  Hello, I want to develop using a framework called symfony BUT, i do not have a MAC and i don't want to dual boot with Debian. I tryed virtual hosts via Virtual Box but it's too crappy. So i decided to stay on windows So when the tutorial tells me to do php lib/vendor/symfony/data/bin/check_configuration.php i do in the windows cmd : php lib\vendor\symfony\data\bin\check_configuration.php and it tells me : 'php' is not recognized as an internal or external command I use UwAmp (php 5.2.12 + mysql + apache) which is stored in E:\logiciels\UwAmp\ inside i have buch of file, but i guess that is important : E:\logiciels\UwAmp\apache\php_5.2.11 How to make the cmd PHP in the windows cmd work propely please?

• generate images with labels from a database

  hi there I need to have some images into my database, and the thing is that i need that images to have certain file names, dimensions and text on it. I know how to generate some images using the opencv lib, but this means that i need to install the lib and do just that job(which sounds as reinventing the wheel). Do you think is worth to do that or maybe you have a better idea? ps: the images are for testing stage of a software application, so i don;t need anything fancy or artistic.

• How to ensure that you are building against STLport.

  I am using Visual C++ 2005 to build a couple of libraries and an executable. I include the STLport location in the Additional Include Path of the libraries and include the library in the input to linker for executable. The library however seems to reffer to stl symbols (such as string) without the stl port namespace.   I have a small project where I need just part of boost library, boost::regex in particular. This is what I've done so far: /include /boost /regex /math .. 189 dirs, files, etc. /lib /boost-regex c_regex_traits.cpp cpp_regex_traits.cpp .. ~20 .cpp files myprog.cpp In my Makefile I compile all boost-regex .cpp files one by one, producing .obj files. Next, I'm building my project by means of compiling myprog.cpp together with all that .obj files from /lib/boost/regex. The question is whether I'm doing everything correct? The size of my output file is rather big (~3.5Mb), while my code is extremely small (10 lines).

  HI, I am using ant build script to build my java app and utilizing Ivy to manage its dependency. As my application is dependent/subset of other application(Main App), when running it, I set the classpath to point to lib jars of the Main App. As I tried to build the kit using ant and ivy, it includes/retrieve all the jars that is required as specified in ivy.xml The problem is, some of the jar files are duplicated with with jars file in the main app folders. Is there a way to set the classpath in build.xml to ignore retrieving jar files that already exist in the main app's lib folder. Thanks

• Sharing a database connection with included classes in a Sinatra application

  I'm converting a part of a rails application to its own sinatra application. It has some beefy work to do and rather than have a million helps in app.rb, I've separated some of it out into classes. Without access to rails I'm rewriting finder several methods and needing access to the database inside of my class. What's the best way to share a database connection between your application and a class? Or would you recommend pushing all database work into its own class and only having the connection established there? These external dependencies are stored in a external_jars directory, and I'd like to be able to not have to list each one out (e.g., to not need to change my build scripts if my dependencies change). Any thoughts?   Sorry for the cryptic title. I have associated python scripts with a batch file that looks like this: python %* I did this because on my machine, python is installed at C:\python26 and I prefer not to reinstall it (for some reason, it won't let me add a file association to the python interpreter. I can copy the executable to Program Files and it works -- but nothing out of Program Files seems to work). Anyways, I can do this, so far: C:\py django-admin C:\py python "C:\python26\Lib\site-packages\django\bin\django-admin.py" Type 'django-admin.py help' for usage. C:\py django-admin startproject myProj C:\py python "C:\python26\Lib\site-packages\django\bin\django-admin.py" Type 'django-admin.py help' for usage. but the additional parameters don't get passed along to the batch script. This is getting very annoying, all I want to do is run python scripts :) How can I grab the rest of the parameters in this situation?

  Using import aliasing in a single class, we can reference class library namespaces by assigning our own custom alias like this: Imports Db = Company.Lib.Data.Objects And then we are able to reference the classes inside of Company.Lib.Data.Objects by using the Db alias that we assigned. Is it possible to do this at the global level so that the alias is applied to the entire solution instead of the given file? Currently, we are working with web applications, so I was hoping we could add something to web.config, but I am also interested in whether or not this is possible with windows forms, console apps, and/or class libraries.

  Hey all, So I've been plagued by this issue, whenever I try to run my app in eclipse, I get this error. 2011-02-23 09:55:08,388 ERROR (com.xxxxx.services.factory.ServiceInvokerLocal:21) - java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no ocijdbc10 in java.library.path I've tried following the steps I found here with no luck. I've tried this on a XP VM as well as windows 7 (although in win 7 I get a different error, below) java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no ocijdbc9 in java.library.path I've made sure my oracle client was ok (by running TOAD) and I also re-added the classes12.jar / ojdbc14.jars to my WEB-INF/lib folder taken directly from my %ORACLE_HOME% folder (also re-added them to the lib path). I've also tried just adding the ojdbc14.jar without the classes12.jar. Any suggestions appreciated. In the XP VM I have my PATH variable set to C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_24\bin;C:\ORACLE\product\10.2.0.1\BIN. I'm using Tomcat server 5.0

If I put it in my Rakefile and/or src_of_myproject/lib/rubygems_plugin.rb file, than build the gem, install it--but the expected string is never printed after the installation. I'm totally confused. How to embed the post-install hook into the gem spec? Update: it's getting more interesting. If I put Gem.post_uninstall hook in src_of_myproject/lib/rubygems_plugin.rb--that hook works. Gem.post_uninstall do |uninstaller| puts "!!! #{uninstaller.spec.full_name} UNINSTALLED !!!" end Hm... And wtf is with Gem.post_install?
