  • iPhone: How to Maintain Original Image Size Thoughout Image Edits

    hi, I am developing an iPhone app that resizes and merges images. I want to select two photos of size 1600x1200 from photo library and then merge both into a single image and save that new image back to the photo library. However, I can't get the right size for the merged image. I take two image views of frame 320x480 and set the view's image to my imported images. After manipulating the images (zooming, cropping, rotating), I then save the image to album. When I check the image size it shows 600x800. How do I get the original size of 1600*1200? I've been stuck on this problem from two weeks! Thanks in advance.

XCode 3 provides templates for both static libraries and unit tests but I am wondering how they should fit together in a static library project? In my static library project I have created a target for unit testing but expect to also create an executable to kick off the unit tests than run against the classes in the static library. What is the procedure for doing this?

    Hi, I would like to create my own data format for an iPhone app. The files should be similar structured as e.g. Apple's iWork files (.pages). That means, I have a folder with some files in it: The file 'Juicy.fruit' contains: Fruits ---> Apple.xml ---> Banana.xml ---> Pear.xml ---> PreviewPicture.png This folder "Fruits" should be packed in a handy file 'Juicy.fruit'. Compression isn't necessary. How could I achieve this? I've discovered some open source ZIP-libraries. However, I would like to to build my own data format with the iPhones built-in libs (if possible). Best regards, Stefan

  • How can I create a button with a UIActivityIndicator in my navigation bar with the same style as nor

    All of the examples I've seen on here and other sites involved creating a UIActivityIndicatorView and loading it with something like: self.navigationItem.rightBarButtonItem = [[[UIBarButtonItem alloc] initWithCustomView:myActivityIndicatorView target:nil action:nil] autorelease]; However, that just creates a plain activity indicator in the navigation bar. What I want to do is have a button that looks just like the normal UIBarButtonSystemItem buttons but with an activity indicator instead of one of the default images. I've tried doing initWithImage and initWithTitle with nil images or titles and then adding the activity indicator as a subview, but that doesn't work. Any ideas?

    I have a table view in which if each cell is touched video plays. Each cell have image of the video cell.imageView.image. And on the image I have a button (UIButton) with play symbol. If I touch the play button the corresponding video should be played same like the when cell is touched. I have a selector for the play button. But I need (NSIndex*)indexPath to get the current row. But I can't access the indexPath in my selector. How can I make this? Thank You.

  • UIDisplayLink stops updating when UIScrollView scrolled

    Title is quite self explanatory, but I have some animation being done in a loop triggered by UIDisplayLink. However, as soon as I scroll a UIScrollView I have added to my view hierarchy, the animation stops immediately, only to return again when scrolling has completely stopped and come to a standstill.... Anyway to cancel this behaviour?

    Hi, I have a UITableView with a list of items such as item1, item2, item3, item4 and so on. If I select on item1, it will go to the detail view of item1 (which is controlled by DetailsViewController). What I am trying to do is to add a button called "Next" on DetailsView. When clicked, the DetailsView will refresh and show item2. When clicked again, it will show item3 and so on. I have been searching high and low for that to implement. But to no avail.   • Setting default language for iPhone app on first run

    I'm developing an application that should support two languages: English and French. However because English translation is not done yet we want to deploy it in French only and later on add English translation later on. The problem is that I don't want to strip English language out of my code since some parts are already done, there are different NIBs for that language etc. Instead I'd just want english language to be temporary disabled in my app. What I did is I put this code as the first instruction of - (BOOL)application:(UIApplication *)application didFinishLaunchingWithOptions:(NSDictionary *)launchOptions NSUserDefaults *defaults = [NSUserDefaults standardUserDefaults]; [defaults setObject:[NSArray arrayWithObjects:@"fr", nil] forKey:@"AppleLanguages"]; [defaults synchronize]; It works fine except for one thing. When you launch the application for the first time after installation it's still in English. That's probably because AppleLanguages preference was not yet set for it. After I quit the application and start it again it's being displayed correctly in French. Does anyone knows a fix so that French language was applied also on the first run?

    Hi there, We have developed an application for a company who want to release it under their own account. It has been developed on our account and has had provisioning profiles attached to it from our own account. What is the best way to do this? Do I have to send them the xCode project and talk them through how to attack a provisioning profile to the project? Or can I just get their login details and create a provisioning profile from the Mac in the office and do it for them? Or is there a "transfer to different account" option? Many thanks!

  • Google Drive Update keeps throwing an error when I try to save a thumbnail

    The Base64 string checks out fine. I was able to export it to another website and download it again as my image. When I try to do an update using the Drive Javascript api, it just keeps returning this error: Invalidvaluefor:Notavalidbase64bytestring I also true making the string URL safe.     I am trying to make an imageview that rotates while sliding across the screen. I setup a rotate animation for 180 degrees, and it works by itself. I setup a translate animation and it works by itself. When I combine them I get an imageview that makes a big spiral. I would like the imageview to rotate around the center of the imageview while being translated. AnimationSet animSet = new AnimationSet(true); //Translate upwards and to the right.   • Who should call viewDidLoad on progammatically loaded views?

    When I need to load a view programatically I do the following: MyController* myController = [[MyController alloc] init]; [[NSBundle mainBundle] loadNibNamed:@"myNib" owner:myController options:nil]; // use my controller here, eg. push it in the nav controller This works fine, but my controller's viewDidLoad is never called. So I resorted to manually calling it after the loadNibNamed call, but it doesn't seem correct. I was expecting the framework to call the viewDidLoad on my behalf. Is this the right way or I'm missing something?

  • Change Default Contact Application in Eclipse

    Hi I am running eclipse on windows XP. I am trying to make changes in Default Contact Application and make it a separate apk file. But due to dependancies on other libraries it's showing me compile errors. How can this be resolved? So that I can make a new contact application using current code base. Thanks, Saurabh
