  • How to find problem with PHP XSLTProcessor when return from transformToXML is false and libxml_get_

    - by John
    I'm working on the code below to allow HTTP user agents that cannot perform XSL transformations to view the resources on my server. I'm mystified because the result of transformToXML is false, but the result of libxml_get_errors() is an empty array. As you can see, the code outputs the LibXSLT version ID and I'm getting the problem on WinVista with version 1.1.24. Is libxml_get_errors() not the right function to get the errors from the XSLTProcessor object? If you're interested in the XML documents, you can get them from http://bobberinteractive.com/index.xhtml and .../stylesheets/layout.xsl <?php //redirect browsers that can handle the source files. if (strpos ( $_SERVER ['HTTP_ACCEPT'], 'application/xhtml+xml' )) { header ( "HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently" ); header ( "Location: http://" . $_SERVER ['SERVER_NAME'] . "/index.xhtml" ); header ( "Content-Type: text/text" ); echo "\nYour browser is capable of processing the <a href='/index.xhtml' site contents on its own."; die (); } //start by checking the template $baseDir = dirname ( __FILE__ ); $xslDoc = new DOMDocument (); if (! $xslDoc-load ( $baseDir . '/stylesheets/layout.xsl' )) { header ( "HTTP/1.1 500 Server Error" ); header ( "Content-Type: text/plain" ); echo "\n Can't load " . $baseDir . '/stylesheets/layout.xsl'; die (); } //resolve the requested resource (browsers that need transformation will request the resource without the suffix) $uri = $_SERVER ['REQUEST_URI']; $len = strlen ( $uri ); if (1 = $len || '/' == substr ( $uri, $len - 1 )) { $fileName = $baseDir . "/index.xhtml"; // use 'default' document if pathname ends in '/' } else { $fileName = $baseDir . (1 load ( $fileName )) { header ( "HTTP/1.1 500 Server Error" ); echo "\n Can't load " . $fileName; die (); } // now start the XSL template processing $proc = new XSLTProcessor (); $proc-importStylesheet ( $xslDoc ); $doc = $proc-transformToXML ( $xmlDoc ); if (false === $doc) { header ( "HTTP/1.1 500 Server Error" ); header ( "Content-Type: text/plain" ); echo "\n"; // HERE is where it gets strange: the value of $doc is false and libxml_get_errors returns 0 entries. display_xml_errors ( libxml_get_errors() ); die (); } header ( "Content-Type: text/html" ); echo "\n"; echo $doc; function display_xml_errors($errors) { echo count ( $errors ) . " Error(s) from LibXSLT " . LIBXSLT_DOTTED_VERSION; for($i = 0; $i level) { case LIBXML_ERR_WARNING : $return .= "Warning $error-code: "; break; case LIBXML_ERR_ERROR : $return .= "Error $error-code: "; break; case LIBXML_ERR_FATAL : $return .= "Fatal Error $error-code: "; break; } $return .= trim ( $error-message ) .   • What is the correct syntax for XSD to restrict attrributes values in the elements list?

    - by Leonard
    What is the correct syntax for XSD schema to define the following restriction: In the list of elements we have to specify that attribute can contain value of "c" unlimited number of times, but value of "b" - the zero or only one time. For example, the correct xml looks like this: <root> <elem atr="c">111</elem> <elem atr="c">222</elem> <elem atr="b">333</elem> <elem atr="c">444</elem> <elem atr="c">555</elem> </root> And incorrect one is: <root> <elem atr="c">111</elem> <elem atr="c">222</elem> <elem atr="b">333</elem> <elem atr="c">444</elem> <elem atr="b">555</elem> </root>

  • JAXB: Unmarshalling does not always populate certain classes?

