    I try to use this: xml2struct when I use this xml: <XMLname attrib1="Some value"> <Element>Some text</Element> <DifferentElement attrib2="2">Some more text</DifferentElement> <DifferentElement attrib3="2" attrib4="1">Even more text</DifferentElement> </XMLname> I can create a struct: test = xml2struct('C:\bla\bla.xml'); (tested it with class(test)) It looks like this: test = Name: 'XMLname' Attributes: [1x1 struct] Data: '' Children: [1x7 struct] But I cannot access: test.XMLname.Element.Text I get: ??? Reference to non-existent field 'XMLname'. Any ideas?

    Part of my application maps resources stored in a number of locations onto web URLs like this: http://servername/Issue.aspx/Details?issueID=1504/productId=2345 Is it possible to construct an MVC route that matches this so that I get the path in its entirety passed into my controller? Either as a single string or possibly as an params style array of strings. In my Global.aspx I have routes.MapRoute( "Issue", "Issue/{Details}", new { controller = "Issue", action = "Details" }, new { issueId = @"\d+", productId = @"\d+" } ); I have tried the code RouteValueDictionary parameters = new RouteValueDictionary { {"Controller", "Issue"},{ "action", "Details" }, { "issueId", Test.ID }, {"productId", Test.Project.ID} }; VirtualPathData vpd = RouteTable.Routes.GetVirtualPath(null, parameters); var test = vpd.VirtualPath; test value is /Issue.aspx/Details?issueId=1504&productId=3625. How to generate URLs Using ASP.NET Routing and sends it to users and they should be able to open the page by clicking on the generated link. However, here the servername isn`t included. How can I have the servername with the the link as http://servername/Issue.aspx/Details?issueID=1504/productId=2345

    I am using the CodeSorcery arm-eabi-gcc tool chain and I have a problem using ld separate from gcc I can compile my simple program and link it, if I let gcc call the ld. This works not problem g++ test.cpp; # Works This does not work because of missing symbols g++ -c test.cpp ld -o test crti.o crtbegin.o test.o crtend.o crtn.o -lgcc -lc -lstdc++; # Fails Notice I am adding the gcc libraries to the ld command What am I missing? Also if there is a better way to make configuring ld to using the default gcc linking? Thanks

    Hi all, I am working in a desktop application using java. In my application i have to perform a speed test which will show the file uploading and downloading speed. For uploading test i am uploading a small test file to a FTP server and based on time taken i am calculating the file upload speed. similarly i am downloading a test file form server and calculating download speed. But result i am getting doesn't match with actual FTP file uploading and downloading speed.it seems that the establishing connection to FTP server is increasing the time, hence the resultant speed i am calculating is less. Could you suggest any link or some way to get nearest uploading and downloading speed. i thanks to all your valuable suggestion.

    Hello, I have an @url.Action in which I pass a parameter to the action. When the parameter is null, I would like to just do nothing and stay on the same page. What I have done is the following: routes.MapRoute( null, "Test/View/{Id}", new { controller = "Test", action = "View" }, new { Id = @"\d+" } //id must be numerical ); routes.IgnoreRoute("Test/View/{*pathInfo}"); The action is not executed but my problem is that I get this: Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly. Requested URL: /Test/View Which I obvisouly do not want to see. Thanks for your help.

    I need to simulate a test scenario in which I call the getBytes() method of a String object and I get an UnsupportedEncodingException. I have tried to achieve that using the following code: String nonEncodedString = mock(String.class); when(nonEncodedString.getBytes(anyString())).thenThrow(new UnsupportedEncodingException("Parsing error.")); The problem is that when I run my test case I get a MockitoException that says that I can't mock a java.lang.String class. Is there a way to mock a String object using mockito or, alternatively, a way to make my String object throw an UnsupportedEncodingException when I call the getBytes method?   • Selecting an item in an HTML SELECT list using keyboard doesnt trigger the CLICK event

    I have an HTML select list which, when an item is selected, must show different information beneath it. The onclick or JQuery change events are triggered when a select list item is selected by being clicked on (mouse), but not when the user uses key presses (keyboard). Any idea what event to watch in order to determine when the selected list item has changed?   • C++ Constructor initialization list strangeness

    I have always been a good boy when writing my classes, prefixing all member variables with m_: class Test { int m_int1; int m_int2; public: Test(int int1, int int2) : m_int1(int int1), m_int2(int int2) {} }; void main() { Test t(10, 20); // Just an example } However, recently I forgot to do that and ended up writing: class Test { int int1; int int2; public: // Very questionable, but of course I meant to assign ::int1 to this->int1! Test(int int1, int int2) : int1(int1), int2(int2) {} }; Believe it or not, the code compiled with no errors/warnings and the assignments took place correctly! It was only when doing the final check before checking in my code when I realised what I had done. My question is: why did my code compile? Is something like that allowed in the C++ standard, or is it simply a case of the compiler being clever? In case you were wondering, I was using Visual Studio 2008 Thank you.

