    I am given: An excel sheet contains around 200 tasks (described in rows 2-201 in Column A). Each task can be elegible for a max of two projects (There are 4 projects in total, called "P1-P4" - drop down lists in Columns B and D); and this with a specific %-rate allocation (columns C & E - Column C refers to the Project Column B, and Column E refers to the Project in Column D). Column F shows the amount of work days spent on each task. Example in row 2: Task 1 (Column A); P1 (Column B) ; 80% (Column C) ; P3 (Column D) ; 20% (Column E) ; 3 (Column F) I need to know the sum of the working days spent on Project P3 respecting the %-rate for elegibility. I know how to calculate it for each Task (each Row) - e.g. for Task 1: =IF(B2="P3";C2*F2)+IF(D2="P3";E2*F2) However instead of repeating this for each task, I need a formula that adds them all together. Unfortunately the following formula shows me an error: =IF(B2:B201="P3";C2:C201*F2:F201)+IF(D2:D201="P3";E2:E201*F2:F201) Can anyone help please? Thank you!!

I have one share definition for 3 client (A,B,C) This share contain some excel file which having a lot of formula and linked each other. Client A access the file with libre office (ubuntu), client B access with WinXP & MS Office 2003, The write and read process working successfuly on Both of them. The problem occur when client C accessing the same file with MS Excel 2003 (windows xp). This messagebox appear when he saving the file : Microsoft office excel cannot access the \\192.168.1.23\myshare\ There are several possible reasons: - The File ort path does not exist The file is being used by another program. - The workbook you are trying to save has the same name as a - Currently open workbooks. I was trying http://support.microsoft.com/kb/291204 but it didnt work.   • How to repair a corrupted Excel file

    I'm trying to restore some files for a friend who messed up a USB stick by pulling it out of the computer too soon. By searching invisible partitions I was able to restore the files. All files are intact, except 1 excel file that seems to be corrupted. I've googled about ways to repair an Excel file, because the default repair options in Excel 2003-2010 do not work for this file. I've came across a numerous third-party apps, of which the one seemes to be able to do the job: Recovery Toolbox for Excel. Of-course, this and all other apps I found require a purchase to actually repair the file. It seems a bit silly to pay 30 dollars for a one time thing, and something that is not for myself. So, I would like to keep that as a last-resort option. Is there anything I can try to fix this? I've attached a screenshot of how the file looks when I open it on my OSX when converted to a HTML file (to view the code), for the option that it could be a character set problem.

    Within our LAN, there are two Windows 2003 servers with the Active Directory role. Both these servers have the time service configured to query NTP servers on the internet for the accurate time. That works fine. I've just installed XenServer v5.6 and it's asked me for the IP address of an NTP server. Without tweaking the firewall, I cannot configure this server to reference an internet based NTP server. But can I configure it to use the IP address of the internal AD servers, i.e. do AD servers also act as NTP servers to other computers? Thanks, Rob.

  • Is it possible create a 4TB bootable partition in the x86 edition of Windows Server 2003 Enterprise?

    I'd like to find out if there is any way to accomplish this, since it would benifit my storage server greatly. I am using a Promise FastTrak 8660 and five Seagate ST31000340NS 1TB drives in a RAID 5 array. I figure that if the x86 ENTERPRISE edition of Server 2003 can handle 64GB of RAM, it should have no problem supporting larger HDD volumes as well. I've read (somewhere...) that the Windows Server operating systems are not limited to the standard 2TB like Windows XP and 2000 are. I'm hoping it's something that just needs to be turned on, similar to the way PAE works for the 4GB RAM limit in x86 servers.

    I have a windows 2003 server on a domain and client PCs running XP on a workgroup. I have created a file share on the server that should be accessible by the client PCs. I even set the security and sharing to 'Everyone' just to test. When I try to access the file share from any of the XP machines, I get an authentication prompt that displays asking for credentials, even though 'Everyone' has full control currently (just for testing purposes). Why is it asking to authenticate? I need it to where it doesn't ask to authenticate. I also made sure passwords were set on all XP machines since I found this could be one possible issue and they all were. Any ideas? Thanks!

    So I was asked to set up an Exchange Activesync mobile gateway. That's done. It's a separat eExchange 2003 front-end server configured for SSL, and I've put an off-domain ISA server in front of it. Now I'm being asked to limit which users can connect to it. By default an Exchange front-end server allows any user who has a mail account to connect to the front -end server. So I'm looking at the permissions on the various IIS sites/apps on the server, but I know that it's easy to break Exchange Front-end server perms. So I've got the following in IIS: Exadmin Exchange EchWeb Microsoft-SErver-ActiveSync MobileAdmin OMA And a couple of others that I dont think are relevant. Can I change the permissions on one of these to restrict who can connect to Activesync? As a bonus: Can I do it in a way that does not affect ordinary browser based Exchange Access?   • Psexec issue when running an application on a Windows Server 2008 R2 machine from a 2003 R2 machine

    I am trying to run an application on a Windows Server 2008 R2 machine from a Windows Server 2003 R2 machine using a batch file with the following line of code in a batch file: psexec \\nightmachine -u DOMAIN\User -p Password -i "C:\FilePath\Application.exe" argument1 argument2 The application fails to run correctly when started using psexec, but the application will run correctly if I have logged into the nightmachine with the same user and started it from its file path via cmd. I have been able to get hold of the error returned in the application from its log and the exception returned is the following: System.DllNotFoundException: Unable to load DLL 'rasapi32.dll': A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007045A) After searching for that error code on the net, there are a lot of posts saying that this is caused by file corruption, but I cant see why that would be the case as the application will run normally when not being run from psexec. (the user is an administrator on both machines) Can anyone please help me on this? If any more information is needed to help solve this issue then please ask and I will do my best to post it.