    - by user278458
    Hello, I have a JAXB class generation problem I was hoping to get some help with. Here's the part of the XML that is the source of my problem... Code: <xs:complexType name="IDType"> <xs:choice minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="2"> <xs:element name="DriversLicense" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="1" type="an..35" /> <xs:element name="SSN" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="1" type="an..35" /> <xs:element name="CompanyID" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="1" type="an..35" /> </xs:choice> </xs:complexType> <xs:simpleType name="an..35"> <xs:restriction base="an"> <xs:maxLength value="35" /> </xs:restriction> </xs:simpleType> <xs:simpleType name="an"> <xs:restriction base="xs:string"> <xs:pattern value="[ !-~]*" /> </xs:restriction> </xs:simpleType> ...now this will generate JAXBElement types due the the "choice" with a "maxOccurs 1" . I want to avoid those, so I did that by modifying the code to use a "Wrapper" element and move the maxOccurs up to a sequence tag as follows... Code: <xs:complexType name="IDType"> <xs:sequence maxOccurs="2"> <xs:element name=Wrapper> <xs:complexType> <xs:choice> <xs:element name="DriversLicense" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="1" type="an..35" /> <xs:element name="SSN" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="1" type="an..35" /> <xs:element name="CompanyID" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="1" type="an..35" /> </xs:choice> </xs:complexType> </xs:element> </xs:sequence> </xs:complexType> <xs:simpleType name="an..35"> <xs:restriction base="an"> <xs:maxLength value="35" /> </xs:restriction> </xs:simpleType> <xs:simpleType name="an"> <xs:restriction base="xs:string"> <xs:pattern value="[ !-~]*" /> </xs:restriction> </xs:simpleType> For class generating, looks like it works great - the JAXB element is replaced with a list of wrappers as String (i.e. List ) and compiles fine. However, when I unmarshall the actual XML data into the generated classes the data in the wrapper class is not populated - yet JAXB does not throw an exception. My question is: Do I need to change the schema a different way to make this work? Or is there something I can add/change/delete to the generated code or annotations? Appreciate any help you can offer! Thanks.

  • XSLT: Get node where one certain value is present

    - by Kim Andersen
    Hi there I have the following XML: <data> <page id="1118"> <itms> <values> <value>1104</value> </values> </itms> </page> <page id="1177"> <itms> <values> <value>1273</value> <value>1215</value> </values> </itms> </page> </data> I need to get the @id from the < page , where a certain value is present in one of the < value -tags. The id that need to be in the < value is kept in this: $itm/@id. This means that if my $itm/@id is equal to 1273, I need to get 1177 returned. I'm not quite sure how to achieve this. Actually I could have XML that looks like this as well: <data> <page id="1118"> <itms> <values> <value>1104</value> </values> </itms> </page> <page id="1177"> <itms> <values> <value>1273</value> <value>1215</value> </values> </itms> </page> <page id="1352"> <itms> <values> <value>1242</value> <value>1273</value> </values> </itms> </page> </data> If that's the case, I need the latest id, so this means that if the $itm/@id matches values in more < page 's, then I need to grab the value from the latest page. I the above case that would be 1352. Hope this makes sense to you guys. And by the way, I work with Umbraco CMS if that does any difference. Best Regards, Kim

  • xmlpullparser(), whats wrong with my code?

    - by Avinazz
    I am expecting output to be an array list filled with all items as "thought" but instead, every time i add a value into arraylist, the previous value in list also gets update with new, hence resulting in duplicates. This behaviour goes on till end. Even though i have achieved the result by changing the approach, failure of my previous approach still bothers me. Any help or pointer will be really appreciated. Below is xml snippet: <Thoughts> <country> <name>India</name> <item> <itemId>1</itemId> <itemDetailImage>detail.png</itemDetailImage> <itemImage>image1.png</itemImage> <itemDesc>Item Description 1</itemDesc> <itemTitle>Item Title 1</itemTitle> </item> <item> <itemId>2</itemId> <itemDetailImage>detail2.png</itemDetailImage> <itemImage>image2.png</itemImage> <itemDesc>Item Description 2</itemDesc> <itemTitle>Item Title 2</itemTitle> </item> <item> <itemId>3</itemId> <itemDetailImage>detail3.png</itemDetailImage> <itemImage>image3.png</itemImage> <itemDesc>Item Description 3</itemDesc> <itemTitle>Item Title 3</itemTitle> </item> Below is a method for my trial and error: private void printAll() throws XmlPullParserException, IOException{ XmlPullParserFactory factory = XmlPullParserFactory.newInstance(); factory.setNamespaceAware(false); XmlPullParser parser = factory.newPullParser(); URL url = new URL("http://192.168.1.3/DefaultXML.xml"); URLConnection ucon = url.openConnection(); InputStream is = ucon.getInputStream(); parser.setInput(is, null); int eventType = parser.getEventType(); String name; while(eventType != parser.END_DOCUMENT){ if(eventType == parser.START_DOCUMENT){ Log.i(TAG,"Start document"); }else if (eventType == parser.START_TAG ) { name = parser.getName(); if(name.equalsIgnoreCase(NAME)){ this.cName = new Country(); this.cName.setName(parser.nextText()); }else if(name.equalsIgnoreCase(ITEM_DESC)){ this.thought.setItemDesc(parser.nextText()); }else if (name.equalsIgnoreCase(ITEM_ID)) { this.thought.setItemID(parser.nextText()); }else if (name.equalsIgnoreCase(ITEM_DETAIL_IMAGE)) { this.thought.setItemDetailImage(parser.nextText()); }else if (name.equalsIgnoreCase(ITEM_IMAGE)) { this.thought.setItemImage(parser.nextText()); }else if (name.equalsIgnoreCase(ITEM_TITLE)) { this.thought.setItemTitle(parser.nextText()); } }else if (eventType == parser.END_TAG) { name = parser.getName(); if(name.equalsIgnoreCase(ITEM)) { this.cName.setThought(this.thought); ctry.add(cName); this.thought = new Thought(); } } eventType = parser.next(); } //Log.i(TAG,"---" + ctry.toString()); }

