  I am making my second application for the Windows 7 Phone Series platform and I cannot seem to connect to a SharePoint server using https. 99% of the following is not my code. I have borrowed it from http://blog.daisley-harrison.com/blog/post/Practical-Silverlight-and-SharePoint-Integration-Part-Two.aspx untill I can further understand how SOAP works in W7P Series. I know that I need some way of sending credentials over but the win 7 API does not seem to let you. If you dig down into the error output it says access is denied. I have tried various methods of sending credentials but none seem to work. "ClientCredentials.Windows" is not supported and ClientCredentials.UsersName.Username is read only.

• dynamically drawing polylines on googlemaps using php/mysql

  Hi. I am new to the googlemaps API. I have written a small app for my mobile phone that periodically updates its location to an SQL databse. I would like to display this information on a googlemap in my browser. Ideally i'd like to then poll the database periodically and if any new co-ords have arrived, add them to the line. Best way of describing it is this; http://tiny.cc/HEIa0 In a quest to get to there, i've started on the documents on google and been modifying them to try and acheive what I want. It doesn't work - and i don't know enough to know why. I would love some advice as to why, and any pointers towards my ultimate goal would be very much welcomed.   Hi, I'm building a twitter reader into an app. I'm using this JSON library to parse the twitter API. I'm seeing some odd results on certain messages. I know that the Twitter API returns results in UTF8 format. I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong when reading the JSON parsed fields. My code is spread out across multiple classes so it's hard to give a concise code drop with the symptoms, but here's what I've got: I am using ASIHTTP for async HTTP processing. Here is processing a response from ASIHTTP: ... • NHibernate Mapping and Querying Where Tables are Related But No Foreign Key Constraint

  I'm fairly new to NHibernate, and I need to ask a couple of questions relating to a very frequent scenario. The following simplified example illustrates the problem. I have two tables named Equipment and Users. Users is a set of system administrators. Equipment is a set of machinery. Tables: Users table has UserId int and LoginName nvarchar(64). Equipment table has EquipId int, EquipType nvarchar(64), UpdatedBy int. Behavior: System administrators can make changes to Equipment, and when they do, the UpdatedBy field of Equipment is "normally" set to their User Id. Users can be deleted at any time. New Equipment items have an UpdatedBy value of null. There's no foreign key constraint on Equipment.UpdatedBy which means: Equipment.UpdatedBy can be null. Equipment.UpdatedBy value can be = existing User.UserId value Equipment.UpdatedBy value can be = non-existent User.UserId value To find Equipment and who last updated the Equipment, I might query like this: select E.EquipId, E.EquipName, U.UserId, U.LoginName from Equipment E left outer join Users U on. E.UpdatedBy = U.UserId Simple enough. So how to do that in NHibernate? If I can tell NHibernate to do the query in one hit, how do I do that? Time is of the essence on my project, so any help you could provide is gratefully received. • How do I make this scroll layout work?

  I am currently trying to get my UI to have a Title Bar, a bottom Button bar, with a ScrollView in between. I can get bits and pieces of it to work, but once I get a different piece working, the old part goes back to not showing up. Here is a picture of my UI on the left, with what I want it to look like on the right...(sorry for the sloppiness, I edited it in MS Paint :P ) To sum it up, I want the Version and Type fields to be moved with room for the other TextViews in the XML file, and I want both buttons to appear on the bottom bar. • Spring / Hibernate / JUnit - No Hibernate Session bound to Thread

  Hi I'm trying to access the current hibernate session in a test case, and getting the following error: org.hibernate.HibernateException: No Hibernate Session bound to thread, and configuration does not allow creation of non-transactional one here at org.springframework.orm.hibernate3.SpringSessionContext.currentSession(SpringSessionContext.java:63) at org.hibernate.impl.SessionFactoryImpl.getCurrentSession(SessionFactoryImpl.java:574) I've clearly missed some sort of setup, but not sure what. In order to do this I need to find the column chart on the stage using actionscript. So in short, at run time I want to, with as little code as possible, identify the column chart in the active tab so I can redraw it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

• Seemingly simple skinning problem in Flex4; style gives disco effect

  I'm doing something wrong, but I can't figure out what. Simple project in flex4, whereby I create a skinned combobox (fragments at end). If I turn on the 3 skin references (over-skin, up-skin, down-skin), the combobox appears to simply stop working. If I remove the up-skin, hovering over the combo produces a flickering effect, where it appears to apply the style, then remove it immediately. I get the same thing with a button instead of a combo. • How to resolve "HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden" errors from iCal/CalDAV server after upgrade to Snow Leopard Server?

