  Persistent data structures depend on the sharing of structure for efficiency. For an example, see here. How can I preserve the structure sharing when I serialize the data structures and write them to a file or database? If I just naively traverse the datastructures, I'll store the correct values, but I'll lose the structure sharing. I'd like to be able to save data-structures with shared components to a file, restore them, and still have most of the structure shared in the restored data.

• Loading city/state from SQL Server to Google Maps?

  I'm trying to make a small application that takes a city & state and geocodes that address to a lat/long location. Right now I am utilizing Google Map's API, ColdFusion, and SQL Server. Basically the city and state fields are in a database table and I want to take those locations and get marker put on a Google Map showing where they are. • Google Maps API : V2 : marker icons are not square

  I have generated a bunch of png files to use as markers on my site. However when I applied them using GIcon(). I see that they are squeezed such that the height is more than the width. This even though my png files are exactly 22x22 pixels. I don't think I have the resources to generate the whole set to fit the odd 20x34 or some such size. Is there any way this can be fixed ? I tried specifying a GSize() to unsqueeze them, but that didn't work.

• Implementing Unowned relationship Google App Engine

  My question is more of a best practices question on how to implement unowned relationships with Google App Engine. I am using JDO to do my persistence and like recommended in the google docs I'm persisting my list of unowned relationships like so: @PersistenceCapable(identityType = IdentityType.APPLICATION) public class User implements Serializable, UserDetails { ... @Persistent private List<Key> groups; ... } Now I came across my predicament when I went to query that list of objects using they Key object. So when I get my list of group keys in order to actually return a list of Group objects I have to do a look up on that key to get the object. My question is what is the recommended way of doing a unowned look up on a model object? Should I have an instance of the PersistanceManagerFactory on my Model object so I can do a lookup? Should I have an instance of my GroupDAO object on my Model object so I can do a look up? Should I have a Utility to do this type of lookup? I'm new to this so I just want to know which is the best way to do this. Thanks.

I tried using functions to call another page like request dispatcher(), redirect() calling myhtml.js page directly after myservlet process the query results. But i get the result like this google.visualization.Query.setResponse......... /Tiger'},{v:80.0}, {v:false}]}]}}); and the entire myhtml.js code page below it on the browsers that to without the chart been draw.   If I was using the following: https://developers.google.com/chart/interactive/docs/gallery/annotatedtimeline Assuming I did not have the line: data.addColumn('number', 'Sold Pencils'); or anything referring to 'Sold Pencils'; How do I make it such that when the user clicks an external link 'Sold Pencils' I am able to retrieve the data and add it to the graph (without the user refreshing the page). Is there some way to redraw the graph/add the column in this way?

  I am not getting and event data in GA. I installed Google Analytics Debugger Chrome extension and I see nothing happening (same goes when looking at Network panel in developer tools). I Googled it and read many (many) other answers and it looks like I'm doing things right. Page views, etc. are registering correctly...   Under the application settings page in the Administration console, it is possible to specify a name for the application, AFAIK this is used in the login page when using the users API to login. I would like to be able to use this information within an application, currently, the title is also specified in a separate configuration file, but configuration repetition is something I would like to avoid if at all possible. Is there some way for a GAE application to determine the "Application Title"? Oh, also, I am using python.

  Hello All, I have a big problem with Google Chrome and its memory. My app is displaying to user several image charts and reloads them every 10s. Here the response headers for images Server Apache-Coyote/1.1 Vary * Cache-Control no-store (// I try no-cache, must-revalidate and so on here) Content-Type image/png Content-Length 11131 Date Mon, 31 May 2010 14:00:28 GMT Vary * taken from here In about:cache page there is no my cached images. If i enable purge-memory-button for chrome (--purge-memory-button parameter) it`s not help. Images is in PNG24. So i think that the problem is not in cache. May be Google Chrome is not releasing memory for old images. Please help. Any suggestions. Thanks.

  I have a simple GAE app that includes a login/logout link. This app is running on the dev server at the moment. The base page handler gets the current user, and creates a login/logout url appropriately. However, it seems to have no effect - the server still seems to think the user is logged out. What am I doing wrong here?