  • Possible to set two values for two different nodes from user input in XForms?

    - by iHeartGreek
    Hi! I would like to set two values for two different nodes from user input in XForms. I am curious about how this is done, if at all possible. For example, if I have the following data model: <xf:instance id="criteria_data" xmlns=""> <criteria> <set> <root></root> <criterion></criterion> </set> </criteria> </xf:instance> <xf:instance id="choices" xmlns=""> <choices> <root label="The Choices">/AAA</root> <choice label="BBB">/@BBB</choice> </choices> </xf:instance> <xf:instance id="choices" xmlns=""> <choices> <root>/AAA</root> <choice label="BBB">/@BBB</choice> <choice label="CCC">/@CCC</choice> <choices> </xf:instance> <xf:bind id="data_criterion" nodeset="instance('criteria_data')/criteria/set/criterion"/> <xf:bind id="data_root" nodeset="instance('criteria_data')/criteria/set/root"/> <xf:bind id="choices_root" nodeset="instance('choices')/root"/> <xf:bind id="choices" nodeset="instance('choices')/choice"/> and my ui code looks like: <xf:select bind="data_criterion" appearance="full"> <xf:label>Your choices:</xf:label> <xf:itemset bind="choices"> <xf:label ref="@label"></xf:label> <xf:value ref="."></xf:value> </xf:itemset> </xf:select> But I essentially want it to be like this (though this is invalid and does not produce any xml at all): <xf:select appearance="full"> <xf:label>Your choices:</xf:label> <xf:itemset bind="choices"> <xf:label ref="@label"></xf:label> <xf:value bind="data_criterion" ref="."></xf:value> <xf:value bind="data_root" ref="instance('choices')/root"></xf:value> </xf:itemset> </xf:select> The XML output I want to achieve (if user checks "BBB"): <criteria> <set> <root>/AAA</root> <criterion>/@BBB</criterion> </set> </criteria> How can I achieve setting these two nodes for the one checkbox seletion? Hope that all made sense... Thanks! :)

  • XSLT1.0: remove duplicates combined with an xsl:key

    - by Jannibal
    I have the following piece of XML: <research> <research.record> <research.record_number>1</research.record_number> <research.type> <value lang="en-US">some research type</value> </research.type> <research.type> <value lang="en-US">some other type of research</value> </research.type> <project.record> <priref>101</priref> <project.type> <value lang="en-US">some type of project</value> </project.type> </project.record> </research.record> </research> <research> <research.record> <research.record_number>2</research.record_number> <research.type> <value lang="en-US">some other type of research</value> </research.type> <research.type> <value lang="en-US">a third type of research</value> </research.type> <project.record> <priref>101</priref> <project.type> <value lang="en-US">some type of project</value> </project.type> </project.record> </research.record> </research> <research> <research.record> <research.record_number>3</research.record_number> <research.type> <value lang="en-US">some other type of research</value> </research.type> <research.type> <value lang="en-US">a fourth type</value> </research.type> <project.record> <priref>201</priref> <project.type> <value lang="en-US">some other type of project</value> </project.type> </project.record> </research.record> </research> <research> ... etc ... With XSLT 1.0 I transform this XML into a list of unique project records by using xsl:key. So far, so good... The problem is: I also want to show unique research types for each unique project record. My wanted output would be: project.record 101: some research type, some other type of research, a third type of research project.record 201: some other type of research, a fourth type Hope someone can help me out with the right XSLT/XPATH. (Can only use XSLT1.0)

  • simplexml help how do I parse this?

