So I follow this: http://www.gitready.com/advanced/2009/02/10/squashing-commits-with-rebase.html I did $ git rebase --interactive HEAD~2 It opens an editor I change 'pick' to 'squash' Save the editor But i get 'Cannot 'squash' without a previous commit' so what can I do to recover?   • How to import php with javascript?

    I know JavaScript is client side and PHP is server-side. I also know this is an odd question. However, the CMS editor I'm using will not allow php to be stored to the database (it's the same editor used by Dupral). I can store JavaScript though. Can I import a php file with JavaScript. Or rather read the php file, store the content in a variable then out put the content to the screen?

    I'm writing a document using markdown, which I'm exporting to a PDF using pandoc. At the end of the document I need to have space for signatures on a printed copy of the PDF. I've tried to find how to draw a line with a fixed width, but so far I only got to escaping the underscore character, which doesn't feel quite right. It's as if I'm missing something, this couldn't possibly be that unusual to want to do. Any help or pointers are greatly appreciated.

    I am looking at whether or not certain 'systems' for betting really do work as claimed, namely, that they have a positive expectation. One such system is based on the rebate on loss. You basically have a large master pot, say $1 million. Your bankroll for each game is $50k. The way it works, is as follows: 1) Start with $50k, always bet on banker 2) If you win, add the money to the master pot. Then play again with $50k. 3) If you lose(now you're at $30k) play till you either: (a) hit 0, you get a rebate of 10%. Begin playing again with $50k+5k=$55k. (b) If you win more than the initial bankroll, add the money to the master pot. Then play again with $50k. 4) Continue until you double the master pot. I just cant find an easy way of programming out the possible cases in R, since you can eventually go down an improbable path. For example, you start at 50k, lose 20, win 19, now you're at 49, now you lose 20, lose 20, now youre at 9, you either lose 9 and get back 5k or you win and this cycle continues until you either end up with more than 50k or hit 0 and get the rebate on the 50k and start again with $50k +5k. Here's some code i started, but i havent figured out a good way of handling the cases where you get stuck and keeping track of the number of games played. Thanks again for your help. My first option was Jasper Reports, but the jar is over 2Mb, a little too heavy (and too bloated) for my needs. I don't know if there is modular jasper distribution, with funcionalities split in several jars (like html rendering, pdf, excel, compilation, runtime, etc). I need to preview the report using Swing and print it. PDF export is a plus.

  • How do I get mercurial to show the diff during `hg com`?

    Is there a way to configure hg com so that in the commit message file that pops up in the external editor, instead of just showing which files were changed (in the HG: lines) it actually shows the full diff?   • creating a full html file out of webloc in a batch mode

    Hi, I've got over 400 bookmarks saved as .webloc files. I'd like to move them to the iPhone's goodReader app. goodReader cannot open webloc files. It can sork with pdf, html but not webloc. Do you know of a way or a program that would take a folder as its input, and convert every single .webloc file in it into a PDF version or a html version - so I can grab the converted files and move them onto iPhone.   • Eclipse question - panels don't get restored when double clicking

    You know how, in Eclipse, when you double click on a file tab (which shows the class name), the editor gets expanded to the whole screen minimizing other panels? Well normally I just double click again on the tab to restore everything, but all of the sudden double clicking again doesnt do anything (the editor remains in full screen and all other panels minimized)! I am not sure what I did to cause this. Any ideas how to get it back to normal? Thanks.

  • How do you prevent a Hudson slave from archiving artifacts?

    It turns out our slaves spend a considerable amount of time moving the archived artifacts back to the master Hudson node. It at least triples the duration of the build. It would be nice if there would be a way to prevent it. However, setting the maximum number of builds to keep doesn't have an influence at all. Is there another way to prevent sending the results back to the central Hudson master?
