    Hi I'm fighting to get the following mapping working in Grails 1.3.1 and MySQL: class Login { int id String email static mappings = { table 'my_table' id column: "Mgr_id" version: false } } No matter what I do the queries that are being issued refer to "schema.login" table instead of "schema.my_table". This is very frustrating... Can anyone answer why this might not be working?

  • iPhone app distribution: What name will appear on the AppStore?

    Hi there, Is there a way to change the name that displays on the AppStore, rather than the name associated with the credit card/apple ID associated with the developer programme? For example, if my name on my credit card was foo, and the name on the apple ID was foo, but I actually want the name displayed on the AppStore (i.e. next to my App's name and details) to be bar.   • Windows 2008 - Define IP Order by port or service

    I have a Windows 2008 server that has three IP bound to the NIC. I can select which IP Windows SMTP listens to, but I want to also set the IP address used when mail is sent. Where would I set which outbound IP to use when sending email? Without using real IPs, here is an example what I have setup. Three IPs associated with the server: 10.0.0.1 10.0.0.2 10.0.0.3 I setup the binding on 10.0.0.2 for port 25 in the SMTP server settings, so that it is the only IP that will respond for inbound. When I look at the email header from an email sent from that server, it lists the server with an address of 10.0.0.3. I would like it to use 10.0.0.2 so that when reverse DNS is performed, it maps back correctly.

    My question is about integration between a Java web service and a C# .NET client. Service: CXF 2.2.3 with Aegis databinding Client: C#, .NET 3.5 SP1 For some reason Visual Studio generates two C# proxy enums for each Java enum. The generated C# classes do not compile.   • MySQL - mysqldump --routines to only export 1 stored procedure (by name) and not every routine

    So we have a lot of routines that come out from exporting. We often need to get these out in CLI, make changes and bring them back in. Yes some of these are managed by different folks and a better change control is required but for now this is the situation. If I do mysqldump --routines --no-create-info --no-data --no-create-db then great I have 200 functions I need to go through a file to find just the one or set I want. Is there anyway to mysqldump routines that I want like there is for tables???

  • Please define: "Maximum Memory Supported - 10GB, Service Upgradable Only"

    I am assuming this means that the RAM modules can only be inserted/removed from some place very inconvenient? Maybe under the keyboard? Or does this mean something more strict, as in the only way to get an upgraded module in the laptop is via some special toolset, or verified through the hardware to allow the system to recognize the new memory? I ask because I'd want to know if I need to buy my own additional RAM, since I can't seem to find a way to get to 8GB. A Google search result turned up very little other than hits for shopping.   • Adding tables to sql server result in Domain\user.name.tablename

    Our app uses migratordotnet to modify the backing SQL Server 2005 database. This works great 99% of the time but we are running into an issue. We have a client that is using and Active Directory group for sql server login and when new tables are added it creates them as Domain\login.table_name. What permissions are needed to be given to the AD group to add the tables as dbo.table_name? This does not happen in with all of our clients with similar configurations so I must be missing something.

  • Check for live Data Source Name Before proceeding

    Would it be ok to get a CF app to check for a valid database before proceeding to process that request? This is because there may be instances where the database server may be down or being upgraded, hence an error comes when a db dependant request is made. If there is no connection to the db server, the user can be safely redirected to a safe page. Or can cfcatch work? How can this check be done? Thank you.

