best way of overriding this formatting as I would like whitespace to be converted into the "+" sign? I was thinking of perhaps using a custom Route object or a class that derives from IRouteHandler but would appreciate any advice you might have.

  • Why SELECT N + 1 with no foreign keys and LINQ?

    I have a database that unfortunately have no real foreign keys (I plan to add this later, but prefer not to do it right now to make migration easier). I have manually written domain objects that map to the database to set up relationships (following this tutorial http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/43025/A-LINQ-Tutorial-Mapping-Tables-to-Objects), and I've finally gotten the code to run properly. However, I've noticed I now have the SELECT N + 1 problem.     I am integrating WebKit (via Qt) into an application. Instead of having WebKit retrieve scripts, CSS files and images via URLs, I want my application to provide them (e.g. retrieved from a database). For example, a "regular" web page may contain this tag: <IMG src="photos/album1/123456.jpg"> Instead of WebKit fetching this image from a server or the file system, I would prefer some kind of callback that allows my application to provide this image. How can I accomplish this?