    - by bbutle01
    I haven't done any xml projects, so I'm not quite sure what to do with this data... I'm using curl to make a request to salesforce, and they give me back a response that I need to parse. I want to use simplexml. Here's part of the response: <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns="urn:partner.soap.sforce.com" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <soapenv:Body> <loginResponse> <result> <metadataServerUrl> https://na6-api.salesforce.com/services/Soap/m/18.0/ </metadataServerUrl> <passwordExpired> false </passwordExpired> <sandbox> false </sandbox> <serverUrl> https://na6-api.salesforce.com/services/Soap/u/18.0/ </serverUrl> <sessionId> !AQ4AQLtDIqY. </sessionId> <userId> </userId> <userInfo> <accessibilityMode> false </accessibilityMode> <currencySymbol> $ </currencySymbol> <orgDefaultCurrencyIsoCode> USD </orgDefaultCurrencyIsoCode> <orgDisallowHtmlAttachments> false </orgDisallowHtmlAttachments> <orgHasPersonAccounts> false </orgHasPersonAccounts> <organizationId> </organizationId> <organizationMultiCurrency> false </organizationMultiCurrency> <organizationName> Ox </organizationName> <profileId> sdfgsdfg </profileId> <roleId> sdfgsdfg </roleId> <userDefaultCurrencyIsoCode xsi:nil="true"/> <userEmail> ###@gmail.com </userEmail> <userFullName> ### ### </userFullName> <userId> asdfasdf </userId> <userLanguage> en_US </userLanguage> <userLocale> en_US </userLocale> <userName> [email protected] </userName> <userTimeZone> America/Chicago </userTimeZone> <userType> Standard </userType> <userUiSkin> Theme3 </userUiSkin> </userInfo> </result> </loginResponse> </soapenv:Body> </soapenv:Envelope> Anyway, I expected to feed that stuff (we'll call it data) into $results = simplexml_load_string($data); var_dump($results); And that would give me all the data back... and then to access specific parts, it would be $results-body-loginResponse-blah-blah... But It's not giving me that, it's not really giving me anything back, just an empty simple xml object... So one website made me think I might need an XSLT to read this correctly. Or something else made me think it's because I don't have at the top. Help!

  • How can I create a weekly calendar view for an Android Honeycomb application?

    - by BVB
    I am working on an Android (v3.0) application that has a requirement of mimicking the weekly calendar layout found on Google Calendar: The events will be based on external requests through the Google Calendar API (I already have this part working). Using the API, I can obtain a list of events for the week, with each event having a starting and and ending datetime. I would like to use this data to show the scheduled events to the application's users in a view similar to the one above. Here's what I have so far: The XML appears below: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_width="800dp" android:layout_height="match_parent" android:orientation="vertical" > <TextView android:id="@+id/textView1" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" </RelativeLayout> </ScrollView> </LinearLayout> My approach was to make 40dp equal to 1 hr of time. Thus, whenever I would like to add an event that has a duration of 1.5 hours, I will make an 60dp button that I will place at the exact location that the time begins (12am = 0dp from the top, 1pm = 40dp from the top, 2pm = 80d from the top, etc). My questions are: Is there a better way of doing this? How can I convert my XML to be stand-alone view that could be added to any Android project? (I plan on perhaps making a blog post about the end product) Thank you!

  • How to use Active Directory's homeDirectory attribute for Samba?

    - by Shiroi98
    I currently have a Samba share setup where I would like to share Unix folders with Windows users, with Active directory as the backend. I see that there is an attribute called homeDirectory in Active Directory, but no matter what I set, Samba refuses to use that attribute (verified by doing "getent passwd") Additionally, I tried the template homedir = /home/%u in /etc/samba/smb.conf, but the problem is, some users have /home_abc/[username] while others have /home_def/[username]. That sets ALL users to /home/[username]. If I don't use the template homedir, by default it is set to /home/[DOMAIN]/[username]. Bottomline: How can I use Active directory's homeDirectory attribute to set users Home Directory in Unix/Samba? Any help greatly appreciated! :)

  • OS X: What does the '@' attribute on a file mean?

    - by claytontstanley
    On a Snow Leopard machine, at the Terminal: la ~/src/rmcl/ | grep RMCL -rw-r--r--@ 1 claytonstanley staff 6766167 Nov 13 2009 RMCL What is that '@' attribute? This file is part of an older OS X program that runs under Rosetta. I'm having issues where some older programs running under Rosetta require the @ attribute when opening files. But I'm not sure what that attribute is, so I have no way to know how to add/remove it. I did try a thorough Google search on this, but I wasn't able to find the answer. I would have thought this would be an easy one to find. Maybe the Google query isn't acting properly because of the single @ special character. Any info. is much appreciated. Thanks!