  • Prototype and jQuery concatenation failure

    I found something strange when trying to concatenate prototype and jQuery. It seems as though when concatenated, the $ jquery reference doesn't get overwritten by prototype. I've built two test cases to single this out, and it's failing in Chrome8 and FF 3.6. Test Case 1 - Without Concatenation jQuery and Prototype are loaded separately with different script tags. jQuery is loaded first, Prototype second. Test Case 2 - With Concatenation jQuery and Prototype are concatenated into a single file, and loaded with a single script tag. jQuery is first in the script, and prototype is added second. These should act identically, but the second test is throwing errors because the $ function in prototype doesn't overwrite the $ jquery reference. Did I set these up wrong, or are browsers rendering javascript differently when it's all in the same file?

    Hi guys, I have an ajax view where I want to set a session variable like such: def upload(request, *args, **kwargs): request.session['test'] = 'test' request.session.modified = True print request.session.items() I have another normal view something like this: def advertise(request): print request.session.items() I get these two strings printed to shell: [('test', 'test')] [('_auth_user_backend', 'django.contrib.auth.backends.ModelBackend'), ('_auth_user_id', 26L)] Why is the session data that I set in the ajax view not passing to my regular views? If I set session data in regular view, everything works as fine, but it seems that ajax requests contain empty session data? Anybody dealt with something like this before? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  • Why is url not registered?(Drupal 6.x)

    I'm using hook_menu to register new url so that accessing this url would return some data to ajax function. As title suggested, this url is not registered. How do I know that? I've tried typing this in address bar but, drupal, return main template only rather than the tests string that I created. I'm positive that my module is working for php issues error if I intentionally write wrong syntax. And, yes, I clear cache whenever I make changes.   • Why is the dictionary debug visualizer less useful in Visual Studio 2010 for Silverlight debugging?

    I was debugging in Visual Studio 2010, which we just installed and trying to look at a dictionary in the quick watch window. I see Keys and Values, but drilling into those shows the Count and Non-Public members, Non-Public members continues the trail and I never see the values in the dictionary. I can run test.Take(10) and see the values, but why should I have to do that. I don't have VS 2008 installed anymore to compare, but it seems that I could debug a dictionary much easier. Why is it this way now? Is it just a setting I set somehow on my machine? Test code: Dictionary<string, string> test = new Dictionary<string, string>(); test.Add("a", "b"); EDIT: I've just tried the same debug in a Console app and it works as expected.   • Embeddable unit testing framework for mixed Windows app

    I want to test portions of a very complex app which includes both a major native Windows component and a substantial WPF GUI. Due to complexities I can't detail, it is impossible to run the native portion independently nor can I isolate the areas I want to test (spare me the lectures, we're talking a huge legacy code base and we do have refactoring plans). I'm looking for a unit test kit I can invoke on the native side but must be able to run with the app launched with the managed portion initialised. That seems to rule out the run executable feature of the cfix Windows unit test kit. I really like their philosophy, like WinUnit, of using DLL compilation as a way to add the reflective capabilities missing in C++ and gain a more NUnit-like experience. Ideally, I want something like WinUnit running within the application code and generating an HTML report. I'm trying to introduce more TDD and having things as lean as possible is important.

  • Getting Assert to work in Visual C++ Unit Tests?

    I'm using Visual Studio 2008's built in testing framework in my Visual C++ project. I'm adding a new Test Project, then a new Unit Test. However, I can't use any of the functions provided by Assert. Assert shows up in the Intellisense, but I can't do anything with it. I've done unit tests fine in Visual C#. Am I forgetting to do anything? EDIT: There isn't much code because everything I'm doing is auto-generated by Visual Studio 2008. Here are the steps I'm doing: File - New Project - Visual C++ - General - Empty Project Right click solution in Solution Explorer - Add - New Project... Visual C++ - Test - Test Project Open UnitTest1.cpp (auto-generated) Go to TestMethod1() From here, when I try to use the Assert class (like Assert.AreEqual), I can't do it. If I do the same in a Visual C# project, it works fine.

    I'm writing a simple mod_perl handler that relies on $r-path_info() to do some request routing. However, I find that it's always eating the first part of PATH_INFO when mounted on root. Let's say that the handler just prints the value of $r-path_info: <Location /TEST> PerlHandler MyHandler </Location> Request: /TEST/123 Expected PATH_INFO: /123 Got PATH_INFO: /123 (yay!) <VirtualHost *:80> # or <Location /> for that matter PerlHandler MyHandler </VirtualHost> Request: /123 Expected PATH_INFO: /123 Got PATH_INFO: nothing!
