  • Easy one? Access an object's property by using a variable in C# [closed]

    Possible Duplicate: Property Name and need its value Hi, This one should be easy for most people. I'd like to access a normal variable in an object (let's say example) by using a variable value. E.g.: I have a an array with a list of variable names and I want to get the information from the object by using them. Obviously this is wrong: string[] variable_names = new string[] {"name", "surname"}; myObject.variable_names[0] = 1; myObject.variable_names[1] = 1; In other languages (not C#) I use: myObject[variable_names[0]] = 1; I know the example looks stupid but it was just a way of explaining it. Thanks in advance :)

    I was hoping to keep cross-browser compatibility and afaik this is the only issue so far. .setAttribute("onclick", "return showRapidText("+itemnum+");"); This works PERFECT but I'd like to make it IE compatible by putting it in this syntax .onclick = new Function("fnDisplay_Computers('" + alines[i] + "')"); so... I tried .onclick = new Function("showRapidText('" + itemnum + "')"); and .onclick = new Function("return showRapidText('" + itemnum + "')"); and about 40 other ways but nothing works

  • Is there any simple C++ code to grab video from UVC webcam and display it simultaneously?

    I'm very very new to Linux and programming! I'm using ubuntu 11.10 - 64 bits with gcc 4.6.1 I've been searching online for an example C++ code that simply grabs video from a compliant UVC webcam and displays it simultaneously.. I need to compile it on gcc. In OpenCV, it's a very simple code less than 20 lines as I remember! I found this: http://v4l2spec.bytesex.org/spec/capture-example.html But it's very huge code relative to OpenCV code ?! and even when I tried to compile it using gcc.. I got many errors! I copied the code into a cpp file: cap.cpp then wrote in the terminal: gcc cap.cpp -o cap and the errors showed up... same errors with g++ I hope if someone can help me and tell me where can I find another simpler code? and how can I test it ? I think it has something to do with wrappers, but i can't get a simple answer for this from the web. So in simple terms the only piece of this code which changes is the bit between the try {} the rest is standard code that i have currently used over 100 times and is turning out to be a pain to maintain.     I'm new to JavaScript so I have no idea why this code does not work and validate my HTML5 Form like it should. The JavaScript code which can be found below is supposed to check if the browser supports the required attribute and if it doesn't then it will validate the form and check for any empty spaces. I got the code from this website.   • How to organize Windows Phone code base to target both 7.x and 8 platforms

    I took over a Windows Phone project which was previously targeting WP 7.1 platform, and with the recent announcement of the new platform it should target WP 8 as well. My VS 2010 solution consists on several projects (Data access, Model, Tests and WP7 client app) and i am wandering on how to include support for WP8. I have to note that the code-base is not compatible with WP8, due to usage of Toolkit controls and other 3rd party libraries targeted for WP7.1 specifically. Also there is another problem with the Visual Studio versions - WP7.1 can work with VS 2010, but WP8 requires VS 2012. Should i move the whole code-base to VS 2012? Any good advice on how to organize code-base in a most meaningful way in order to avoid duplication and possible painful maintenance? I am thinking between one solution - multiple projects vs. multiple solutions - reusable projects approach. Code duplication (like two separate folders/solutions) should be the least possible approach (fallback).

  • Some confusion with a class variable, but with a twist...

    I have a class called MyPackage.WebServer and it has a property called DBEngine. I am also dynamically loading a module and class using load_module. Inside this class, it attempts to reference MyPackage.WebServer. When it does though, DBEngine is not set to the value given when WebServer is instantiated. It's the default (None). Would the fact that I'm using load_module cause a different object graph to be created and thus isolate my dynamically loaded class from the rest of my python app?

But the data comes in data blocks from the network so I need to use reallocation every time I get the data block. Is there any elegant solution for char * reallocation and concatenation in C++?

  • What is the opposite of JAXB? i.e. generating XML FROM classes?

    I am currently designing a solution to a problem I have. I need to dynamically generate an XML file on the fly using Java objects, in the same way JAXB generates Java classes from XML files, however the opposite direction. Is there something out there already like this? Alternatively, a way in which one could 'save' a state of java classes. The goal I am working towards is a dynamically changing GUI, where a user can redesign their GUI in the same way you can with iGoogle.

    Hi, i have an ajax call. Php page (A) called by ajax requires some other php page (B). Page "B" is php file looking something like this <html> <head> javascript code </head> <body> PHP Code </body> Inside of "head" tags is javascript code. Now, Page "A" includes page "B", but instead of expected result, it echoes pure javascript code from included page "B"! How to prevent that?

  • How do I generate an Array string from an array in memory (php).

    I need to create a big array in my code, I have the values in several tables (for easy management). I select it and now I have all the values in an array, in memory in the way I want. My problem, I need to write this array down, into the code. Is there a way to take an array which sits in the memory and translate it into a string "array('g'='h','b'='d'....)" which I can then echo and just copy-paste into my code?