  • encodingStyle usage in XmlSerializer.Serialize

    - by Vishal Seth
    Can somebody please explain the use of 4th parameter of public void Serialize( XmlWriter xmlWriter, Object o, XmlSerializerNamespaces namespaces, string encodingStyle ) My issue is this: I've following string in one of the fields of my object: "reviewed ?" // music notation When I serialize it, it becomes & # x E; // see it as one word, w/o spaces it won't let me type And it fails when I try to transform this .NET generated XML through another XSL file Is it happening because its serializing using UTF-16? Is there any way I can make it transform using UTF-8 and make this "error" go away? **

  • Android: TabHost How To: set new content in existing tabs upon menu button?

    - by Martin D.
    Hello stackoverflow, I recently started Android programming and was working on my first program which displays a historic text document, sectioned by tabs via TabHost. I have limited my program to one activity and merely used setContent in my TabSpec's to switch between different XML views. The document has both unedited and corrected versions of the text for which I have built text views to accommodate. I wanted to implement the standard menu to have buttons to "view corrected" and "view original" and switch the content of the tabs which have changes (without altering the tabs or their indicators). I've read on the TabHost API and there is no way to edit existing tab content with setContent() of TabSpec; and AFAIK TabWidget only affects the actual tabs, not the content that is displayed upon pressing them. I've thought about creating a new class which extended TabHost and super() all of the original methods, while including one more which updated the mTabSpec list. My question would be, how would I update the frameLayout view of a specific tab to display content I specify?

  • How to use a SOAP API in ASP.NET?

    - by jonhobbs
    Hi, I've trying to use the API for CapsuleCRM... http://capsulecrm.com/help/page/api_gettingstarted I've been reading some articles on SOAP in asp.net and I just don't get it. Most of them seem to be ablut creating a web service, not using it and none of them seem to explain how to use basic HTTP authentication. I have got as far as constructing the XML i want to send to the API but I could really do with seeing some example code which makes an http call using http authentication to a SOAP API. Maybe I'm just searching for the wrong thing but I've drawn a blank so far. Can anybody show me how? Jon

  • Why is my Tomcat 6 executor thread pool not being used by the connector?

    - by jwegan
    My server.xml looks like the following: <!--The connectors can use a shared executor, you can define one or more named thread pools--> <Executor name="tomcatThreadPool" namePrefix="catalina-exec-" maxThreads="200" minSpareThreads="4"/> <Connector executor="tomcatThreadPool" port="8080" protocol="HTTP/1.1" connectionTimeout="10000" maxKeepAliveRequests="1" redirectPort="8443" /> <Connector port="8009" protocol="AJP/1.3" redirectPort="8443" /> However, in the Tomcat manager (http://localhost/manager/status) it shows to following http-8080: Max threads: -1 Current thread count: -1 Current thread busy: -1 jk-8009: Max threads: 200 Current thread count: 4 Current thread busy: 1 For some reason it looks like http-8080 isn't using the executor even though it is directed too and jk-8009 is using the executor even though it isn't instructed to. Is the manager just misreporting or have I not setup the thread pool correctly?

  • Using generics with XmlSerializer

    - by MainMa
    Hi, When using XML serialization in C#, I use code like this: public MyObject LoadData() { XmlSerializer xmlSerializer = new XmlSerializer(typeof(MyObject)); using (TextReader reader = new StreamReader(settingsFileName)) { return (MyObject)xmlSerializer.Deserialize(reader); } } (and similar code for deserialization). It requires casting and is not really nice. Is there a way, directly in .NET Framework, to use generics with serialization? That is to say to write something like: public MyObject LoadData() { // Generics here. XmlSerializer<MyObject> xmlSerializer = new XmlSerializer(); using (TextReader reader = new StreamReader(settingsFileName)) { // No casts nevermore. return xmlSerializer.Deserialize(reader); } }

  • XStream <-> Alternative binary formats (e.g. protocol buffers)

    - by sehugg
    We currently use XStream for encoding our web service inputs/outputs in XML. However we are considering switching to a binary format with code generator for multiple languages (protobuf, Thrift, Hessian, etc) to make supporting new clients easier and less reliant on hand-coding (also to better support our message formats which include binary data). However most of our objects on the server are POJOs with XStream handling the serialization via reflection and annotations, and most of these libraries assume they will be generating the POJOs themselves. I can think of a few ways to interface an alternative library: Write an XStream marshaler for the target format. Write custom code to marshal the POJOs to/from the classes generated by the alternative library. Subclass the generated classes to implement the POJO logic. May require some rewriting. (Also did I mention we want to use Terracotta?) Use another library that supports both reflection (like XStream) and code generation. However I'm not sure which serialization library would be best suited to the above techniques.