  • WSDL first for existing service layer

    I am working on an existing Java project with a typical services - dao setup for which only a webapplication was available. My job is to add webservices on top of the services layer, but the webservices have their own functional analysis and datamodel. The functional analyses ofcource focuses on what is possible in the different service methods. As good practice demands, we used the WSDL first strategy and generated JAXB bound Java classes and a SEI for the webservices. After having implemented the webservices partially, we noticed a 70% match between the datamodel. This resulted in writing converters which take the webservice JAXB classes and map them with the service layer classes. Customer customer = new Customer(); customer.setName(wsCustomer.getName()); customer.setFirstName(wsCustomer.getFirstName(); .. This is a very obvious example, some other mappings where little more complicated. Can anyone give his best practices, experiences, solutions to this kind of situations?     I dont use google maps much, but I was using it today and I clicked the "Show my location" button for the first time, then firefox asked for permission and I clicked "share my location", google maps showed my location pretty accurate. But, how does this system really works? I mean how can google know where I live? I am connecting to the internet with a VPN, so my "public IP" is not from my country, but from sweden, also I use linux and I change the mac of my wireless device, but google still show my location. I know I can disable this feature setting firefox about:config geo.enabled to false, but I am curious about how google can know where I live even when I dont have a real mac address and my IP is not from my real country. Basically I'd like to know if this feature works only because of code that exists in chrome and firefox (which spies my system)? I am worried about anyone knowing where I live, I mean... where is my privacy? Part of the fun about the internet is remaining anonymous.

    Consider I have the following models - class Team(db.Model): # say I have just 5 teams name = db.StringProperty() class Player(db.Model): # say I have thousands of players name = db.StringProperty() team = db.ReferenceProperty(Team, collection_name="player_set") Key name for each Team entity = 'team_' , and for each Player entity = 'player_' By some prior arrangement I have a Team entity's (key_name, name) mapping available to me. For example (team_01, United States Of America), (team_02, Russia) etc I have to show all the players and their teams on a page. One way of doing this would be - players = Player.all().fetch(1000) # This is 1 DB read for player in players: # This will iterate 1000 times self.response.out.write(player.name) # This is obviously not a DB read self.response.out.write(player.team.name) #This is a total of 1x1000 = 1000 DB reads That is a 1001 DB reads for a silly thing. The interesting part is that when I do a db.to_dict() on players, it shows that for every player in that list there is 'name' of the player and there is the 'key_name' of the team available too. So how can I do the below ?? players = Player.all().fetch(1000) # This is 1 DB read for player in players: # This will iterate 1000 times self.response.out.write(player.name) # This is obviously not a DB read self.response.out.write(team_list[player.<SOME WAY OF GETTING TEAM KEY NAME>]) # Here 'team_list' already has (key_name, name) for all 5 teams I have been struggling with this for a long time. Have read every available documentation. I could just hug the person that can help me here :-) Disclaimer: The above problem description is not a real scenario. It is a simplified arrangement that represents my problem exactly. I have run into it in a rater complex and big GAE appication.

  • Web service access fails when users password is in warning period

    We have a number of locally installed .Net apps that communicate via web services. Authentication in IIS is handled by Windows Authentication so no additional login is required. We recently began seeing a problem where users are getting a application 403 error when there password is 14 days (or less) from expiring. As this sometime happens in the the middle of the day (login in the morning OK, but password reaches <14 days during the day), this comes as a surprise as they haven't been warned to change their password. Of course, one would expect they should be able to work until the password is expired. Any idea on what could be happening here? Why would IIS reject a login if the passsword hasn't actually expired?   • Creating a new object destroys an older object with different name in C++

    First question here! So, I am having some problems with pointers in Visual C++ 2008. I'm writing a program which will control six cameras and do some processing on them so to clean things up I have created a Camera Manager class. This class handles all operations which will be carried out on all the cameras. Below this is a Camera class which interacts with each individual camera driver and does some basic image processing. Now, the idea is that when the manager is initialised it creates two cameras and adds them to a vector so that I can access them later. The catch here is that when I create the second camera (camera2) the first camera's destructor is called for some reason, which then disconnects the camera. Normally I'd assume that the problem is somewhere in the Camera class, but in this case everything works perfectly as long as I don't create the camera2 object. What's gone wrong? I'm asking this question since in AutoIt v3 (interpreted language) it was brought up that having variables with short names like aa instead of veryLongVariableName is much much faster (when program is bigger then 5 liner).   • Illegal Character in File Name

    Hi, During my file upload process, I found illegal character getting saved in Table. zurück.pdf, C _Word.doc were the file names. Here ü, space between C and _Word was found as ? in the Table Column. I have validate the filename in client side by replacing non-alpha numeric values by _ (underscore), but still it escapes and persist into DB. How can these handled in Client side?