  We recently upgraded our Open Directory Master & Replica to Mac OS X 10.6.4 Snow Leopard Server. We had a mismatched server FQDN & LDAP Search Base/Kerberos Realm, so we exported all users & groups, created the new Open Directory Master w/matching FQDN & Search Base/Realm, reimported users & groups, and re-bound all servers & workstations to the new OD Master. At the same time as all of this, we upgraded our iCal/CalDAV server to Mac OS X 10.6.4 Snow Leopard Server. Ever since doing so, we've seen the following issues with our iCal/CalDAV server and iCal clients on both Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard & Mac OS X 10.6: If a user attempts to move or delete an event (single or repeating) that was created prior to the upgrade to 10.6 Server, they get the following error: Access to "blah" in "blah" in account "blah" is not permitted. The server responded: "HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden" to operation CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation. New users added to the directory get the following error when attempting to add their account to in iCal's preferences: The user "blah" has no configured pricipals. Confirm with your network administrator that your account has at least one CalDAV principal configured. Interestingly, we've since discovered that users seem to be able to delete individual events from an old repeating event without error, but that's a massive amount of work to get rid of a repeating event. I will note that we have not yet added an SRV record in DNS as instructed on page 19 of iCal_Server_Admin_v10.6.pdf. Further Investigation: In this particular case, a user is attempting to decline repeating events created prior to the upgrade to Snow Leopard Server. Granting the user full write access with sudo calendarserver_manage_principals --add-write-proxy users:user1 users:user2 (which did work) doesn't allow deletion of the events. Still get the usual error: Access to "blah blah" in "blah blah" in account "blah blah" is not permitted. The server responded: "HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden" to operation CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation. I did delete the one for the organizer's calendars and it took longer to process the attempted event delete while it rebuilt the database, but still errored out in the end. I see lots of questions about this in my Google searches, but not solutions and this is a widespread problem on our iCal Server. Now, we mostly try to get users to ignore them (hence the amount of time this question has been open), but every now and then I dig in deeper trying to find the culprit and/or solution.

• getting base64 content string of an image from a mimepart in Java

  Hello, I am trying to get the base64 content of a MimePart in a MimeMultiPart, but I'm struggling with the Javamail package. I simply want the base64 encoded String of a certain inline image, there doesn't seem to be an easy way to do this though. This is fairly frustrating for me, since all I want is a piece of the text that I'm already printing, but I'd rather not have to search through the mime string myself for the correct part, introducing all kinds of bugs.So I'd really prefer to use the Javamail library but could use some help on how to actually get that correct mime string.

• Flex/PHP/XML data issue

  I have built a simple application in Flex. When the application loads, a GET request is made to the xmlService.php file with parameters "fetchData=letters". This tells the PHP to return the XML code. In Flex Debug I can see the XML data being sent by the PHP to the flex client. What I need it to do is populate the first drop down box (id="letter") with this data, however nothing is being received by Flex. I added an Alert.show() to check what was being returned but when the application runs, the alert is blank. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance. • handling filename* parameters with spaces via RFC 5987 results in '+' in filenames

  I have some legacy code I am dealing with (so no I can't just use a URL with an encoded filename component) that allows a user to download a file from our website. Since our filenames are often in many different languages they are all stored as UTF-8. I wrote some code to handle the RFC5987 conversion to a proper filename* parameter. This works great until I have a filename with non-ascii characters and spaces. Per RFC, the space character is not part of attr_char so it gets encoded as %20. I have new versions of Chrome as well as Firefox and they are all converting to %20 to + on download. I have tried not encoding the space and putting the encoded filename in quotes and get the same result. I have sniffed the response coming from the server to verify that the servlet container wasn't mucking with my headers and they look correct to me. The RFC even has examples that contain %20. Am I missing something, or do all of these browsers have a bug related to this? Many thanks in advance. The code I use to encode the filename is below.   hi guys, I have to create a script that takes a mySQL table, and exports it into .XSL format, and then saves that file into a specified folder on the web host. I got it working, but now I can't seem to get it to automatically save the file to the location without prompting the user. It needs to run every day at a specified time, so it can save the previous days leads into a .XSL file on the web host.   I'm trying to get some code I was passed up and running. It appears to use the Hibernate framework. I've gotten past most of the errors tweaking the configuration, but this one has me dead stumped. It's trying to connect to two databases: gameapp and gamelog. Both exist. It seems to have issues connecting to gamelog, but none connecting to gameapp (later in the init, it connects to and loads other DBs just fine). Below, I've pasted the error and exception stack dump. When I double-click a .wlog file, it opens up my application. However, it doesn't open the correct file. I read somewhere that JNLP was supposed to pass parameters to the main method indicating which file caused the app to be launched, but this is not happening (on OS X 10.6). I get an empty array to my application's main method. Probably unrelated, my splash screen doesn't work :( Any pointers on getting this working?

• news feed using .Net Dataservices / OData / Atom ?

  Let's say I have an web CMS type application, and an EDM model with an entity called 'article', and I need to offer the ability for client applications, to a read/query the articles (and other resources stored in our database) a straightforward syndication feed of these articles to end users (along the lines of a simple RSS feed) It seems to me that for the first task, and .net 4's dataservice would be perfect for the job. For the second case, I'm wondering (a) whether atom the right format to choose - I think it is - and (b) whether it's possible to achieve such a feed using the same ado.net OData service. Stackoverflow itself uses an atom feed in that fashion, so it should be possible. Right? So I suppose my question is; Is there a way to make the ado.net dataservice Atom feed look like something suitable for your average news feed reader? - OR, am I using the wrong tool for the wrong purposes, and should I be looking elsewhere (.net syndication API's perhaps)?
