  • Android non-full screen app startup during voice call

    Hello, Is it possible to start the application on the Android phone (starting with Froyo), when there is an incoming voice call? In other words, the incoming voice call should trigger the application startup. In such a case the application should not be full-screen, but should cover only part of the screen to not hide the native controls for accepting or rejecting the call.   • Is there a faster way to launch Activity on Android when using maven?

    Within Eclipse, everything works perfectly when I run 'mvn install android:deploy'...however, this takes about 18 seconds to complete. Is there a faster way to launch my android application.   • Unable to install gem "pg" on Ubuntu 12.10 (AMD64)

    I've been (unsuccessfully) trying to install the "pg" gem on my ruby 1.9.3-p286 but nothing seems to work. I've already installed postgresql (9.1), libpq-dev and a few others like postgresql-server-dev-9.1. I've tried to pass the "with-pg-config" flag to the gem install but simply nothing seems to work.     Hello everyone, I'm in the design phase for a desktop-based application. Because of the nature of this particular application, I believe it would benefit greatly from a web-based approach (i.e., allowing a user to interface with the application through a browser running in kiosk mode) in order to leverage the simplicity of HTML/CSS/JS and the availability of many great JS interface plugins. Does taking this approach (rather than coding in a native or cross-platform graphics library) come with any gotchas?

    Language : C++ Platform : Windows Server 2003 I have an exe calling a DLL, in which when I allocate (new) the memory for class A (which is in DLL) it returns me a non-local heap pointer. I try to new other classes which are in DLL and "new" returns a valid heap pointer for them, its only Class A which is not being allocated properly. I am on windows and validating the heap by this function call : _CrtIsValidHeapPointer ( (const void *) pPtr ) I am seriously confused why this only happens with new-ing Class A and no other class ? (All Native Code)

    Release notes say that ruby-debug is installed by default. I'm using rvm. In my rails app I figured something as simple as script/server --debugger would suffice, but it complains that the ruby-debug gem isn't installed, suggests using gem install ruby-debug, which of course doesn't work (building native extensions) and is contrary to the docs anyway. Just wondering if anyone's had any luck using the built in ruby-debug in jruby 1.5 and what one needs to do in order run jruby in debug mode

    Is it possible to change the behavior of the yui text editor so that when you make markup changes (via the toolbar bar buttons), for example changing from a paragraph to say a heading or to a list, and you dont have any text selected it assumes you mean the current block that the cursor is in So to change a paragraph to a heading rather than selecting the whole line you just place the cursor somewhere in the paragraph and select heading from the styles drop down.
